Sean pondrá su voz al personaje de Brian the Brain en la nueva película de animación Igor el estreno en USA esta previsto para el 24 de Octubre de 2008.

John Cusack and Sean Hayes have joined the voice cast of Exodus Film Group's CG-animated feature comedy, Igor for The Weinstein Co.

Cusack replaces Christian Slater on the project voicing the title character of Igor, a gifted scientist who is born with a hunch on his back and is forced to serve a cruel scientist named Dr. Glickenstein. The Hollywood Reporter says Hayes is playing Brian the Brain, a brain in a jar who is one of Igor's sidekicks and inventions.

The cast includes Jeremy Piven, Jay Leno, Jennifer Coolidge, Molly Shannon, Steve Buscemi and John Cleese. Chris McKenna wrote the screenplay for Igor; it's set for an October 24, 2008 release.

Remember Sissy Spacek's performance in Steve Martin's The Man with Two Brains? You couldn't see her, but that was her distinctive voice as Anne Uumellmahaye, the brain-in-a-jar with whom Martin's doctor became completely smitten.

Will & Grace's Sean Hayes will bring his own talking-brain magic to Igor, a new computer-animated comedy that stars John Cusack as the titular hunchback, a talented scientist who is forced to work as sidekick to the cruel Dr. Glickenstein.

Igor has his own sidekick, Hayes' Brian the Brain.

With a voice cast that also includes Jeremy Piven, Jay Leno, Jennifer Coolidge, Molly Shannon, Steve Buscemi, and John Cleese, Igor will no doubt be the toast of Halloween when the film hits theaters in October 2008.

Before that, though, Hayes co-stars with Jack Nicholson in The Bucket List.

There’s a lot of action in and around the Weinstein Co.’s CG-animated monster movie “Igor.” Eddie Izzard has replaced Jeremy Piven as the insane Schadenfreude, and producer Exodus Film Group has inked a deal for a series of comic books based on the film with IDW Publishing.

This one absolutely cannot miss. Chris McKenna, John Cleese and Steve Buscemi could sit around to talk about the various sizes of bolts available and it would be funny, entertaining and fresh. That’s not even taking into consideration Sean Hayes, Jay Lenno, Molly Shannon and now Eddie Izzard.

Production has just wrapped up, which means news will leak in slowly but steadily. Igor is slated for release October 24, 2008. Buscemi will voice Scamper, the cuddly widdle bun-bun above.

'Igor' eats up promo deals

The Weinstein Co. and Exodus Film Group have announced a nationwide promotional program with CKE Restaurants, which owns Carl's Jr. and Hardee's, to help market the October release of their CG-animated film "Igor."

More than 3,000 of the company restaurants throughout the U.S. will participate in the promotion, which will be part of CKE's Cool Kids Combos meal program and include four custom-designed "Igor" premiums, in-store displays and an online campaign with Carl's Jr. and Hardee's Cool Kids Web sites.

"Carl's Jr. and Hardee's feature great food for the whole family, yet they take a wonderfully irreverent approach to their advertising," Exodus CEO John Eraklis said. "They are the perfect promotional partner for 'Igor.' "

Weinstein and Exodus already have lined up several licensing partners for the film, including a master license for toys and collectibles with Corgi International, a publishing deal with Simon & Schuster and a comic book series with IDW Publishing.

Corgi will release a wide range of products, including action figures and play sets. Simon & Schuster plans nine "Igor" books, which will be published under its Simon Scribbles and Simon Spotlight imprints.

"Igor," an irreverent comedy about mad scientists and their evil inventions, features the voices of Steve Buscemi, John Cleese, Jennifer Coolidge, John Cusack, Arsenio Hall, Sean Hayes, Eddie Izzard, Jay Leno, Molly Shannon and Christian Slater.

The official trailer and new photo for the upcoming animated film “Igor” has been released, featuring voices by John Cusack, Steve Buscemi, John Cleese, Sean Hayes, Eddie Izzard, Jay Leno and Molly Shannon.

Cusack will voice the title character of Igor, a gifted scientist who is born with a hunch on his back and is forced to serve a cruel scientist named Dr. Glickenstein. Sean Hayes will play Brian the Brain, a brain in a jar who is one of Igor’s sidekicks and inventions.

The new film is directed by Anthony Leondis, (Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch). “Igor” is set for a September 19th release date.
