Gabe really wasn't sure what he was doing in a park. He wasn't the nature type. He didn't like gardens very much, they were too high maintenance. Then you had to put your hands in the dirt and you n ever knew what that dirt had been. sometimes it was shit. Did you really want to stick your hands in shit? They were insane. Though, who really cared about his opinion? He was the guard for the jails cells... the only one lower than him was a janitor.
If you really wanted to know why he was in the park, he couldn't answer you. It had been something as small of a whim on his day off when he had nothing to do. He looked at the fountain with a bored look, tossing in a penny and just wishing that something interesting would happen. Like the idiot he was... he waited a few moments. Nothing happened. He sighed and turned on his heel. He hadn't expected something would really happen but nothing could stop him from trying.
Sitting on a bench, he stared up at the sky. It was a nice and sunny day. It mocked him. It was a nice day... a chilly day but it was still fairly nice. Perhaps he was just being morose... that could be it. He should have gotten more sleep last night than staying up all night watching Deadly Attractions and Myth Busters. He closed his eyes for a moment and grew very tense. The casual shaking was taking far too long, a shaking he'd grown too accustomed to after living his entire life here, and it was growing. His hand tightened on the bench and he looked around curiously.
Nothing unusual seemed to be happened at the moment, but perhaps he should has specified his wish a little better... He didn't want the world to rip apart or anything. The shaking slowly and continuously began to increase. Many of those around him, joggers and some pet owners, were starting to really grow concerned. Okay, so it wasn't staying up till four watching Deadly Attractions getting to his mind. He was standing up when he saw a monster, and really there was no other word for it. It was a true monster, literally. A fiery brimstone creature who towers over some of the trees and uprooted one. It looked pissed. It was a silly notion in his panic, but his hand reached for something to his side that just wasn't there... He took a few steps back and stumbled back into someone. "Pardon," he said, not taking his eyes off the monster just in case it took off in his direction.
Layla Alshaibi - January 25, 2012 03:31 AM (GMT)
Layla often had lunch in Faurmont. She sometimes would sit with her boss and her husband while other times she would just spend some quality time with her iPhone and a book. Layla enjoyed being out of the office. She spent so much of her time there that a slight reprieve was always welcomed. She enjoyed being in the office, she worked with people she considered friends, and the work itself made her feel confident and useful. Despite this, the same four walls could, eventually, look a bit drab.
Today, though, it was the kind of cold that made her grumpy. Layla had her hands buried deep into the pockets of her well tailored trenchcoat. She squinted against the winter glare and scanned the horizon for food trucks. Despite her life, she didn't always feel Arabic. When she was in college, it seemed like to be Arab you had to listen to Arabic radio constantly, befriend and date other Arabs, and subsist solely on neoarabic communities. She had come to the United States to be an American. She would never disavow or hide the Arab hyphen portion of her American, but she didn't need to live in an Iraqi Philly.
She looked for the little truck that sold turkey bacon. She was craving one of their BLTs. Not only where they delicious, but the thought of those "real" Arabs seeing this nice Muslim girl eating bacon always made her laugh. She had been introduced to the deli by a girlfriend from the mosque she frequented.
Layla grunted a curse when her heel broke beneath her as the earth shook. She expected to move along in her search for lunch, but her stomach lurched and her porcelaine travel mug broke at her feet. She whipped her head around looking for someting. Free set her veins on fire. She looked for a pair of towers that had been gone for over a decade.
What she saw was something completely different.
The monster wasn't even looking at her, but it taunted her with its presence. It infuriated her. It was that rage that crystalized her transformation. It was always that same coldness that ushered her back to her roots, back to the frozen lunar landscape.
"Move, you idiot!" She yelled at the young man who was staring down the monster. She sprinted towards what she saw as imminent disaster.
In her battle garb, Layla's heel was not broken.
Sebastian Ames - January 25, 2012 09:09 AM (GMT)
Sebastian was a tiny bit frustrated at the moment and it had all to do with one thing, there were deaths that were about to happen that were literally unnecessary and as his duty as Prince of Saturn, he was going to have to show himself. It didn’t mean he was going to do anything that constituted allying himself with either side… He knew the Lunar and Solar Kingdoms would start warring again and he would reap every last one of them so they could go wherever their faiths led them. Quite honestly Sebastian didn’t want their ghosts haunting Earth.
Sebastian had not even bothered to change his clothes, he was wearing the rumpled suit. He however was carrying a scythe over his shoulder though. His job was the dead but he had full intention of attacking whatever thought it was going to get away with massacring the city. Sebastian knew that death bred only more death and he didn’t want to deal with more death. Why can’t people just die of old age? Is that too much to ask? Obviously it was since he was about to go into battle with possibly no back up. Sebastian let out a sigh and noticed something odd.
“What is Nephrite of all people doing here?” Sebastian muttered under his breath as he approached the man only to see Sailor Moon appear. He wasn’t sure if he liked her or not, whether she was a Glory hound or no… She’d be a disinherited glory hound from what Sebastian had heard. “My friend, you might want to get out of the way!” Sebastian called to Nephrite as he gazed at the monster. He could use an all seeing eye right about now. He saw no weaknesses yet but there was always potential
DESTINY! - January 25, 2012 02:58 PM (GMT)
The beast sensed the spike of energy that identified first Sailor Moon, and then the Saturn Prince. It hadn't shown enough intelligence yet to be particularly dangerous, but it did sense that both of them had tried to get one individual out of the way. The towering beast smashed another large tree out of the way, nearly falling on a group of school children. Then it roared, that horrible bone shaking sound, and lunged with surprising speed for the man who seemed frozen, rapt.
The man who smelled like the Earth, and who would be a delicious appetizer. The creature's round, nearly featureless face split open to reveal four lines of jagged, razor sharp teeth. A ridiculously long, forked tongue struck outward, aiming for the Earth man. Tasty!

Gabriel frowned at girl who ran straight into the danger. She was a cute girl... no think straight. Scary monster that was now trying to attack the school students. Even he thought that was wrong. They were elementary students, had hardly done anything wrong yet. They were far too impressionable to go around just chomping on. He took a few more steps back and eyed the monster carefully. it was staring at him. He knew it.
He did not want to be seen as a tasty snack. Even before he could stop himself, his mouth was curling back in a snarl. Of course, it also didn't help when a man from behind informed it that it would wise to move away. He looked back and raised an eyebrow. "Is this your pet?" Who else would advice someone to run away while they just stood there watching a girl fight a scary looking monster. Perhaps he was just... old fashioned but he almost wanted to help the girl. She was trying to protect those children.
His hand once again reaching for an unseen item. perhaps he should think of getting a knife... or something like that. Considering the weird rumors going around, perhaps some sort of apocalypse was going on. The world was going to end. This could be entertaining. Damn, he wanted to do something other than standing here though. Taking a few more steps back, he looked around. What the hell could he use in a park to fight a giant monster the size of about two stories? He noticed the monster staring at him again, it's mouth opening and...was it drooling? Oh shit, this thing wouldn't happen to be a vegetarian would it? Considering how it looked, it was a carnivore. He felt his heart begin to pound faster and increasingly faster, and he started to retreat backwards... He wouldn't be able to run from this thing if it pursued and he wasn't going to fool himself into thinking he could run faster even if he was pushed by adrenaline. He would have to outsmart it if he had any chance, and he wasn't sure how intelligent this thing was... or if he could use the two other people who weren't running away as bait or a distraction to do so.
Sebastian Ames - January 26, 2012 10:21 PM (GMT)
Sebastian looked up to study the beast. There was something to be said about it, it reminded him of the cartoon beasts from the animes he watched... What were they called? Ah, Hollow, except this beast didn't have a gaping hole in his chest. Sebastian intended to change that! He decided to summon his armor, it would be better for him, especially if he ended up getting thrown around like a rag doll! He transformed and it looked like darkness itself draped over him before he walked revealing the light armor that looked rather heavy. It was then he witnessed what was going on.
The Saturn Royal was a tiny bit frustrusted at the sight of the monster. The children were alright and everyone was running fro the scene leaving himself, Sailor Moon, Nephrite, and the monster. Quite honestly, he was tempted to awaken Nephrite's star seed. However, not everyone was prepared to just be a soldier again. "Not hardly," Sebastian remarked. "Be time consuming to explain it to you," Sebastian commented as he could detect no one left in the park but them now. It was good for them he decided. "You should make a run for it my good man," Sebastian told him. "Unless you intend to fight it?" Sebastian asked.
However, when it began focusing on the General of Earth, Sebastian decided one better. "Think it's time for you to wake up Lord Nephrite," He said and slapped Nephirite in the forehead hard which cause a light to appear there and a symbol, Nephrite's symbol.
Gabriel Parks - January 30, 2012 07:29 AM (GMT)
Nephrite had almost retorted that yes he did indeed intend to fight it when the man changed his mind. He had his pride to consider in this matter, and running like a pussy was not in his plans. He was stubborn as hell and got himself into some bad situations because of it. He also wasn't stupid though...Which is why he wouldn't outright attack the creature. He looked over at the person when he suddenly announced that he should wake up... Was this all a dream? Fucked up dream...
A blast of memories hit in all in one moment, barely a second, as he felt a hand on his forehead. His past life... his devotion to his queen... his death... He remembered it all. His King's disappointment to the entire PLANET. His hand went to his sword... which was now at his side. He looked down at his outfit. It was how he remembered. Boring as shit. He'd have to change that now that there were some more fun inventions around. Before, no seamstress would mess with the generals uniform. He wanted something different. Perhaps leather would fit him better...
He looked over at the other gentleman and he realized who exactly he was. He had never really met the man in the past life... but he knew of him and what he looked like. It was his job to know. "Hello, Your Highness." He did a very short bow, and then turned his attention to the monster. "Seems we have some sport today... wonder where this little beasty came from." He let his shadow split from himself... and go try to help... Sailor Moon? He believed that was who she looked like. It wasn't his full effort though, since it was only part of him. The shadow form wasn't supposed to be a full on attack, it was to test possibly weaknesses and scout out of enemy. He didn't just rush into things like a fool.
DESTINY! - February 1, 2012 04:48 PM (GMT)
The beast seemed to sense the spike in energy and struck with its most potent tongue lashing. But then the skirted girl, she did something that annoyed him. He turned, trying to squash her with one giant paw. Suddenly, the beast inhaled and screamed, fire and acidic spittle flying every which way, covering most of the ground around them.
The beast now had a choice. Only three courses to this meal, now that the rest had run scared. Three. The girl was in its face, but now the man who smelled liked Earth had a sword. He wasn't the one the best had hoped for, either.
The beast leaped with surprising speed towards the only one of the three who had as of yet not shown signs of aggression.
