 It was sad to see him go. Chris was a REALLY good doctor. He actually didn't leave because he felt he would have been "typecast", that was a rumor. No one know the real reason, but many think it was written that way, because they needed a pretty big actor to start the series. For budget reasons, Chris's doctor may have been planned for only one series, Tenant gets paid MUCH less. -------------------- T.A.R.D.I.S. -- Totally Awesome Ridiculous Descent Into Space.

He wasn't really a big actor before this show, though. Didn't he move up from BBC2?

Actually, I have seen Chris in a few movies before Dr Who, you can go to IMDB.com and check out his filmography, he has been in a lot of stuff suprisingly.
RTD refers to him as "the best actor in the land" in one of the Tardisodes, I think the Chrsitmnas one... Don't know if he's the "best in the land" but he has a much larger resume than Tenant. -------------------- T.A.R.D.I.S. -- Totally Awesome Ridiculous Descent Into Space.

I never saw an episode of Dr.Who until the SciFi channel started showing it...I've got to say, Chris is an awsome actor. I've started noticing him in about almost everything! Anyway, David Tennant as the new Doctor just doesn't seem to care as much about Rose, you know? I mean, Chris at least seem to have GREAT chemistry with Rose, but the new Doc dosen't show that same concern. My brother also thinks that when Chris says "Fanatsic!" you really get the joy the Doc feels for whatever is happening, it's so full of glee. You just don't get that with the the new one...Maybe he'll grow on me. kinda like fungus. Plus, he can go from goofy to menacing in 2 seconds (see episode 'The Parting of the Ways', facing down the Daleks), it's all in his eyes and tone of voice. Or maybe I just like 'em older...

Yes, Chris was a very good Doctor. i love dhim very much and always will, but i miss Baker's Doctor even more.
