'CAUSE EVERY TIME I SEE YOUR BUBBLY FACE...

Welcome, Mackenzie Darby! What a funky name! We just want to ask you a few questions.
"H-hey, you used my full name! Isn't that sorta a mouthful, what with... *pauses to count* three syllables? You can just call me Kenzie, my friend. Or Kenz, whatever, I could care less as long as it doesn't make me want to wring your neck. You know, I was named after my grandmother! She was in the military. Wonder if destiny's calling?"
When's that birthday of yours?
"April 6th, baby! Wouldn't have it any other way."
I see, I see. So tell me a little bit about yourself.
"Describe myself in a few sentences? This is gonna take a while... err... well, I'm a Senior Citizen - okay, not that old, but I swear I saw from freshmen looking at me like I was a Senior Citizen, and a scary one at that - at Williams Academy, and kinda want to be a freshman now. You know, all naive and what not! They're so cute, sometimes I just want to pinch their cheeks. Aanyway, umm... my parents are both lawyers, and apparently they want me to be one too - which is why they enrolled me in this private school. As if private schools are better than public, or something. Woulda been cool if we moved to NYC! I totally argued that it would be better, since there's Columbia, the Ivy League School. Though really I just want to go there for the night life. Because everything's better when it's dark!"
How about your family?
"Hmm, lessee. My dad's name is Daniel Darby, and my mom's name is Madeline Darby, nee Stone. They're both lawyers and all smart, and stuff, and it looks like I'm meant to follow in their footsteps. Not like I really care much about lawyers... though imagine how cool it would be to argue with people for a living! And get paid loads for it!"
So where's your hometown and where do you live now, just to make sure we didn't get our wires crossed on anything?
"I've lived in St. Thomas for forever and a day, though I would hope that it doesn't stay that way if I didn't looove the people here. C'mon, it's such a small town!"
So how do you enjoy that life of yours so far?
"I'm not gonna say I'm leading a drama-filled life that would make Lindsay Lohan's jaw drop and Hamlet's eyes to water, but, well, y'know... yeah. Aren't I fantastic at explaining things?! Yess, most definitely as you can see! Anyway, like every normal human, I obviously have some bitchy enemies who I swear will die at my hands one day and I'll be doing that funky evil laugh that's in all the good cartoons. But of course I've made friends too! Guys tend to be protective over me - I don't know, like playing the older brother or something? But well yeah, guess my life is pretty decent."
Tell us a bit about your childhood.
"*giggle-snort* I was like the most hyper little blonde ever... no lie. Yes even more so than now, can you believe it? Most can't. I grew up in Massachusetts, with super-busy parents. In all honesty, I felt really alone a lot of the time since they were so busy. I had the maid... and that was it. Ooh, and my puppy, Hot Chocolate! I call him Cocoa for short. I guess that's why I'm so outgoing: to have somebody to spend my time with. I hate being alone. I'd rather be eaten by an octopus."
Ah, that must've been rough. Do you have any goals for the future? Any fears?
"You know you're very nosy for somebody I don't even know. My goals? I, uh... ooh, fantastic, now I have to think. Well at least I have an excuse for that quiz - 'I'm sorry that my brain is like dead right now but it's not my fault! This interviewer basically sucked all my brain juice right out of me!' Think she'd accept that? But anyway, I guess I want to be a lawyer... I think. I'm not really sure. And fears? Why the hell should I tell you my fears, you might use them against me! I can't trust you with those!

...fine. Bugs, turning into nothing, having everybody hate me, being alone forever... the like, gah."
Tell me about your best memory and your worst one.
My best memory? Oh God, way back when, my mom let her hair down for once. It was simply weird. I think I was about nine, ten maybe? Some time in the Winter. I don't know what month. Don't you just adore my memory skills? Anywhoo, she actually spent some time with me. Yes, took two minutes out of her schedule to do more than look at me. Shocker, right? And... we had a snowball fight! *grin* It was intense, we both had a cold the next day. Too fun. Showed me that my mom really was my mom!

"And my worst memory? Ah... ahem. I had a kitten named Halloween when I was eleven. She was adorable, and her fur matched her name. But, uhh, youn see... you know how cats like to wander? Sorta like loners, but they always find their way back home anyway? Yeahh... Halloween liked to wander a whole damn lot. And she... er, well, never came back home. No... an evil BMW totally crushed her tiny little body...

"I really don't like to talk about it. How are you getting all this out of me, again? I seriously want to know your secret."
Any secrets?
"... okay, THAT you're not getting out of me. Even if you're a trained hypnotist. Especially since then they wouldn't be secrets."
Regrets?
"Regrets are mine. They're not meant to be shared, but fine. I regret not being with Halloween when he got ran over by that damned BMW. I shouldn't have let him wander so often... I don't think there's anything else, at the moment at least."
So what would you say about your personality?
"Again with describing stuff! Well, I'm generally pretty bubbly - I tend to grin and laugh and joke a lot and the like... Tend to draw attention to myself, really. But oh well, that just means not being alone. I'm outgoing to make friends, though I'm really quite feisty and temperamental. My fuse is extremely short, and my nerves are fragile as hell. Beware because I will kick your ass. Or one of my friends will do it for me before I get the chance."
Intriguing. What about some of your likes and dislikes?
"Partying. The nightlife. Drinking. I love it all. Though that third part isn't drinking to get drunk, no... but ahem, that's what usually happens. What can I say? It's fun. And adults wonder why kids get drunk... kinda obvious. I also loooove video games and kicking ass at it - especially boys' asses, they're far more entertaining to watch lose. A bit annoying when they bring up that they lost to a girl, but hysterical all the same!

"Aaaaand my dislikes. Stereotypes. Cliques - like hell I don't stray out of my own! People who annoy me... I really hope that's not a vast amount but right now I don't feel like counting. Gossip - keep some damn things to yourself, people, the world and his dog doesn't need to know!"
Neat! What do you do in your spare time?
"Party, play video games, dance when nobody's watching (unless I'm at a club or a party, drunk) aaand.... eat. Yes, eating counts as a hobby - I do it in my spare time!! Thank you, metabolism."
Sounds like a blast! Thanks so much for talking to us; we hope we get the pleasure again!
"Anytime! Even if you are nosy."
