Katia could still feel the dull ache of the brand, but it bothered her less and less these days. Her mind troubled her less and less as well. She was dressed in workout clothes, running on a treadmill at the gym, her mind gone, her body shining with sweat. She couldn't have said how long she'd been running. She was fairly fit, if not anything impressive, but she wasn't more than a little winded. She'd been at it, maybe half an hour.
She felt the strange tickle in her mind she was beginning to associate with the enemy. Unable to dislodge it by blinking or shaking her head, she finally hopped off of the treadmill, one foot at a time. She cut the thing off, and stepped down, feeling the twitching of her muscles that meant she'd had a good workout. Grabbing the town from the rack, she mopped sweat from the back of her neck, and studied the surrounding folks.
No one stood out... yet. But if it was an activated star seed, it might be more cautious. If it wasn't activated, it might stumble into her trap. She was the spider, they were the fly.
She expanded the mental powers that Metallia had activated within her, taking energy readings from everyone near her.
"Here kitty kitty kitty..." she murmured.

Katia giggled a dark little giggle to herself when she realized who it was that she'd sensed. An old ally. She remembered Nephrite fondly. They'd been the reckless, impulsive duo of the four generals. Kunzite had lamented of ever making a proper team out of them. In her, he'd succeeded. In Nephrite... well... Jadeite suspected that no one could make Nephrite do anything he didn't wish to do.
He walked past her, as if he didn't even see her, but she heard his words, and knew them for what they were. Long time no see? She supposed it had been. It had been millennia. She smirked to herself, stood and toweled herself off. Part of her wished she were better dressed for this reunion, but she doubted that he would notice. Nephrite had only ever had eyes for one woman: Princess Solaria of the Sun. If he'd thought his infatuation was hidden, he'd been mistaken. She'd known. She just hadn't known how to use that bit of information. And then the war had happened, and really, it had been a moot point then.
She followed him after a moment towards the lockers. She was quite good at her little disinterested act, and she paused just a few paces beyond him, casting him a knowing little smile. He'd recognize that look for what it was.
"Nephrite... I didn't expect to find you here... but I should have, I suppose." she purred. "You always were a little unpredictable." Unhinged, more like it. He had a darker aspect to him that would have frightened her if she were a wiser person. Being who she was, it intrigued her. "How have you been, my dear?" And more importantly, how had he been awakened... and did he, too, serve Metallia in this life as they had served Endymion in the last?

Nephrite knew the moment he'd said something that Jadeite was indeed awakened. Oh, thank the heavens. He was getting a bit lonely and this might come to be fairly... entertaining. He might have someone who he had come close to calling a friend. He didn't have true friends where he trusted them with everything, never really had, but Jadeite had been one of the closest things he did have to a friend. He just hoped that she was at least half the person she had been, since they were technically reborn and she could now be a true girl...
He walked into the locker room and knew she was following him... Of course, it could also be one of the two other people that had been exercising beside her but he sincerely doubted that they would follow him. Both had been concentrated and hadn't looked like they were stopped. He also hadn't heard their machine shut off and the footsteps were too light for men. This was a female, a trained female, following him.
"I like exercising, Jad. I always have. I have been looking for one of you though... I wasn't sure how you would turn out this time around. I was hoping for the same bad ass pain in my neck girl from before." He laughed a bit, his laugh soft and hardly even a real laugh. It was more like one chuckle. He grabbed his black bag out of his locker and put it on one of the benches. Sitting on it, he offered the other half to Jadeite to sit on. They had a lot of catching up to do.
