unique physical traits | Eh, none really, I don't consider myself anything to brag about.
    other |I was a chubby little kid...no, seriously...totally was...I rolled everywhere...
I suppose I grew out of that little state of being. Though I can't say my way of dressing has changed much. I tend to grab and wear whatever fits my lanky build. Darker colors catch my eye quicker since they look less dirty from being outdoors and blend in with the crowd better. Though, I'm partial to light greens and blues, I've never been much of a fashion monger. My hair is pretty scruffy. Thick and really dark brown or black, I'm not really sure some days, I don't consider it anything remarkable. I've been told though, that my eyes are my best feature. Whatever that is supposed to mean.

    education level | self educated
    attended school(s) |none
    chosen major/minor |none
other |Liir seems to relate to animals much more easily than to people and he's made a study of both animals and Animals. Nothing formal, though that doesn't mean he wouldn't like to one day.

magic abilities | If Liir does have magical ability it is of the unremarkable sort. Unless one counts his rather unhealthy fascination with it. Being in the company of a witch since your youth, however is bound to do that to a person.

    personality |
Little Liir's never looked for the spot light. He's pretty well convinced that if the spot light did find him, it would burn out right after leaving him alone in the dark. Liir spends a lot of his time alone and while he's come to accept it, he's never embraced it like Elphaba did. Liir likes to feel close to people, to have a connection with those around him. And it didn't matter to Liir if they were animals, Animals, or people. He doesn't like being disconnected and when he feels like that, he gets edgy and rash-minded. He can't think clearly when he thinks he's going to be ostracized or left alone.

He learned quickly to give Elphaba a wide circle of space. Really it seemed like she preferred that monkey's company than to his own. Naturally, this made Liir a sullen and moody little boy. He's not quite as broodingly annoying these days, but that still crops up fairly often. He's a bright kid, always getting into messes he shouldn't for the sake of knowledge. Give him a puzzle and Liir wants to solve it. It could be a cube puzzle or the difficult problem of how to break someone out of a prison. Liir wants to find the answer for it.

Liir's sense of right and wrong might be a little skewed but he believes firmly in it. He trusts those that prove they can be, he can't tolerate oppression and, among other things, can't abide those that betray others. Those that go against what he personally believes, he holds a nasty grudge. He chalks that little trait to having spent time with Elphaba. Liir's also learned to keep his feelings bottled up. He doesn't like to let on when he's feeling sad or just wants a hug. It tends to unnerve some people that he's such a hard read. Though, Liir can't say he doesn't like it that way.

    history |
Much of Liir's life as a young boy was spent shadowing and trying to keep up with a woman of a very strange verdigris. Always tagging along behind this woman who wasn't his mother, Liir had come to assume she was his teacher of sorts. The kind of teacher he heard most children would set tacks on chairs for. Though Liir never did that. He'd pull the chair out and hold the door, but he rarely spoke or let on that he cared much for this woman that he spent nearly every moment of every day with. For the longest time, she would be the only person he saw. Liir was a bright boy from early on, even if no one knew it. He read whatever book his 'teacher' wasn't and spent his other time reading and copying maps he found.

Liir was never quite sure of his age when he and his 'teacher' arrived at the castle. Never celebrating a birthday kind of keeps that fact in the dark. But he looked to be around six or seven. While he tried to make friends with these new children, the boys were cruel, though Nor was less so and Liir had affection for her. While it lasted, Liir's time there was happy. As sad is it was, Liir was actually beginning to feel accepted somewhat. Liir had also found something of a father figure in one of the guards that is, until he kidnapped everyone but Liir and Nanny. That only served to send Liir in a greater state of distrust and disconnect, even when Elphaba returned.

Things only grew worse. While he didn't like to admit it, he had grown incredibly attached to his 'teacher of no affection', even if she did like that monkey more than him. Her death shook Liir to his very core and while he was a little infatuated with that Dorthy girl, he couldn't stay. Liir started wandering right after the "Witch's" death and has been for seven years. He passes through the Emerald City on occasion, to see Dorthy, but he keeps very much to himself...like his 'teacher' did.

    HP site - Rodolphus Lestrange

The plea came in sputtered tones as a man dropped to the floor in a curled up heap. On his knees and wrapped into a defensive ball the words the man managed to force out dotted the floor with his blood. He stayed there on the floor, curled as tightly as possible, his entire body shaking. Eyes snapped shut, he was hoping his request might be heard.

    "I won't tell! I'll stop it! I promise!"

He continued to plead and his words grew faster as he heard heavy bootfalls coming closer and closer to his battered frame. All of a sudden he felt a firm hand grip the back of his head by the hair.

"Now, Thomas, you know I can't trust that. Not from you," the voice purred just behind his ear. Low and growling like a large cat, the voice sent another shiver up through Thomas's spine. A light laugh issued from the man behind him as he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head and feeling himself get lifted from the floor. The movement was quick. Thomas's body flew through the air and crashed against a wall in the darkened shop. Putting a hand to his lips, Thomas noticed more blood. Looking up, he put his hand out in a desperate attempt. to stop the attacker.

"You make me so sad, Thomas. Not only do you insist in running your mouth to the papers, you have no spine in trying to defend yourself from the consequences. Very disappointing, love," The man purred again, almost sounding sympathetic. Thomas only just caught the crazed glinting smile before he lost his thoughts again. "Crucio," the voice hissed and Thomas's body contorted in pain.

Holding his wand on him, Rodolphus laughed again. His lithe figure stood over the man, watching him twist and turn with sublime joy. His hair was wild tonight, it matched the look in his eyes. It had been nearly a week since he had taken sleep and Rodolphus was little more than an animal at this point. His cloak had been lost nearly and hour ago, leaving him standing in his white shirt and black pants. A grey vest hung open on his frame and his fingers were twitching.

He flicked away his wand and moved over to Thomas, who was now on his back panting. A thin sheet of sweat mixed with the blood on his lips. Rodolphus took a knee to one side of his victim. He wasn't done with him, not by a long shot. "You didn't really think we wouldn't notice?" Rodolphus asked with a slightly puzzled look on his face. Raising his wand again, something just caught Rodolphus's eye and he lowered his wand. A grin spread across his face as he drew up a piece of broken pottery. A shard. He noticed Thomas's eyes widen some. Tracing it ever so carefully across his neck, Rodolphus was careful to not cut the skin. He traveled it down Thomas's chest, just beneath his rib cage. "Deep breath, love," Rodolphus said, his manic blue eyes flicking briefly up to the man. With a quick plunge, Rodolphus drove the shard deep into his 'toy's' side. The man howled and Rodolphus smiled even more delightedly. Waiting a moment, Rodolphus delivered a swift kick twice to the same side, the howls only growing louder.

Turning his back, Rodolphus walked back to a small table, running his bloodied hands up through his hair and pondering his next course of action. Then, like a cat, Rodolphus looked sharply up. He had broken through the back door of this abandoned shop with his prey and now he heard something out in the alley. He moved quickly, taken a step into the alley and looked around for some shadow in the dark. But Rodolphus saw nothing and went back inside.

"Now, love, where were we?" He asked the bloody heap on the floor.

Ah, lovely job! Thanks for being understanding about the face claim, btw. But yes, this looks lovely, and we shall certainly find a way to give confusing young Liir a new history in Oz. One thing, if I may, maybe add in under the physical other his preferred choice of wardrobe? A nice physical description. But otherwise, lovely! I'll go ahead and approve you. Have fun, and look forward to rping with you!

Accepted.

welcome to of witches && wizards! if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the staff.
