"HIT BAND SUPERPOWER LINES KILLED IN BUS CRASH."It was the summer of 2004. Superpower Lines, Light of Day, and the Hoochie Mamas were just a handful of lucky bands participating in the Disenchantment Tour. Everyone was after a piece of the action. To say you played in Disenchantment held impressive bragging rights in the music world. It was one of the most noted tours of its time. No one had a clue that this year would be its downfall. Superpower Lines had been highly successful thus far in their career. So much, in fact, that they were one of the headlining bands. People were tripping over themselves to see them perform. On the evening of July twelfth, the band boarded their tour bus like all the others. Nothing was out of the ordinary. They were on their way to St. Louis. Everyone else made it across that overpass safely. Why on earth Superpower Lines couldn't do the same..."BANDS DISTRAUGHT, DISENCHANTMENT HALTED."The management behind Disenchantment was cast suddenly into utter turmoil. The remaining bands were in a state of shock, either unable or unwilling to accept what had happened. Something had malfunctioned somewhere in the bus's gears. That was what an investigation determined, anyway. They were supposed to turn. To turn left, not keep going straight. "It was like something out of a movie," was how an eyewitness described it, and it would be accurate. Picture a bus diving off the edge of an overpass down to a busy interstate. Just like that, one of Disenchantment's top sellers was gone. The management was stunned. How would this reflect back on them? Should they keep going? What if the other bands panicked? Then there was the issue of funding: how could they afford to continue a tour on this scale when they now had to back an intense investigation? Squabble after squabble ensued as the bands awaited their tour's fate."FRIENDS OF SUPERPOWER LINES TO REVIVE TOUR."The bands Light of Day and the Hoochie Mamas had been extremely close to the members of Superpower Lines. They knew better than anyone how much being a part of Disenchantment had meant to them. Hell, they even knew of the secret marriage between the singer and guitarist. In 2008, they contacted Sonic Boom Records, the original name behind Disenchantment, With the fifth anniversary of the demise of both Superpower Lines and their beloved tour looming within the next year, would it be such a bad thing to bring it back in their honor? To commemorate what a great band they were, and more than that, what great friends? The answer was no. The search was on for the next group of bands to be part of Disenchantment's reign of awesomeness once again. Calamity Jane, another band from Superpower Lines' past, was insistent that they join the effort. They were close friends too, after all. Three more bands, modern ones, were chosen."DISENCHANTMENT TOUR'S FINAL LINE-UP RELEASED." ARE YOU READY?
