As I request very little from you as far as personal favors go, I assure letters of this type shall be exceedingly rare. In fact the inquiry I am about to make is not for myself but for a dear friend. Duke Blackbourne has become one of my closest advisers since taking up the governorship here in Bahar. He has recently informed me of a request from his only daughter. She wishes to come to court.

Katherine is a charming girl and very beautiful as well. She in my opinion would be a lovely jewel to add to the court. Her father and I are in agreement that there is simply not enough to do in Bahar for a young woman her age. When I come for the engagement feast I would like to bring her and introduce her to the court and then perhaps find a place for her within our sisters ladies.

Of course all at your will.
[/dohtml]

Your Loyal Servant and Brother,
Stefan

King Eric VII - October 20, 2011 12:37 PM (GMT)

My dear brother,

It is a reasonable request and after careful deliberation and word from you, I believe that she will be a good asset to the court. At the engagement feast bring her along and show her around court. I expect a formal introduction and that she be placed in the guest chambers. The lady Blackbourne then may accompany the Lady Aurora Bastian to whom you are to be wed that she might be able to share a bit about Bahar from a woman's point of view. It is my opinion that Aurora know more about the land she is to preside over.

Upon my choosing of a husband for the Lady Blackbourne, it is then I will decide if Lady Blackbourne will remain as one of the ladies to your wife or if her post shall change. As always, I trust that the trip will be kind on you and I look forward to your return to court.

Faithfully your brother,

King Eric VII
