register in
all lowercase. if you are making a character with a not korean name, then register first last. if you are making a korean (or asian in general) character register family name call name.
age range: 16-60, 18+ for Seoul Connection.
our word minimum is 450 words but we won't be policing it unless it becomes a problem, just make sure you try to match your thread partner with amount of information. also no one liners, please and thanks.
try to keep the gender ratios even, so for at least every two girls you make, your next one has to be male.
be reasonable with play bys. choi minho is not going to pass for thirty and johnny depp will not pass for nineteen. also, with asian faces, don't blatantly make a korean character with a japanese play by. you may use ulzzangs but not myspace famous people or people who do not wish their photos to be used.
make sure no one else has the same name as your character, yes there are multiple kim kibums in the korean pop world, but it will be easier on the site if there aren't multiple characters with the same exact name.
the site is rated m for mature, but if your thread is mature, please warn readers who may happen along on it.
please don't be rude. we want to keep the drama in character and leave it there.
stay active! one thing i can not stress enough is stay active!
death and babies. yes, they happen. but please check with an admin before you kill off your character or make them pregnant. we don't want a heck of a lot of children running around, alright?
And now for the newest rules!
To create your second character, your first character’s account MUST have 30 or more posts, and they cannot come from the games forum. To ensure that these are posts in character, the games forum posts do not count toward your post count. For every character following that second, all your previous characters must have 50 or more posts on each of their accounts. As before, posts in the game forum do not count. You may have up to 10 characters total, if you would like an eleventh character after having made it to ten, you can set up a meeting with the admin team to work out the logistics.
There is also going to be a new system for matching on the site. This matching system will be that the administrators will be going around, reading posts and if your character is active, as in has plotted with at least two other characters in their shippers and has at least one thread that is active and ongoing, and only then an admin will send you a personal message with your match. Also, a post will go up in the ‘notifications’ section of Seoul Connection to announce that ‘So-and-so’ has been matched with ‘Bla-bla’. This will keep the matches coming and not allow for members to get bored.
Once you’ve been matched, your character must at least meet up with their match, an admin will keep an eye on the date or meeting and if it goes well, you won’t be sent another match unless you personal message the matchmaker account. If the date seems to not go well, or the characters simply want to be platonic, then the matchmaker will be on the lookout for new matches to make for those characters.
You will also notice that as a character that is not part of Seoul Connection, you can’t actually see Seoul Connection’s forums. However, if your character is so curious and eager to join the site, they may apply to join Seoul Connection. To do so, they must have an ‘invitation’ from another character that is a part of Seoul Connection. This invitation cannot come from a character of the same player and must come from someone they will know. Remember, everybody will not know everybody, this is Seoul, and Seoul is a very large city.
