What You've Become is set in the year 2060. Forty-eight years ago, in 2012, the vampires choose to reveal themselves to humans in order to hunt whenever they saw fit. As a result, the shifter, protectors of humans, made the brash decision to also expose themselves to the world. As a result, the vampires and shifters went into an intense war which inevitably drew in the humans, who brought with them weapons of mass destruction. From the war rose new leadership-- vampire leadership-- the vampires convinced the humans that the shifters were the problem and out of love for the humans, the shifters surrendered when the humans joined forces with the vampires. Today, shifters are enslaved and forced to do hard labor and fight for the entertainment of the masses. Set in what was modern day Atlanta Georgia, Sidus, the new land, is a place of great differences, between the vampires who rule, the humans who are the middle class and the heavily oppressed shifters.
