stairs and hallways
be careful on the stairs, sometimes they yawn and take a nap! if you suddenly find yourself on a long, spiral slide, then hold on to your books! with time and practice, students can learn the stairs' sleeping schedule, but that doesn't mean they won't trip you up on purpose. the hallways are much more polite, however the adventurous acadian may find a few things of interest around on those late night strolls.

houses and apartments
the houses and apartments in the city surrounding the school make up the magical community of acadia. there are no muggles living within the limits of the hidden city, and there are strong anti - muggle enchantments to prevent encroachment. some acadia university alum live here, and any students, faculty or staff who choose to live off campus will be located here. shop owners and townies have dominion.

public services
should the need arise, magical law enforcement is just a simple hop, jump, and skip away. be careful to keep the nearby muggles in the dark and to not to break any magical laws, and all should be well. also the community hospital and the only magical bank on this end of the country is located within the confines of this newly established community.
