this should hopefully be your first stop. inside you'll find all of the basic information like the rules, a brief plot explanation, member group descriptions, and other necessary reads. please be sure to take a look at everything in here before starting your application because we do some things a little differently here and it will be obvious if you don't. no worries it's all fairly short we aren't tyrants or anything. one more thing: welcome to only happy when it rains!

this is where you come to join the ranks around here! inside is our application but don't be scared it's not some monster that will take hours to complete. please be careful to read the forum before you post to be sure that you've got the appropriate one. also, be sure to follow all posting rules for the quickest possible turn around rate. we ask that you don't badger staff in the cbox to check out your applications. i know that it sucks to wait but we all lead busy lives and i promise we'll get to it as quick as we can. after all, we love and adore new members.

in this area you will find useful information to you as a member including the various claims for your character (including the face claim), a list of who plays who, a topic covering what to do if you want to delete a character, and a helpful archive request for completed topics. it's entirely for you guys and expect more to be added as things grow.

whore your character out baby! no really we absolutely mean that drama is the spice of life around places like this so make it happen. i don't know if i need to explain this area further with this area being fairly self explanatory for most of you. so what are you waiting for? throw up a shipping page and get yourself out there! remember to respond to others as well because really what's the fun in waiting around? exactly.

i know that a lot of people like to discuss plots over messengers but sometimes that's not plausible particularly with a large group of people. so once you get something thrown together you can use this forum to hammer out the details regardless of what it is. when we have boardwide events this forum will be used to plan that out as well and figure out a group situation for it.

for when you find yourself in need of a certain character. whether it be a family member or an ex lover. this board is GUEST FRIENDLY for those who want to join but would rather pick up a character someone needs.

for those who tend to take on a little more then they can chew, thread trackers are necessary. put up a single thread and make multiple posts in that thread for however many characters you have. definitely not mandatory but a useful tool for those in need of a little organization in their lives.

this has long been a popular form of communication over the internet so this forum should need very little explanation. there is no need to sign up for usernames simply make a thread and start threading be it a private chat or simply throwing yourself out there for random people.

unless for some reason you are attempting to live off the grid you would be insane not to have a mobile phone. as a matter of fact whether it's a blackberry or a regular old nokia held together with duct tape there's likely one in your hand right now. since the generic phone threads are sort of out of style at the moment this forum is for conversations or texting working a lot like instant messages. the difference is gestures and emotion are easier to display here.

with this forum the sky is the limit. it's just a little place to keep all the random pieces of information about your character be it a list of relationships or a wardrobe or journal entries. honestly, do whatever you want with it. there is no need to sign up for anything because we won't be handing out individual forums. simply post a master thread and treat it in much the same way. once a month we will go through here and archive any that are not being used.

the ever popular in character cbox. all you have to do is click the link and a new window will open for you. make sure to add an avatar before you start by placing the url of the picture in the email/url field. no need to worry about the size because it will scale down automatically.

when real life is in your way or a plot is moving a little too slow it can be helpful to have a quick little thread to fan the flames. this area isn't for regular threads but short 'rapid fire' posts. remember this shouldn't be your main area of play. it's just here to keep your muse flowing in times of need.

random conversation between members takes center stage here. there are no real guidlines for this forum post whatever you need from a rant about the direction your day has gone to a request for graphics. just be advised that while we're all willing to help cheer you up let's avoid roleplay negativity. all of us have been the receiving end of "mean girl or guy" types and none of us want that here. keep the golden rule in mind.

be it because your muse has flown the coop or a family vacation most of us are going to need to take a leave of absence at one point or another. just make sure before you disappear that you put up a notice so people don't think you've merely ditched out on their plots. make sure you include the date you expect to be back so we know you're not ditching and everyone can shower you with love.

like it or not this is the most popular area on any board. make sure to remember that we do use invision coding on this board before you post a link and put it in the right forum. if you've meant linking back and posted in first we won't check before posting. so avoid the confusion. dohtml is not enabled but images are.
