daughter. sister. waitress. traveler. mother. those are just a few words used to describe mel scott, but if your name isn't lane thomas you wouldn't be aware of the last one. it's been almost three weeks since melissa arrived back home in new york, having skipped town on her eighteenth birthday with nothing but a note for her family and friends. she's been successfully hiding out with her high school best friend and her two daughters and just got a job waitressing at a restaurant to bring in some cash of her own. three year old riley and annabelle are her life, but mel is afraid that she'll be judged. for this reason she's been going out of her way to avoid seeing her family and friends. fairly soon that will change and bam - drama.

if you knew melanie scott before she took off to see the world and have some adventure in her life you'd be shocked by the girl who's returned. mel grew up here in new york city, the only daughter in the well known scott family. she attended the best prep schools manhattan has to offer and was at the top of her class, set to attend columbia in the fall. she was a member of the student council, spent the majority of her free time studying, and was very open when it came to relationships.

friends. these will be few and far between for a while. either you were close with mel in high school and are pissed that she left without explanation or maybe you hate what she's become. if you do try to rekindle any relationships that were previously there it's going to be difficult because mel's built a wall. the love of her life hurt her and while it's been over three years now she's still very guarded. the people she builds friendships with first will likely be those she hasn't known previously and it won't be anything too deep too soon. she really is a sweetheart and once you do break the shell you'll have a loyal friend but until then patience is important for any friend of melissa's.

enemies. mel's sure to have these too. if you've got any reason to hate mel please let me know, because enemies are fun. ex-friends, jealous bitches, etc... i'm not very creative in this area so if you have an idea throw it my way and we'll talk.

lovers. haha. that's a funny concept. heartbroken and hung up over an ex she hasn't seen in three years mel's not going to have any serious relationships any time soon. if you'd like you can head over to the canon list and claim her soon to be lover, a stripper that works for daddy's club. that won't get too emotionally serious though and then she'll fall in love with lane thomas and live happily ever after.

I think that Cel could see a lot of her in Melissa. There were somewhat different, but they have the background that's similar and I get a feeling that Mel kinda bailed out on that and so did Cel so she could be sympathetic about it. not saying they'd be bff's, but I can see them having an understanding of sorts over time? and Cel maybe growing protective of Mel like she does with her own sister. up to you of course, just a thought. not sure what you think, but let me know, I'm game for any ideas ^^

cel & mel - their names rhyme. obviously they have to be friends. i'm not sure how they would have already met with the age difference but maybe they've run into each other recently?

lol they do rhyme! well I imagine since Mel works / kinda half-owns the club and Cel works there, it's a logical place to meet. Unless Mel doesn't bartend at the strip-club? *has short memory and should reread that bit of Mel's app* but they can start from recent and we can see how it goes, they don't have to go way back

growing up, i could see cliff having had been very over-protective of melissa, maybe she hated being treated like a little kid once she got older as he continued with his over-protectiveness, so when she ran away, cliff may have kind of felt as if it was his fault. since cliff isn't much of the emotional type, without the rest of his family members knowing, he paid the best private investigator he could pay to search for melissa the same year she left. so the private investigator pretty much couldn't find melissa and suggested she was no where in the city and could pretty much be anywhere. not really sure how clliff and melissa would cross paths, if you have an idea we can work with that. cliff is all about his money and the respect around the city, so he definitely can't have anyone finding out his sister has returned and is working as a waitress, so of course, he'll offer a spot in ownership of the club and i could see them having a much closer relationship, while cliff still managing to do a few things to get on her nerves. that's pretty much all i got, so add/edit/delete!
