Mystic Falls is just another small town in Virginia. A town rich in history stemming from as far back as the Civil War. Prominently featured in the town is the Founders Council, made up of the descendants of the Founding Families, they are a civic organization that celebrates the towns rich culture. By the light of day it's just another small town.

But when the dark of night descends, secrets come out. There is indeed a rich history to this town. One steeped in the supernatural. Founding families have their own secrets. Secrets of werewolf curses, vampires, witch hunts, and so much more. The problem with secrets, is they don't stay secret for long.

Just when they thought they knew all the secrets, when they thought it was over, new information comes to light. The ritual was completed. Klaus was unable to get to Jenna, and so used one of his own fledglings in the ritual. Jenna is alive, and miraculously so is Elena. It cost John Gilbert his life, and Klaus is so far unaware she has survived. They are all unaware that the ritual not only freed Klaus from the curse to keep him from his werewolf heritage, but brought back the catalyst for it all. Tatia. The first Petrova, the woman Klaus and Elijah both loved, and lost. Her blood started it all. Created the Originals, sealed the curse. Blood called her, and she may have answers that no one expected, and many don't want known. Stefan is slowly losing himself to the blood and to memories Klaus is slowly allowing him to regain. Separated, and still recovering from the truth and the ritual, it's more important now then ever that they all must
