entrance hall
The foyer of Springhill is perhaps its most magnificent feature. Two sets of double doors lead from the courtyard into a grand, double-vaulted ceilinged hall. Just off the foyer are the offices, assembly hall and library.

classrooms
A set of double doors lead from the foyer to the main classrooms. Signs on the walls indicate which department you're in. Lockers line the walls, but only the junior school actually bother using them.

Only members of staff are authorised to be in the staff wing. Students should only be there with the permission of staff.

school grounds
An extensive system of lawns and gardens make up the school grounds. With a large greenhouse, beautiful flower beds and pathway into the forest, the school looks magnificent at any time of year.

The Waring dormitories are decorated in blues and silvers. Only members of Waring House and senior members of staff have access to them.

canteen
The school canteen is always full of hustlebustle. Open from 7am till 20pm, there's always something tasty being served. And, if you keep in with the staff, you can often get that little extra helping of your favourite meal.

town hall
Springhill town sprang up in the years after the school was opened. its main source of business comes from the school, both from its students and visiting relatives and friends. The town hall is a central point, where many people arrange to meet.

waring street
Named for one of the founders of the school, Waring Street is where most of the town's shops and cafés are to be found.

Springhill Mall is little more than a few shops huddled around a small corridor. But it's a favourite haunt of pupils, with a coffee shop and post office.

the cable lift
One of the town's most popular features is the cable lift which goes up to the school. Designed to both amuse and provide access to the school even in bad snow, the lift runs almost 24hours a day.

springhill train station
While there are a few buses which run infrequently from the city to Springhill, the main form of transport to the town is the train. Special services have to be run in the last week of August to accommodate the hundreds of pupils making their way back to school.
