DEATH: Hunters can kill an angel with the help of a fallen archangel or demon. An angel will also die if all of their charges are killed violently and in unnatural ways.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Angels can either be born or be made. Born angels will become angels when they hit puberty and do a good deed. Angels that are made will become angels after they die. If they had done enough good deeds during their years, they will become an angel once death takes them. Angels are only allowed to love humans from afar. This means that they are not allowed to engage in coitus with anyone other than their own species without risk of falling. Those caught killing their own kind (this does not include fallen angels and/or demons) or humans immediately transform into demons.
THE ABILITIES: Angels have several known abilities. They are able to seek out other angels and pure-hearted humans as well as having the ability to fly. They can see very long distances when they are in their angel form. When in human form, angels only have increased strength and perception and maintain an otherwise normal appearance. They are also incredibly quick to heal.
DESCRIPTION: Angels are tall winged human-like creature that can take a human form. Once in human form, the angel may take their desired appearance. However, normal angels only have one chance to do this and is typically granted early on in their lifetime (just before puberty when they grow wings). Wing growth itself is a highly painful process as the skin rips and bones begin to grow out of the center of the angel's back. The growing of the wings is activated by performing a good deed during his/her teens. Angels also bear a golden/silver-transparent like tattoo which crawls up their spinal column. Typically, it takes on flower-like designs in females and tribal, warrior symbols for males. Wings are typically light in color, and have a slight blue (generally male) or purple (generally female) hue to them. They are very pure of heart, and are infamously bad with technology. They are known to be sided with the alliance.

DEATH: Only fallen archangels and archdemons can kill an archangel, and it must be with an angelic/demonic weapon.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Archangels were created by God in the beginning of time, making them the oldest creatures in existence. It's rare, but they can be born to two parent archangels as well. If one of the original archangels dies (which is highly unlikely), an angel of a high ranking would take its place and become an archangel. Archangels can only mate with other archangels or pure angels. If they mate with anyone else, they will lose their wings and become a fallen archangel or an archdemon. Also if an archangel kills a pure angel (without authorization or valid reason) they will descend into corruption.
THE ABILITIES: Archangels have an extended set of abilities compared to the normal angel. They have hawk-eyesight, which is activated when in their angelic form. They can mask their aura to hide from nephilim (see nephilim) and other lesser-immortals (arch demons are the only ones who can sense an archangel vise versa). Archangels can also fly, but they have the ability to teleport which for most is the preferred method of transport (they can also teleport up to two people with them at any given time). Along with being able to sense other immortals and pure-hearted humans, archangels can also influence human minds (and injured or weak lesser-immortals). Out of curtsey and personal beliefs, archangels generally do not use this power.

The leaders of the alliance, this type of angel has been around the longest out of all angels. They have been walking the earth since the dawn of time, thus their abilities and powers are enhanced. Archangels give off a powerful aura which is noticeable to other supernatural species. They cannot be killed easily or by lesser-immortals (or supernaturals). Archangels do not have a fluid human form, they can pick and choose who they want to embody, however, as a general rule, angels stick to their chosen appearance for the length of the normal human life (to blend in). They can also give the illusion of aging, as they lead their lives. Archangels are generally either one of two extremes; very strict and for the old ways or having a good sense of humor, traditional and very forward. These beings are very peaceful. Their wings are often an array of colors, their tattoos very similar (females have a mixture of tribal and flowers, whereas males have a mixture of tribal and ancient language). These (and auras) are the only tell-tale signs that you are dealing with an archangel. Their natural, angelic form is deadly to humans.

DEATH: A hunter cannot kill a demon without the help from a fallen angel or an angel. There is a blade that angels have capable of killing demons.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Demons can be made three different ways; they can be born, they can fall from grace or they become one after death. An angel that has been fully corrupted will become a demon. A human may die and become a demon in their afterlife if they commit enough sins. Demons have interesting mating rituals; if a female demon were to give birth, then the child would be born a fallen, not a completely corrupted demon, although the temptation to corruption is much more prominent than a normal fallen would experience.
THE ABILITIES: Demons have very warped abilities. Whilst angels can see pure-hearted souls, demons can sense a soul on the verge of corruption. Like angels, demons can fly, although it is not nearly as fluid or fast as the angels or the fallen (as their wings are heavily warped). Demons can also see perfectly in the darkness (it does not phase them at all). They can also drink human blood (in very small doses) to increase their strength and perception in their demon forms. Demons can also sense other immortals close by (unless their signature is masked). Finally, demons have telekinesis (used only in small doses as it is very draining) which allows them to manipulate objects and in rare cases people.
DESCRIPTION: A demon is a completely corrupted angel. Their tattoos are deathlike and dark; females consist of dead roses and an array of thorns, males of ritualistisk symbols and writing. To transition into a demon, the tattoo must make its way up the neck and into the spinal column. Here the angel's mind is slowly fed thoughts of corruption and evil until eventually their mind is taken over by a sinful, demonic creature. The demons keep their original personality and appearance, only they tend to display violent and aggressive behavior (and are prone to losing control). They are incredibly lustful and corrupted, taking pleasure in pain and corrupting innocents (there is nothing worse for a pure angel to feel a soul become corrupted). It should be noted that there is no way for a demon to revert back into a fallen or pure angel. Their wings are completely black, crocked and tattered. They still have feathers in certain areas but mostly, their wings have been replaced by a sort of bat-like skin. The bones on their wings are prominent. They are known to be affiliated with the hellspawn.

DEATH: Only other archangels or fallen archangels are able to kill an archdemon. That is the only possible way to do so.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Archdemons are former archangels that have fallen from grace. If an archdemon is killed, then a new one would be elected by Lucifer. They may also be the product of two archdemons.
THE ABILITIES: Archdemons have maintained their hawk vision, (only in demon form) and obtained the ability to see in the dark, just like demons. Archdemons do not have telekinesis, instead they have the ability to instill ideas and actions into the minds of humans and weak lesser immortals. It is not uncommon for archdemons to use this, particularly on those they fancy or those who have disappointed them. Archdemons can also teleport and this form of transportation is their preferred method mainly due to their deformed wings. Like archangels, archdemons can teleport up to two people at any given time.

Archdemons are completely corrupted archangels. They, just like their counterparts, have been around since the dawn of time. They are the leaders of the hellspawn that work alongside prominent representatives of some of the more powerful and influential of the lesser-hellspawn-immortals (see canons). Archdemons can never return to their original state, so for some it was quite confronting, particularly those who fell over such silly mistakes. The archdemons are known for their cruel sense of humor. Their wings are much like the demons, however they flash a brilliant shade of amber, gold and red in their demon form. A human who sees a archdemon in their true form will die immediately. Their tattoos are completely blackened with small strands of red etched into parts of them, giving the markings a blood-drop effect. For females their markings are thorns, dead roses, blood-drops and thorned-vines which tangle up the entire length of their back right to their neck. For males, it is a mixture of ritualistic symbols and ancient runes, each appearing like they are dripping blood. Archdemons are typically a lot more beautiful than their counterparts; it is believed this is due to their intense level of corruption. They are completely controlled by their inner-demon, however, a dash of their personality does remain.

DEATH: Fallen angels can only be killed by other angels and demons with a special blade that is given to angels or demons.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Fallen angels can be born but most of them tend to be angels that have fallen from grace. However, a female human cannot carry the child of a fallen without dying during childbirth. A female fallen however, can carry a child without fear of death, however they will be considerably weaker. Fallen generally make it a rule to not encourage or allow the birth of a half-breed angel as they are incredibly unstable (see nephilim) .
THE ABILITIES: When an angel transitions into a fallen, their abilities change. They still keep their good healing, strength, and speed however; their eye sight is not as good in angel form. Because they are transitional creatures, as they grow darker, their hawk-eye sight slowly changes to night-vision until finally they can see in complete color in the darkness. Fallen can also fly, just like angels.
DESCRIPTION: Fallen are angels who have descended from their pure forms, generally by engaging in coitus with a human (or one of the hellspawn). They are outcast by both the alliance and hellspawn, although increasingly the hellspawn are seeking to sway the fallen over to their side, hoping to tip the balance. Fallen angels are slightly corrupt. Their corruptness is measured by their tattoos. Once a golden-silver color, they have begun to blacken. If female, their flowers begun to die, growing thorns and weeds, and if a male, their tribalism tattoos begin to melt into black, deathly characters and symbols. The transition from angel to fallen is very painful (as the new tattoo is etched out of their blood, creating a wound) and with each corrupt act a fallen engages in the more pain they experience until they transition into demons. This only occurs when their tattoo is completely blackened. Their wings also begin to change, the feathers turning amber and black. A fallen cannot revert back into an angel.

DEATH: Only a follow archbeing can kill a fallen archangel by impaling the heart with a special blade.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Fallen archangels are not born but instead, they are made. They were originally archangels, but because they have done a foolish dead, they were thrown out of heaven and had their wings ripped off.
THE ABILITIES: When an archangel changes into a fallen one, their abilities will change. Their hawk sight will still be there, but they will also gain the ability to see in the dark. They also have the ability, like others, to mask and hide their aura. Like archangels and archdemons, fallen angels can teleport, although they are still able to fly. They are also able to instill thoughts into lesser and weaker beings. This method is not preferred for those fallen archangels don't want to fall further in corruption.

Fallen archangels were originally archangels but fell from grace by committing something that the council considered 'evil', whether it was falling in love with a human or with one of the hellspawns. Either way, they were still thrown out of the golden gates and had their wings torn off. Even though they were thrown out, they are still very powerful beings and have a very strong aura noticeable by others. As these fallen beings descend further into corruption, their tattoos will shift and change. This is a rather painful process. The flowers on the female's tattoo will begin to die and blood drops with form. For males, their tattoos will turn into ritualistic symbols and writing with blood drops amongst it. Usually, fallen angels have a strong dislike towards their former comrades because they were thrown out of heaven. Some might have forgiven the other archangels. Constantly other archdemons and hellspawn members are trying to make the fallen ones fall deeper in corruption. But admit it, it would be nice to have another former archangel on your team.

DEATH: Reapers must be separated from their weapon and be torn into pieces. Another way a reaper could die is by regaining all of its memory. No one is quite sure why this happens, but once a reaper remembers everything from its past life, they will die. That is why most of them tend to be emotionless or unattached to others.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Reapers cannot mate because they are basically dead beings. They are like ghosts. Reapers are only made, and this is when a human commits suicide or a being dies without completing their deal with a demon.
THE ABILITIES: Reapers have a wide variety of abilities. They are immortal beings. First off, they are able to steal souls by using their weapon. Now,, they can't steal just any kind of souls, they have to steal the ones on the 'list'. Those people on the list are close to death. Another ability they have is invisibility; they are able to turn invisible at any given time. They are also able to pass through walls and objects like a ghost. But mind you, they are not ghosts.
DESCRIPTION: You know the grim reaper? Yeah. He was one of the first successful reapers. What is a grim reaper, you ask? They are not ghosts. They are soul collectors, soul thieves, whatever you want to call them. They are immortal beings that are not able to move on. Instead, they wander around graveyards, hospitals, wards, etc. to collect those dying souls. Each of them have their own special weapon to catch souls with. It is the price they have to pay for either not completing their deal with a demon or committing suicide. They have no feelings but instead, live on borrowed emotions they steal form the souls they captured. As time passes, they seem to lose the capability to feel. They try to cling to parts of their past life, but the catch is, when they're reapers, they have a clean slate. They wake up with no memories, whatsoever. They don't remember anything. They are given a new name, a new identity and a completely clean slate. However, if they're lucky, over time, their memories might come back, but there is a price to pay for that. If they fully remember their former life before they're finished collecting all of their souls or becoming a full reaper, they will die or fade away. There have been cases where a reaper has been given a second chance to be a human, become an angel or a demon.

DEATH: Unlike the stories vampires do not fear garlic nor crosses. There are four easy ways to render a vampire useless or kill them completely -- deprive them of blood for two weeks; alternatively and much more simply, throw them into the daylight, not only will they fry but they will be blinded and unable to crawl their way out, having a silver -- not wooden -- stake to the heart or be ripped apart by a (arch)demon, fallen (arch)angel or an (arch)angel.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Most vampires are made, but some are born. In order to become a vampire, there must be an exchange of blood; a vampire must feed on their victim, and in turn offer their own blood for the human to consume. This is a risky process though. There is a 50/50 chance for the person to survive the transformation into a vampire. The human body will completely shut down because of the blood transfer and if they are lucky, they will come back to life as an immortal.
THE ABILITIES: Vampires see perfectly in the dark. They are also very good healers (when freshly fed). They can also move at lightning speeds and are very good climbers. Some of the eldest vampires are also able to persuade humans or make them forget memories. This does prove useful to the vampires, and many of the eldest have several secret human slaves.
DESCRIPTION: Vampires are interesting creatures although far from what modern and recent books describe them. No, these guys do not sparkle in the sunlight. In fact, most would say if only it was that sweet. In this regard, vampires do adhere to the old mythic tales told throughout history -- they cannot go out into the sun. Why? Well to put it simply, they go blind. Yes, that’s right, vampires cannot see in the daylight, they are completely nocturnal. The only way a vampire can go into the sun is if they hire a witch or warlock to cast a very rare, very draining spell on them to allow them to walk the day for one sun cycle. If a vampire was to enter into the sunlight, their skin would slowly begin to bubble until it fried and they burnt to a cinder. in the night vampires see as if it were day (to humans), they have 20-20 vision in this environment and yes, they do feed on blood. Typically beautiful, they are not a force to be reckoned with come nightfall. This species survives on the blood of humans. They love to kill violently and most vampires are quite twisted in nature, giving into their blood lust happily. Vampires make excellent warriors and are often used by archdemons in undercover/investigative work, although some choose to work alone.

DEATH: To kill a harpy one must cut off their wings, however many they may have, and impale them with an iron tipped spear through the heart. They age but it is no slow they are nearly immortal.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: The original three harpies were born to Electra the Okeanid Nymph, wife of the sea god Thaumas. As time went on, the three women had children, and their children had children and so forth. The only way to become a harpy is to be of the blood line.
THE ABILITIES: Harpies can appear as beautiful maidens or men, who surpassed winds and birds in the rapidity of their flight. When they fly the wind follows them, bring wind storms and bad weather. They are just as strong as a regular human but they are very fast and have powerful vision.
DESCRIPTION: The Greek word for harpy means "the shift robbers" and in the Homeric poems depicted as personified storm winds. They were known as the hounds of Zeus and were dispatched by the god to snatch away people and things from the earth. When not other wise occupied they harass and steal golden trinkets and meals from mortals. They three harpies were described as fair-locked and winged maidens, much like the succubus in their beauty. But, with rage and anger, their beauty fades until their faces are pale with hunger and they become ugly monsters with long jagged claws. Most harpies have terrible tempers, but they have have an easy enough time keeping their beautiful appearance. The harpy children now serve as messengers for those they affiliate themselves with. Their sticky fingers and lovely appearances make them conman and thieves. Besides tormenting innocent people, Harpies cause wind storms and legends blame them for rough seas and the bad weather that comes with it.

DEATH: There is only one way to kill a fairie and it is to rip its wings off its back and stab it in their heart. This may be difficult because a faerie is rarely in its true form.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Fairies can only be made by two faeries that engage in coitus. Another species cannot become a fairie.
THE ABILITIES: Fairies have the ability to hover over small distances. They are also incredibly light-footed allowing them to almost walk invisibly through areas of town. They have an aura around them which brings happiness to people in their company, thus they make friends quickly and are almost addictive like a drug. Their blood is very potent and humans can quickly become addicted to the substance if drunk. Their blood will make any human elated, stronger and a better, quicker thinker (however the crash period is bad). This is the faeries most trusted secret although with the hellspawn in town, this could quickly change. The fairies also have minor healing abilities and can specialize in the control of one element (fire, water, wind, earth). In order to operate at its full capability, they must feed on human aura’s/emotions.
DESCRIPTION: The fairies are very peaceful creatures which have made their home in and around the city of Sepulchre. Although some are crude and enjoy wrecking havoc, many of them are friendly. Their numbers are relatively small and they are very naive. Fairies have striven to protect the humans for centuries now, long after the complete destruction of their acolytes. Some fairies are typically into violence, killing and lustful/corrupt acts. Some do not bode well with humans and often enjoy leading them into elaborate traps, earning them the nickname of the pranksters. The fairies are still very much in love with their old followers. They do not hold a grudge over their fall from power and have embraced their lesser role in the new world, under the helpful guidance of the angels. Fairies in their natural form have a slightly green hue to their bodies and bold, striking blue wings. When they transform into their human selves, they look like an average human except their hair is always a striking eyes which flashes a bright blue in the right sunlight. Their wings curl back onto the bodies when in human form and appear almost like a tattoo. Their wings are nowhere as good as the angels and they can only hover a little way off of the forest floor. The fairies also have an intense love of nature. The city is often very overwhelming to faerie but many of this kind have attempted to make a transition into the modernized environment.


valkyries

DEATH: Valkyries are known to be immortal, but there are ways to end their lives. It may not be easy feat, but it is possible. One way to kill them would be to tear off their wings. Another way would be to simply stab a blade through their heart or by tearing their heart out.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Valkyries have been around for eons, so their exact origin is unknown. It is rumored that some of them were brave warriors that had fallen in battle and were made into valkyries. But this case is rarely ever heard of. In other cases, most valkyries are purebreds.
THE ABILITIES: Like many immortal beings, valkyries are blessed with extended set of abilities. They're stronger and faster than the average human. Due to their physiology, they are able to ward off diseases and heal quickly like angels and demons. Each and every valkyrie has a designated winged-horse that they are bonded to. Like them, the horse is immortal. But once a valkyrie is killed, their horse will also share the same fate. Valkyries also have the ability to perceive the approach of death in the form of a 'deathglow' that rims around one's aura. They aren't able to predict how the person is going to die, but they are able to tell how long their are going to live. Valkyries are able to shift into birds -- most of the time their chosen form is the swan. If one is able to capture and hold a valkyrie, it is rumored that they could extract a wish from them.
DESCRIPTION: Formerly known as Odin's messengers and are notorious for bringing fallen heroes to Vahalla, valkyries have been long forgotten due to lack of believers. Because of this, they have gone into hiding and have avoided the war for many years. Until now. Recently, the archangel, Ramiel, has recruited the them onto the Alliance. They are warriors and strategists, making them a fine assets to the team. Often depicted as armored women (but this doesn't mean that there are no men) with weapons in hands, mounted upon winged horses, valkyries are well known for their fighting nature. They are also known to be swan maidens and have the ability to turn into swans with the aid of feathered cloaks. Because of this, they are often hunted. Now, they work as messengers and soldiers for the Alliance. As they ride forth into battle, their armor emits a strange flickering light, creating the Northern Lights. While some are not happy to be dragged into the war, others are reluctant to finally emerge out of hiding and show the world how ferocious valkyries can be.

DEATH: Silver is werewolves’ death. Once it gets t into the bloodstream, a werewolf will die a slow and painful death. Although a quick stab to the heart with a silver weapon will immediately kill a werewolf.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Werewolves are born and made. If a human if impregnated by a werewolf, she will die during the birth process. When they mate with a demon, their offspring is a hellhound, not a demon - werewolf hybrid. Werewolves are able to change humans, and other human-like species, by biting them until their teeth reaches down to the bone. The venom from the bite will slowly spread throughout the body. The human's body will not change until the next full moon.
THE ABILITIES: Werewolves have enhanced senses, even in a human form. They have the senses of a canine. They are faster and stronger than the normal human being. They have an incredibly good nose. They are able to sniff out something or someone for several yards away. Also, they have extremely good hearing. They are able to here the footsteps of another from yards and yards away. This makes them incredible trackers. in their wolf form, they are only able to see in blue, green and yellow, like a real dog.
DESCRIPTION: Beings with a deadly beast sleeping inside of them. Many fear werewolves and they even fear themselves. They never chose to be this way, but they are what they are. Werewolves are either turned or the gene runs throughout the family. Every full moon, they painfully change into a monster that is set on killing. Anything that breaths or had a pulse, they want to kill it. Sometimes, some werewolves would wake up in the mornings, completely nude and covered in blood, but can't remember anything that happened the night before. If they are lucky, they remember flashbacks or brief moments of what happened but usually, they are left with nothing. Other werewolves would chain themselves so they would not be able to transform and kill. As werewolves age, they can learn to control their wolf form and remember what happens on a full moon, but it takes effort and time, only very few are able to achieve this. Just like wolves, most werewolves tend to be a pack with others like them. Most are wanderers who are not sided with anyone. Werewolves choose not to side with anyone because they don't want to be involved in the war. Still, the alliance and the hellspawns are trying to sway the werewolves over to their side because they would be a wonderful essential to the team. a powerful ally.


hellhounds

DEATH: It is difficult to kill a hellhound because of how quick and stealthy they are. Gold affects a hellhound the same way silver would affect a werewolf. One must get gold into its bloodstream to kill the hellhound, whether it is piercing it with a gold weapon, injecting gold into their blood stream or making the hellhound consume it.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: A hellhound can be made or born. If a werewolf becomes fully corrupted, it will become a hellhound. If a hellhound mates with a werewolf, the offspring would be a werewolf that would be vulnerable to being corrupted. If a hellhound engages in coitus with a demon, the offspring is a hellhound, not a hybrid. If a human female were to carry the spawn of a hellhound, she will die during the birth process. Any human like species can be turned into a hellhound. To turn a one into a hellhound, they have to bite into the flesh and make sure the venom travels through the veins. At the next full moon, they will change.
THE ABILITIES: Like werewolves, hellhounds also work a really great trackers or assassins because of how good their senses are and how strong they can be. They have werewolf-like senses, except, it is with a darker twist. They have incredible hearing and smelling like a dog. Hellhounds could sniff out the 'purity' or 'good' in people. It’s how they find their victims. They tend to be faster than werewolves, but not stronger. As time begins to progress, the hellhound will begin to develop night vision but still see in blue, green and yellow when they are in their 'hound' forms.
DESCRIPTION: A deadly twist between a demon and werewolf. Hellhounds are either werewolves who were corrupted by demons and the hellspawns or a dangerous hybrid formed by a werewolf and a demon. Like werewolves, they are forced to transform into a deadly beast whenever the full moon hangs high in the sky. The transformation is painful because the bones crack and the body shifts. When they have become the beast they are, there is only one thing out there; to kill. Unlike werewolves, they don't kill anything and everything. Instead they kill things that are good, pure or are affiliated with the alliance. These beings are the ideal killing machines for the hellspawn. Once they have the scent and are commanded to kill, they won't stop until they are done. Sometimes, hellhounds are able to control their transformations and could remember what happens on a full moon, but this takes time and practice. Like how a canine is loyal to its owner, hellhounds are loyal to the hellspawn. They report and serve the arch demons. Like demons, they try to corrupt as many people as they could. Most of them protect other demons from harm; think of them as a demon's right hand man. Hellhounds also work a really great trackers or assassins because of how good their senses are and how strong they can be.

DEATH: Shifters are almost like humans, except they have enhanced senses. They will die the same ways a human would. They are one of the most vulnerable species. If they’re lucky, their guardian will bring them back to life after death and be given a seconds chance.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Shifters is not made, but instead, born. Only one of their parents has to be a shifter for the child to carry the shifter gene. That is the only way for one to be a shifter.
THE ABILITIES: Shifters do not have an extensive list of abilities. They do have enhanced senses. (It depends on their animal though) They have able to shift into their chosen animal or 'guardian'. This process is rather painful though because their bones must break and shift. They are also able to telepathically communicate with others when they are in their other form. Shifters are also able to sense others. They inherit some abilities and habits from their 'guardian'. For example, if their chosen animal was a cat, they would have night vision. Some special shifters who have been good to their 'guardian' might be revived by it once they die. However, this is rare.
DESCRIPTION: Shifters are one of the few species that are similar to humans and are not immortal. They are similar to the human species but they have a slight edge. They are able to shift into one chosen animal or being . That other form is called their 'guardian'. They are able to shift anytime they wanted. This 'guardian' is the only reason why shifters are not humans. They are granted abilities or traits from their chosen animal. Even though they look like humans, they have one trait that sets them apart from humans. They have a certain marking on their body, like a birthmark that represents their 'guardian'. This mark will also appear on them when they shift.

DEATH: Witches and warlocks are one of the few species that are not immortal. They will die the same ways a human would die.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Witches and warlocks usually come from a family of witch/warlocks. There only way for one to become a witch and that is if they are a sorcerer or a sorceress and give into the dark arts.
THE ABILITIES: Witches are crafty people who are able to create different potions and make up spells off the top of their heads. A single witch is able to toy around with voodoo, brew potions and cast low powered spells. Once a couple of witches or warlocks are banded together their abilities are enhanced by a large amount. It is then they are able to cast more powerful spells and have contact with the dead. Their abilities take time to perfect and hone through trial and error. Casting spells are mentally and physically draining. Sometimes, if they cast too much spells in a period of time, they may pass out. They also risk a spell backfiring or failing. Even spells have a defect.
DESCRIPTION: The wicked witch of the west with green skin and a wart? Wrong. As if; that was all a really bad story. Witches and warlocks are people who use their magical abilities for evil or inflicting pain on others. They are craft, witty and notorious for their spells. They knows how to cast spells, brew potions, play with voodoo and have contact with the dead. They also make sacrifices to the demons. Witches usually have odd colored eyes. Most of the time, their eye color is a purple hue that usually ranges from violet to lavender. It depends on where they're family lineage came from. Some witches conceal their eye color by wearing contacts, but others choose to display it openly. Most witches come from a long line of powerful witches and warlocks and their offspring inherit the family's book of shadows, which contains several spells and family secrets. They have the same capabilities of a humans but they only have a slight edge. They have the lifespan of a human but are constantly looking for a way to become immortal.

DEATH: Even if they are able to cast spells, sorcerers/sorceress’ are not immortal. They are just like humans. They will die from diseases and fatal wounds.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: All sorcerers and sorceress' are born. It is in their blood to be able to cast spells and enchant items. There is no way for someone to 'become' a sorcerer or sorceress, although there were cases when there are those who are unaware of their abilities.
THE ABILITIES: They are able to cast spells that would protect, heal or benefit themselves or their comrades. It is forbidden for them to use their abilities to harm others. They could also enchant different objects, mostly stones or jewelry. They can do extensive healings; like healing a broken arm or gashed open wound. Although they heal and protect others, who is protecting them? They are not invincible beings. Casting spells are mentally, physically energy draining. They must take breaks and rest. if they cast too many spells in a short period of time, they may pass out or risk falling into a coma.
DESCRIPTION: Think of sorcerers and sorceresses as a 'white witch'. Sorcerers are people who have magical abilities and use to for good. Most of them are healers and protectors. They use their abilities to heal and benefit mankind. They know several different ways to cure different disease or heal wounds. They have many different teachings that were passed down from generation to generation. They are able to cast temporary shield for protection or enchant items. Most of them are very good medics. Sorcerers are an essential for the alliance. It is wrong for them to inflict pain or put anyone in harm. They were born and raised to use their abilities for good --- not evil. Sorcerers have unusual eye colors that show that they use their magic for good. Usually the eye color is a golden yellow with a green hue or hazel with hints of gold. Either way, their eyes contain a certain gold color. Sorcerers or sorceresses are the weakest supernatural species. They have to capabilities and senses of a human, but they are able to heal and cast protection shields. They are unable to defend themselves and rely on other to guard them. Sometimes, just sometimes, there is that small temptation to use their abilities for evil.

DEATH: There are actually a few species that are able to kill a nephilim. Those species are (arch)angels, (arch)demons, fallen (arch)angels and dragons. Although there are have been very few cases where a human or hunter had killed a nephilim. It has been rumored that driving an angel’s blade through the heart will kill this hybrid.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: Nephilim are born. They’re a mixture of a demon/angel/fallen and a human. Most of them carry hatred towards their parents.
THE ABILITIES: Nephilim abilities differ from each individual. They have all of the powers of the angel but cannot access them as readily, easily or to their full power. Like the angels can, principally, each nephilim can render themselves invisible or/and mask their signature from other supernaturals. Like the angels, nephilim are immortal (although they are considered lesser-immortals) and have slightly heightened strength, agility and eyesight (meaning that they can only see a little further and in slightly better clarity to normal humans). They do not have wings though. They are unable to fly. Just think of nephilims as humans with a slight edge and heightened abilities.
DESCRIPTION: Nephilim are the half-breed offspring of (what were once) angels and humans. Genetically they are highly unstable as angelic qualities do not mix will with humans. Unlike the angels, nephilim have no wings. They are physically stuck in a human form and have no way to change it. The nephilim reach their power peak at a similar time to angels - in puberty. Here is when they begin to know and learn about the power at their fingertips. Because of their instability and isolation from the hellspawn and the alliance, both sides want these guys dead. They hate those who have created them and as a result, any demon, fallen or archdemon who knowingly or otherwise creates a nephilim is responsible for its destruction. The nephilim are not good creatures, they are spiteful and vengeful and want to see both the alliance and hellspawn crumble. That being said, the nephilim do not like humans either. They are known amongst some of the independents as mercenaries, hired mostly by werewolves to rid their territory of any unwanted supernatural species. All in all, think of the nephilim as rogue, highly unstable assassins. Nephilim belong to no one, hunted and hated by most supernatural species, they are wanderers. There have been instances in the past where nephilim have helped the hellspawn, however, this is not officially documented. The nephilim carry a deep hatred for their fathers and mothers, most wishing them dead.

DEATH: Humans are normal. They are no immortal. They are the most vulnerable ones. They will die from diseases, fatal wounds and such.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: This is obvious. Or at least, it should be.
THE ABILITIES: They have no abilities, that is why most humans are viewed to be the weak and harmless race. They are the most vulnerable ones out there.
DESCRIPTION: Humans. Humans. Humans. Many of them are oblivious and do not know about the war that is raging between the hellspawns and the alliance. They live life like a normal person. Most of them don't even know about the supernaturals and only few remember the terrible, horrifying incident that happened several years ago. Those people live in terror and fear, just waiting for what is going to happen. There is only a handful of people who are exposed to the supernatural world. Just because they are weak and most are in the dark, that doesn't meant that they are going to play dead and let the world shatter into pieces. Humans are in the most danger and are prone to getting hurt.

the five horsemen
bringers of the apocalypse
DEATH: Though they are immortal and near indestructible, they can be killed. Their rings which hold their abilities must first be taken from them. Secondly either their own weapon, a weapon of another horsemen, or a blessed blade can kill them.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: There are and will only ever be five horsemen. No more can ever be created.
THE ABILITIES: Along with their own specific abilities each horseman as the ability to read human emotions. They have the ability to teleport and use telekinesis. They have the ability to go invisible to humans and maintain it for as long as they wish.
DESCRIPTION: Note: These are canon exclusive characters.

While one would classify the Horsemen as demons they were not created in the conventional way. They were not born as so much thought into existence. Then man first realized that at some point all life stops living Death was created. When rage struck a man so hard he lashed out at another War was created and so on and so forth till all five were brought into existence. Second only to angels they are some of the oldest beings on earth. As their name says they are the five beings that will bring about the end of the world. Whether that is now and here within Sepulchre , well that is to be seen.

In the beginning the Horsemen maintain a truly neutral stance in the world. They influenced but they had no direct hand in the events between good and evil. They acted as something akin to the unseen hand pulling the strings. However, over the years some of them have slowly been corrupted or taking favorites now and again swaying the balance. While some try to keep the balance other wish to tip the scales and hurry along the end of the world as they were truly created for.

Whether they have a soul or not is debatable. Most would argue that the rings which house their powers actually hold their souls but as being that were created and not born no one is quite certain. Seeing as each of them in the personification of their given ability their mannerisms even appearance reflect it to a degree. They work all for a single cause, but no brother is not without his own side agendas.

DEATH: Dragons can both be killed in their skin or in their scales, either by running the heart through with a blade or removing the heart entirely.
HOW THEY’RE MADE: All Dragons are born from the original ancient dragon bloodlines. They are either born human, or hatched (depending on element) but the death of the mother is almost entirely guaranteed unless she is not a dragon herself. Pureblood lines are incredibly rare, with younger dragons being half or less.
THE ABILITIES: All Dragons, depending on their element, receive a different set of abilities that are mastered at different ages and life stages. Older dragons will naturally be more powerful and practiced, and it is common practice for younger dragons that have access to mentors of their element to seek out proper lessons; this is, however, becoming increasingly more difficult with the diminishing population. All dragons once the proper life stage has been met will have the ability to change from their Scales to their Human Skin and vise versa at will. They are immortal (with the exception of Shadow Dragons) and are blessed with an immunity to poisons and diseases, however heal slower than average. In their scales Dragons have telepathic communication with those of their own race and have a high tolerance for attacks of their own element, however are not completely immune to them.
DESCRIPTION: Creatures of myths and legends, the dragon population has been greatly diminishing for a great many years, their race being highly hunted for many reasons ranging from them being a threat to their riches and often just for sport. Dragon’s old enough to remember the years when they were worshiped and reigned as kings are often disgusted by the state the earth has fallen into and wont align themselves with either the hellspawn or the alliance; however due to their ferocious and powerful dragon forms (referred to simply as their ‘scales’) and their strong grasp of elemental magics they are a powerful ally to have and often sought after. On a whole they are known for their power, their love for treasures (most have large collections of whatever they personally deem valuable) and their stubborn and distrusting, and sometimes egotistical personalities. Each dragon takes on one of ten elements at birth that is determined by their bloodline. Each element dictates the dragon’s appearance in their scales, their abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and often their personalities as well. Corruption within Dragons is rare, even with those who choose to work amongst the hellspawn, however in the case that true corruption occurs the dragon’s magics suffer for it; turning into dark, black versions of itself. This is the case with all elements except for Shadow, where the magic will instead turn blinding and white.

The shadow dragons are a rare breed; only four are allowed on the board at one time. This may be subject to change as the site's population grows. There are currently three shadow dragons. 3/4

Shadow dragons were the last to emerge of the original eight elements, although there is debate if it was because they were born last or because they were simply so silent the others did not notice their presence. Shadow dragons are sneaky, and sometimes called sinister in their ways due to their alignment with darkness. In their dragon form they have no wings, however are capable of flight regardless and are always of a pitch black colour. Instead of scales they have a rough skin that emits what appears to be wisps of smoke; giving these dragons the appearance of never being entirely solid. Genetically Shadow is the most recessive of all elements, which is believed to only account for part of the reason why they are so small in number. Shadow dragons age at a different rate than the other elements; gaining their scales (although amongst the shadow clans they refer to it as their ‘shadow’) at a much younger age; however it is believed that this accelerated rate aging makes the shadow dragons not quite immortal; that they age slower than mortals, but are unable to live forever. However there have been very few cases of actual shadow dragon remains, and those who follow the elements closely believe that shadow dragons do not die so much as they disappear into the shadows and get lost; fading away. ABILITIES: Shadow dragons have the ability to manipulate shadows into powerful illusions to confuse and defeat their enemies; some even able to pull the shadows from the ground and have them fight in their place. They can consume light, depending on the quantity, but are entirely powerless in situations where the light is in abundance. In their scales they can choose to make themselves entirely silent, and even in their skins are known for being very light on their feet. They have the ability to teleport within the shadows they manipulate, however it is draining and not strongly advised as dragons have been known to get lost in their own shadows and never find their way out again. In their dragon forms they literally drain the colour from their environment; turning even the most lush and bright of places into shades of black and white. They have near perfect night vision, however most will struggle to see clearly in bright settings, even while in their skins.
The wind dragons are a rare breed; only three are allowed on the board at one time. This may be subject to change as the site's population grows. There are currently zero wind dragons. 0/3

Wind dragons are very direct with their emotions, and tend to have the most focused of the personalities found commonly amongst their kin. They are quick, cunning, and often unforgiving. Wind Dragons are on the smaller scale of in size, ranging just larger than sand and blood dragons, however are no weaker for it. Their wings are feathered, and their scales often take on light blue or grey colours, however some have been known to take on other light hues of purple and green in rare occasions. They are the most agile in their flight, bending the wind to their needs, and will often take their combat to the skies for their obvious advantage in the air.

The wind element is incredibly recessive in terms of bloodlines, making wind dragons a rare site now that dragon numbers are limited. The gene, however, has been known to reappear from bloodlines that haven’t seen the wind Element in generations, and many clans mark the birth of a wind dragon in their families as cause for celebration. It was believed that the first wind dragon was born first of all the dragons, and that her wind was what breathed life into the rest of the elements; making the element a blessing whenever it occurs.

ABILITIES: The magic of Air dragons is precise and dangerous, able to manipulate the very air around them into dangerous weapons such as tornadoes, hurricanes micro-bursts and other devastating and often near-invisible forms of attack. They are said to be telekinetic, although this is more the careful manipulation of the air around objects that makes them move and can be rather draining on untrained dragons. While in their scales, wind dragons can make themselves invisible for short periods of time, and older and highly skilled wind dragons have once boasted about their ability to use this skill in their skins, although it is not commonly known due to the low population of their element.
The loudest and most unpredictable of elements, Storm dragons can take on a wide range of personality types and none should be taken lightly. In their scales they have a much larger wingspan in comparison to their body size and maintain the best flight abilities in terms of speed and duration, the true kings of the sky when the world was young, able to take to much higher altitudes without the complications other dragons face. Their scales generally take on a deep blue or black colour and audibly cackle with white or energy, making them unmistakable in their scales.

Genetically, Storm is a strong element and with the exception of Fire, Water, and Earth, will produce storm children. Storm is also the most likely of elements to skip generations and be pulled back up from grandparents and great grandparents, although no real explanation for this is given, the dragons used to believe it was because of the Storm’s natural unpredictability that causes this to happen. Their numbers are strong considering the population decrease of dragons, but in comparison to fire dragons are still considered a somewhat rare sight in the skies.

ABILITIES: Storm dragons have varying levels of control over the weather, but are best known for their lightning manipulation and thunderous sonic boom abilities that caused people to once believe that whenever thunderstorms occurred it was the Storm Dragons fighting their foes. The majority of their magical abilities revolve around being able to absorb, conduct, and create and generate electricity, often taking on a lightning like appearance when used. This electricity can also be used for short term paralysis to dragons skilled with it. In addition to their own magics, Storm dragons are able to enhance the elements around them as well, creating much more dangerous and powerful storms than either element could accomplish by themselves.
Water dragons have always been considered the most beautiful of the elements both in their skin and scales. They have no wings, and no flight; however are master swimmers with speeds that can actually surpass the flight of their winged kin. They take on a range of blue and green hues, and rarely have been found with gold, silver, and even white scales as well. Water dragons are one of the few elements that still have worshipers; popular amongst sailors for the favor of the tides. They have charming and enchanting personalities, however can change quickly into feisty foes with sharp tongues and dangerous magics.

Water is the second most dominant of the elements, and in most cases except where fire is found will overtake the element of the child. Their population numbers however are less; suspected either because of their lack of flight or because they’ve simply decided to live in the seas entirely. Whole clans of water dragons disappeared years ago and took to the seas, abandoning the skin of their human forms. It is possible that legends of mermaids and sirens are born of these dragons; who after so many years in their scales were unable to entirely take their human forms back in full.

ABILITIES: Water dragons are masters of their magics; their abilities coming to them the quickest of all the other elements. They have complete control over water itself; able to generate and manipulate it into different forms such as beams, balls, whips and bullets. Talented water dragons are also able to manipulate water into more complex forms of humans or dragons, and use this skill to confuse their foes. These dragons are also rulers of the seas and oceans, rivers and lakes; in much of control of the tide as the moon itself, and as such are stronger at night. Water is the only element that grants healing capabilities as well; able to manipulate water into a pure, healing substance that settles over wounds, forming a barrier while it heals. The strength and length this water is able to heal is entirely dependent on the age and practice of the dragon itself, and is useable on both themselves and on allies.
Fire dragons are the best known and most common of the elements. This is often credited to their fierce and loud personalities, but Fire Dragons were also known as the element that had the most kids, bred the best warriors, and enjoyed wrecking the most havoc. Dragons of this element are often the easiest to recognize due to their often majestic and brilliant colours; often their scales taking on red, gold, and black colours. Their wings are almost always feathered, and often appear as if they are on fire themselves. It is believed that Fire Dragons are where the legends of phoenixes were born.

In bloodlines, Fire will almost always dominate other elements in determining the child’s element. However, when mixed with another dominant element fire may rarely cause abnormalities. These abnormalities will cause the resulting dragon to take on aspects of both parents, becoming a weaker version of both and will never be able master all the abilities from either element. Abnormalities affect abilities, as well as appearance of their scales and their personalities. It should be noted that abnormalities have appeared more recently; and dragons that are much older (1.5-3k+) will never have these genetic mixes.

ABILITIES: A fire dragon’s magic is control over flame and smoke. This includes fire breath, fire rain, smoke screens and smoke mimicry for short periods of time. Fire Dragons are also able to teleport short distances within their eyesight; turning into puffs of smoke at one location and materializing in another. Upon death fire dragons burn up, leaving no remains but ash. However powerful fire dragons have actually been able to resurrect themselves from these ashes; its an incredibly draining process that requires a lot of healing time – many dragons have pulled it off only to die during their healing period anyway, however it has been successful and is believed to be one of the reasons why fire dragons remain the strongest in population numbers.

The blood dragons were once royalty amongst the dragon clans; either because of their extreme power or their eccentric, demanding personalities that wouldn’t have things any other way. They were known for their egos, their larger than life personas and above all their threatening magical abilities. They are wingless dragons with no flight capabilities, and always take on a shade of crimson in their scales. When dragonslayers became popular they were the heaviest hunted element, and suffered massive population loss both at the hands of humans and other dragon’s that felt threatened by their presence. They have all but fallen into myth now, and not one that is often believed either. However those who are old enough to remember them do not remember them fondly.

Genetically the blood element is recessive and will only ever beat out wind and shadow, however the blood gene itself has all but entirely died out. Blood dragons are one of the two elements that are actually hatched and not born and spend approximately the first 200 years of their life in their scales. It is only when they start to get a handle on their magics that they form their skin, and they are the only dragons whose skin is actual a magic and not so much a form. Blood dragon eggs do not hatch unless taken care of properly, and it is safe to assume that any blood dragons alive today were born of these eggs long after the parents died.

ABILITIES: Blood magic is the least understood magic of all the elements, and with next to none living blood dragons impossible to fully master. Blood dragons will not be able to find a mentor, and all magics must be learned through trial and error – an incredibly dangerous thing for both the dragon and those around it. They have the ability to manipulate blood whether it be in themselves, others, or free-flowing – giving them the ability to control and shape blood in any way they desire and the possibilities have always been endless and terrifying. Inducing heart attacks, boiling blood to the point of corpse explosion, inflicting mass amounts of pain and manipulation of ones body are all among their skill set. Skilled blood dragons were once called puppet masters, able to move anything with blood in whatever ways they wished, dead or alive, and it is believed that the root of many warlock spells started with the study of blood dragons and their magic.
Earth dragons are the largest of all the elements, their massive dragon forms taking on scales of variety of brown and green colour and are almost impossible to penetrate. Spikes run down their spines with an additional one on their tail that is used in battle. They have the largest wing span of all the elements, however often only take to the air for short distances. Although powerful and ruthless in combat, what makes the Earth dragons a true threat is their wisdom. They are incredibly calculated and will make moves that take the least amount of energy but are the most effective in any given situation. Generally quieter in their skins than they are in their scales, but it would be unwise to cross them in any form.

Earth as an element is strong in bloodlines, falling under only fire and water, but overtaking all others. Their numbers are doing well considering the odds against them, however many of the earth clans went into hiding during the beginning of the wars; taking up natural habitat in mountain caves. There are rumors that if you visit the right caverns you can still speak to the first of the earth dragons – that instead of truly dying he melded with the earth so that he could always watch over those of his element, and that this is perhaps where the earth dragons still pull their wisdom. Many will swear that the earth speaks to them – sending them news of their future.

ABILITIES: Earth dragons can manipulate a great many things, and use all of them as a weapon. Rock, lava, metal and other minerals are all at their disposal as well as the manipulation and growth of trees and plant life in which they often create mazes for their enemies to work their ways out of. Instead of flight they often prefer to borrow and navigate through the earth, and in their scales are able to turn themselves to stone in order to ward off attack. Avalanches, mudslides, and earthquakes are all of their doing and are able to single-handedly cause some of the most devastating magic on their foes. Well trained earth dragons have also been known to posses limited gravity manipulation, though draining, and some have even managed to grasp forms of healing magic with the use of certain plants; although not nearly as strong as their water counterparts.

Ice dragons have always been known to be the hardest to get a read on, being often classified as the type that won't give anything away. Their motives are often their own, and aren’t known of ever being too outwardly friendly or talkative. Ice dragons are the only element known to take on two distinct appearances in their scales, most taking on light blue and white hues with scales that appear to be made of ice themselves while a smaller amount of them actually take on skeletal forms, however neither bleed making them incredibly difficult to defeat while in their scales. They are second largest, often just slightly smaller than Earth dragons, and because of their immunities in their scales were known to be great warriors. In their skins they are the element that relate the closest with their scales, and can be identified by their cold hands and steady temperatures regardless of their environment.

In bloodlines Ice is fairly recessive, able to only beat out shadow and wind, and a fair amount of ice dragons die shortly after their birth – in legend because it was believed that their hearts were made of ice and were more fragile. As children they tend to get sick much easier than the other elements, however once they grow into their scales they become hardened and are unlikely to get sick very often thereafter. Once believed to be unlucky when born into families that were not primarily of Ice bloodlines, and often instead of celebration for the child birth the family would mourn under the belief that ice meant death – considering the warriors ice bred, this is perhaps accurate.

ABILITIES: Ice magic gives the dragons of this element the ability to reduce temperature in themselves, others, and their environment as well as the ability to manipulate and generate ice itself. They are capable of ice breath, as well as inflicting frostbite with their touch, however are most commonly known to use their ice manipulation to create binds for their foes, as well as solid, sharp weapons and bullets. For short periods of time are able to make use of ice mimicry, which renders them almost entirely immune to oncoming attack.

Sand dragons were not among the original eight elements, however became known as the ninth fairly early on. Believed to be an evolved form of Earth dragons after a clan moved south, however they hardly resemble them any longer. Sand dragons are actually the smallest in their scales, and possess no wings however are capable of flight. They take on a wide range of beige, yellow, and golden hues and considering where they were born are most often spotted amongst beaches or in other hot locations. They are often shallow and irritable in their personalities; known most for their greed, trickery, and unexplainable luck. However can also be fiercely loyal if you know the right way to their hearts. They have the largest collections of all the elements – known as the true hoarders of dragons, and are often found in professions where money is involved.

A recessive gene amongst the elements, however they have a much larger chance of showing up in bloodlines that have a history of producing earth and fire dragons. Sand dragons are one of the two elements that are actually hatched, and not born, and will gain their skins around 200 years of age. In legend they were the ones who would trick wanderers of the desert with their mirages, and have long since had trouble gaining the trust of older dragon clans who remember the stories.

ABILITIES: Sand dragons have a strongly mastered manipulation of sand that even earth dragons cant hope to touch, able to turn sand into large allies to fight for them, create sandstorms to blind and confuse their enemies, generate pits of quicksand as well as any number of other forms to be used as weapons. Most powerful of all their abilities, however, is their ability to induce slumber on weakened minds; perhaps laying the groundwork for the lore of the sandman. Like Earth dragons they can also burrow into the ground as a form of safe travel, however can also travel through sandstorms for short distances in a form of teleportation. Sand dragons have the ability to camouflage themselves into their surroundings and have also been rumored to be able to create gold – which may explain why they are amongst the richest of the dragons. Talented dragons of this element have even been known to pull information about people, events, and futures through abacomancy, although accuracy and results will vary on how practiced the dragon is.
The steel dragons are a rare breed; only three are allowed on the board at one time. This may be subject to change as the site's population grows. There are currently two steel dragon, and no more can be made at this time. 2/3

Steel dragons are the newest element, and are actually not recognized by a true element by many of remaining population of other elements. They are actually a mutation, brought about rarely from Earth and Fire dragons. They are incredibly and entirely unstable; having great difficulty controlling their scales and skin let alone their magic. They vary in size, and are often of grey or black colouring, however there haven’t been enough cases to really determine clear pattern. They have wings, are unable to fly very well at all – instead only able to manage hovers, at best.

Steel will never naturally show up as an element at birth. Instead it is the result of a earth and fire bloodline and believed to come about at a young age when the child becomes sick that they become mutated. They never truly heal from this mutation, steel dragons often always looking ghostly in their skins and weak in their scales, however the mutation seems to be evolving and the results seem to change from case to case. Often feared or pitted by the families that birth them, but entirely too young to get a real grasp on what is in store for them. No steel dragons would be over the age of 600.

ABILITIES: Steel dragons really struggle with their magic and often even after dedicated amounts of practice will have unexpected results. However reported cases have noted they are able to manipulate and create metallic materials and can shape, compress, and liquefy these metals into whatever they desire – armor, weapons, etc. In their scales they can unreliably liquefy themselves; turning into a metal state where they can then have safe transportation for short distances. They are impenetrable by bullets and swords in their scales, as well, however have been known to shift between their scales and skin while under high amounts of stress.

DEATH: The death of a phoenix is complicated, because they are known for their rebirths. However, a phoenix lives with the same ways to die as any normal human, their powers cannot stop this. At death, however, assuming that the ember still has rebirths to grant that person, they will turn to ash and will be reborn into their human form again as if nothing had happened.

The phoenix will be reincarnated with the same face, memories, and personality as the way they were they died in their first life, and are often stuck forever with a reminder of how that death occurred. (So if the first death was that they burned to death, they would likely still have burn marks on their skin each and every time they were reborn.)

However, when an ember no longer has sparks (or lives) to grant that phoenix in particular, their death will be normal, as well. They will not turn to ash, and they will have a death the same as any human. It is important to remember that the phoenix are, essentially, humans that have been blessed. Nothing more. It is also important to remember that no phoenix is aware of how many sparks they will be graced with. It can be anywhere from 2 to 100.

Each phoenix should remember, however, that because of their blessing and magic, that they can wear themselves thin. With each new life they are born with new Flame – a term used to describe their energy, or essence. If a Phoenix wears this flame down, they will die. Because of this age is something that is highly looked upon with respect amongst the Sol; phoenixes who have lived longer lives as to be reborn old and wrinkled thought to be the most powerful of them all. Anytime a phoenix uses their magic, this counts towards using their flame.

HOW THEY’RE MADE: Phoenix are born into human families chosen by the Orbis Solaris after the death of an ember in a house. The family is selected from those of which are currently carrying children with auras that the Orbis Solaris (And remaining  members of the house) can read. The child, if already showing signs of the values of the phoenix and the house in general, may then be selected to be born as a phoenix rather than a human to their family.

This is considered to be a great blessing for the family, who finds out at birth that their child is more than they expected. These children are born with sun-like birthmarks upon their skin that will eventually fade and disappear after the phoenix’s first death and rebirth. The Sol will then contact the family – once shortly after the birth to explain the situation, and then again when the child is deemed ready to learn more about what they are for their training.

Some families are graced with this gift more than once. The Cor household known in particular for its selection from bloodlines that have been blessed with embers before. However most of the time, even if from a family that has known of The Sol, the death of that member would have been so far buried in history that the child does not learn of this relation until their training. In rare cases, however, families will receive double blessings.

Because of the selection process for phoenixes, they cannot be born, and if a phoenix has a child with a human, the baby will still be human. Among other supernatural species, the phoenix parents acts as though human.

THE ABILITIES: The Abilities of the Phoenix will depend on which house they belong to, though all phoenixes are known to be keepers of the sun and time. Their power is drawn from the sun, and are definitely more powerful during the times when they can pull from its rays. On a whole, however, they do share a fair number of skills and abilities that make them fearsome foes, and definitely someone you wouldn’t want to piss off. Their abilities with time are based upon their house; see the houses for more info.

True to myth these rare beings can turn into birds made of magnificent fire at will. Capable of flight at astonishing speeds without tiring for a great distances. This can become draining on the phoenix, but becomes easier with age. The fire in which this form takes is also reliant on their house.

Like birds, they are born with a hollow skeleton that allows them to be lighter and more agile on their feet. Making them quick and faster than a great many of their enemies. They have a shared manipulation of fire, although the phoenix’s flames will reflect the colour of their house – the reds of Cor more saturated than a normal glow of fire, the gold of Mens making the fire sparkle, and the black of Anima acting like dancing shadow. Their tears hold regenerative powers, capable of healing diseases, wounds, and ailments of all sorts. Their bodies also have a minor, slow acting restorative power for their own wounds as well – but it is unlikely to save them from death.

DESCRIPTION: Note: The phoenixes are a rare and exclusive species; only a total of fifteen can be active on the board at one time, five in each respective house. Current ratios are in the description.

There are a great amount of people on earth who have heard of the mighty phoenix. How their wings blaze with great fires and upon death their ashes will bring about their life again a new. In some stories they are known as warriors, fierce in battle and great foes to the soldiers who were beside them. In others they were men and women of a great wisdom beyond their years, who could solve any of the problems brought to them with a grace and determination that put all others to shame. In some, they were spiritual beings, looked upon for their healing and soothing abilities that could calm and settle great rifts in their world.

The truth behind these beasts, however, is a mixture of all that people have known them to be. An order of an ancient origin that has kept the phoenixes a great secret for the most part, letting them remain a myth to all those except those families who have been blessed with the birth of one into their line. Some families have been given this gift more than others, of course, holding a strong faith in the order of Orbis Solaris, The World of the Sun, when translated. An order bound by keeping the values and secrets of their kind strong but not often believed in.

The order, more often known as The Sol, or The Sun, are the ones who find and contact the families new to the phoenix and explain what they have been given. They are a collection of ancient beings shrouded in far more mystery than even the phoenixes themselves, and hold all the answers to any of the questions the young phoenixes may have. At a young age they are taken to this order, spending anywhere from a month to a dozen years with them when they learn of their responsibly and their life, and when ready, they return to their families, expected to blend in as human and to continue to uphold the honor of the phoenix race.

The Sol is broken into three parts, and it is by these parts that all phoenixes are born. Each part – or house – allotted a set number of souls or embers as they are referred to by those who are knowledgeable about the species. Each ember represents a life, and when a phoenix has finally lived all of theirs – each ember granted a certain amount of reincarnations per birth, although this number is never known to the phoenix themselves and therefore impossible to tell when they will eventually, permanently die – that ember is passed on to someone knew, selected both by The Sol and the remaining phoenixes of that house.

The houses are known as the Cor, Mens, and Anima; although more commonly known nowadays as Heart, Mind, and Soul. Together they bring together the Aequilibrium, or Perfect Balance that the phoenix strive to promote in their lives. Each house designated by a colour; red, gold, and black respectively. Each house guardians of time; present, future, and past. Each house with their own personality traits and values that they hold most dear, despite how it is the strive to find peace with the parts of each house that, at least in early years, drove them.

Phoenixes come from all parts of the world, belong to all different religions and are backed by an endless number of ancestors before them. Embers themselves are infinite, but the sparks that each ember holds are different. Some phoenixes hold tight connections to the past lives of their ember, while others choose to ignore the lessons of the lives before them and learn the world anew.

Houses:

COR; The Heart - 3/5

Cor, otherwise known as the Heart of the phoenix, and of the Orbis Solaris, are those that will most often take on the role of a warrior first and foremost. They are decisive, strong willed men and women who are difficult to defeat, whether it is on the battlefield or in any other aspect of their life. They strive to be the best, and as part of the Cor they hold determination and victory very highly amongst their values. They often act before they think, sometimes getting them into trouble, but it is there ability to deal with situations as they come quickly and effectively, not worrying about the consequences until later, that keeps them alive. They are dynamic individuals and enjoy the company of others, often seeking out adventure and thrills, dragging those along with them and paying little mind to the dangers they could potentially be putting themselves, and others, in.

The Cor house are those that are blessed with a power over the present; the keepers of this state of time. With it, if they’re willing to sacrifice some of their Flame, of course, the Phoenix is able to focus and with varying degrees of accuracy tell what any one person is up to at the current time, their location, their feelings, and their thoughts. Many find this a useful skill in battles, and amongst all the phoenixes those of the Cor are those that are still most often found fighting battles, often with little concern as to their own safety or number of sparks left in their embers.

The Cor is the house most known for staying within previously blessed families, and they will more often select male children to carry on their values. There has, however, been female’s known to take on this household, and those that do are never forgotten.


MENS; The Mind - 2/5

Those that fall into the Mens are known for being the mind, or head of the phoenix and The Sol. They are great intellectual beings that will think their actions through, and if ever challenged, will find a way to outsmart and out logic their opponents to defeat them. They hold knowledge and decisiveness amongst their greatest values, and those who fall into his household are often found with great collections of books. They are great problem solvers, and observers, and are often annoyed by the world's company due to their inability to think things through as they do. Although sometimes seen as loners, those of Mens are incredible allies to keep. They are superiorly dependable, and should never be underestimated.

Those that represent The Mind are keepers of the future, and blessed with the ability to foresee it when they wish, able to focus on locations, individuals, or groups merely by being in their presence to see this future with varying degrees of accuracy based on the phoenix’s age. In battle they’ve been known to use this to see their victory before it happens, and to use this to their advantage.

This house is best known as a house that favors children of the feminine persuasion, and although will bless families that has been given the gift before, will never do so as long as the last ember is still remembered; they believe greatly in spreading their knowledge this way, and are very, very careful about the children they bless.


ANIMA; The Soul - 0/5

Anima, also known as the soul, is a house known for it’s compassion. They are those who are most careful, most loving, and most spiritual. They are helpful people, often looking for ways to grant peace and valuing that above all other things. In children they look for those of pure hearts to bless, those willing to sacrifice and to commit. They are not, however, to be taken as pushovers. When a Anima dedicates themselves to a cause one should know that they will rarely be swayed from it, and in battle they use a great sense of instinct to overtake their enemies, being able to read them in a way that often has people believing they are the ones who are the keepers of what will come over the Mens, who truly rule that realm. They are the house that is most traditional, known for keeping their ties and thoughts on the balance before all else.

They, however, are the keepers of the past. Able to focus on locations or people to sense the things that has happened to them before, what has shaped them, and the truths they seek to keep hidden. In battle it is this skill that gives them their great intuition, and paired with their general compassion are often able to put themselves into their enemies shoes, able to see through their eyes and predict outcomes that way.

The Anima house keeps a steady balance of men and women who are blessed, alternating between the two. Their opinions of blessed houses or not makes no difference, for they will always select the child that is best suited to keeping the balance. This house will also select children who seem open and willing to listening to their embers past lives, finding it important for the soul to remember all it can of its past mistakes and triumphs.
