The island is temperate and somewhat rocky. It is mostly level in terms of terrain. The woods are deciduous broadleaf. The island is about four miles in any direction (estimate it takes about two hours or so to walk end to end).
There are birds, reptiles, and small mammals (rodents) on the island. There aren't any animals that can harm a person (no bears, no poisonous snakes).
The basic floorplans of the cabin can be found here.
Not all the cabins are identical content-wise, but the doors, walls, etc are in the same place. You will see in the floorplans there is a master bedroom and a second bedroom. For some, this second room may instead function as an office-type space, or any other area your character might want. All furniture within the cabins can be rearranged.
Storage within the cabins:
Pantry (by the kitchen, next to the stairs): Fully stocked.
Fridge: Fully stocked. Any special dietary needs are taken care of (e.g. if you character were vegetarian, an appropriate diet would be available. If your character has allergies or particular food needs, those are taken care of).
Linens closet (top of the stairs): Blankets, sheets, etc.
Master closet (master bedroom): Clothes in correct sizes for the character living in that cabin. There are clothes appropriate for all types of weather that might be encountered on the island.
Dresser (optional, second bedroom): Clothes for additional household members can be found here.
Basement: NOT all households have basements. Basement-ed houses are the inner rows of each cabin block (South 1-5, West 6-10, East 6-10). Basements have a washing machine and dryer. Some may also contain other goodies, so check with Bee if you feel like exploring!
