"Despite the harshness, it is far more lovely." Adrienne loved her home, and in her eyes nothing else would ever compare, but Havelock never slipped into a winter wonderland such as this one.

Despite her desire to play in the snow, the warmth of the palace was welcome. She took a moment to glace around, marveling in the beauty and grace of it. It was much larger than the court she had grown up in, or even Eric's palace. And it was far more elaborate and ornate. She desired to see it all, but she feared that would take forever, and she desired to spend more time with the Prince than she desired to spend it exploring. However, she was a guest, and a lady, and had to act as such, even though every part of her desired to challenge the man now leading her to a snowball fight, but only after she had changed into breeches so she could move easier.

She was sure the Prince would be able to see who she really was, playful and flirtatious and devious, all in good time.

"Though, from what I have seen so far, your home and your homeland are very lovely. I thought I was a cultured woman, but in all my readings, I have never seen such beauty." The sincerity in her voice shocked even Adrienne. Usually every word she said was guarded, the truth or deception of the words never quite clear.

[/dohtml]
