The world of Tearron is unbalanced, its countryside ravaged by massive elemental storms. The two human settlements, Briand--the industrial mega-city--and Aadita--a bohemian open air commune--are both convinced the other will attack at any moment. The neutral and crippled Magi float listlessly along the lakes and rivers, trying to regain their strength, history, and dignity. And the ancient Men, thought lost to the elements forever, have survived the millennia by nomadic isolation. Brought over from Earth to reset the balance are the Inspired, normal men and women who will unlock the true power within themselves and find a whole new path before them on Tearron.
