Another notable feature is the fact that she is only 5’3, so incredibly short. )

Musical & intelligent
Annette has always loved music, through her whole life. The girl likes learning how to play instruments and has mastered quite some by now. She can play the piano, (bass) guitar, drums, violin and saxophone and is still trying to learn new things. The blonde also loves to sing and has a good voice. She is intelligent and hardly has to study to get good marks, and this is also why she is able to learn to play new instruments quite quickly. The bad part is, Annette knows she’s that good. She can come off as arrogant pretty quickly and her intelligence causes her to be lazy and unmotivated for no reason.

Sturdy & flirty
As sweet as Annette is, she is quite a sturdy girl, and though she's feminine and definately not a tomboy, she is quite sturdy. Annette is against the whole 'OHMYGOD, I JUST BROKE A NAIL!' type of Royal thing, but she does like it when guys stare after her because she's pretty, and looking like real girl instead of a half boy. Let's just say that Annette has her own flair. Annette may be chill and sweet, she is quite flirtatous, not really a whore or a maneater, but she does like the look of boys. And making out with boys, tempting them. That is quite annoying for some people, though Annette has her boundaries. Taken boys are off limit. The thing she hates about being sturdy is the fact that all boys she knows eventually see her as ‘one of the guys’, because she drinks beer and watches football with them and isn’t a girly girl. Whenever Annete likes a boy (though that is hardly ever the case), they will probably see her as a friend despite the fact that she’s good-looking and flirty.

Crazy & laidback
Annette literally accepts everyone. Ofcourse, if you drive her insane because you're being a total bitch, she won't like you, but she'll just plainly ignore you as much as possible. Furthermore, she doesn't have a problem with anybody, and is nice to all. She has the type of attitude that things go as they go and there's nothing you can change about it. She accepts things the way they are. 'Je ne sais quoi', is her favorite line for why things happen. Get ready for a hell of a ride! Annette is crazy, hyperactive and loves to have fun. Big fun. She tempts people into doing crazy stuff like her, will do everything you challenge her to do (especially after a few drinks) and drags her friends along into her mischief. This has gotten her into some trouble already. The downfall of this however, is that Annette has no boundaries. She goes along, never plans anything and just.. goes with the flow. When she gets an idea that sounds cool or a bet that someone dares her to do, Annette will do it, not looking forward regarding any consequences.

Have an adventure? Count Annette in! She is damn curious and always wants to know everything about everything. Dragons have always had her upmost interest and she can’t wait to finally see them! Secrets are usually not a secret for long with this girl, and she comes off at nosey from time to time. She is irresponsible and never thinks about the dangers of things that could happen, not with when she parties, nor when she goes on an adventure. Everything is fun, she is an optimist, but usually led on by people who take her enthusiasm and turn her the wrong direction.

history:
Annette Doryce Mason was born as the daughter to Elaine Martinique Sanfriére-Mason and Daniel Everon Mason. She originally came from Paris, where her father as engineer met her mother. Elaine Sanfriére came from a very old french aristocrat family and was used to life in wealth and status, whereas Daniel just came from a lowerclass family of factory workers and has known hard work for all his life, just to get where he was now, as wealthy engineer. Two very different personalities, but between Daniel and Elaine something sparked from their very first meeting. The couple fell in love, and despite the disdain and disapproval Elaine's family, she still married him. Their first son was called David Michél Mason. One year later, Jean-Pierre Niccolo Mason was born and again a year after him Annette Doryce Mason. But as Paris became insufferable for the Mason’s to live, with the scorn of Elaine’s family, they moved away and ended up in Thomaston, Georgia. Daniel's father Craig was dieing and he lived there. The whole family travelled off to the USA, to go and see Craig on his deathbed in Thomaston. After that, when his mother was in financial problems, her father didn't want to go away anymore.

Though they grew up in the USA, the kids were raised with French as mother tongue, because her father had work there all the time, and completely settled according to the French standards, and were taught english, french, german and even spanish besides their regular classes. As her mother discovered Annette's musical talent, she was also sent to piano, guitar and harp lessons. Annette was raised with the manners and etiquette of the upperclass French society and got everything she wanted. She was raised together with Peter, because his mom Vivian was a close friend to Elaine. Annette was being raised strictly, already taught about magic when the first signs of it appeared, and with her brothers it was no difference.

When Annette finally got to sei, she felt relief. Relief, to be away from her notorious mother, who was judgemental and overprotective, always asking more and more and more from her children. Besides, she gotto go with Peter, who by then had become her best friend. They always stuck together, when Peter was in hard times, when she was. Annette had watched Peter grow from a nerdy first year to the lanky –and quite handsome- 8th year he was now. And they were the cause of trouble in many classes, especially COMC.

But at home, things did not go so flawless. Nothing was good enough for her mother and it drove Annette crazy. When her mother became pregnant, it became even worse and with six years age difference, her little sister Chantelle Dominique was born. Annette got older and older, her mother harsher and harsher, and in the end, the blonde started hating her mother. The fights became fiercer and fiercer and Annette started to rebellize against her strict upbringing, by partying along the surfers, surfing in general and learning how to play electric guitar, bass guitar and drums, which was not what her mother thought of as ladylike instruments. When the fights got out of hand and Annette didn't return home at night, her dad Daniel found the solution.

Annette would get het own appartement, so she could breathe and feel free. Her mother was totally against this idea, but for the first time, her dad didn't listen to Elaine. It hurt the girl to leave her little sister behind, knowing she would get the same raise as she and Jean had. The agreement was for Annette to have dinner at home, bring her laundry and all those things, but in the end, it turned out she only visited her home in the weekends, bringing her laundry. Frustrated by her mother's behaviour, Annette doesn't like coming home, or talking about home. This was at the same time as Annette's oldest brother David drowned while surfing. It crushed the family's already fragile home situation. It took only two months after his younger sister left for Jean to join her at their house. About a year ago, her mother left them, going back to France, as her own parents passed away. This was because she would not get her inheritance if she was with Daniel. In the end money was more important to her and they divorced. This hurt Annette to no end, and she refused to visit her mother in Paris, not even to see Chantelle. By now, Elaine has stopped asking. Annette has totally erased the memory of her mother, that hurt her dad so much, and lost her believe in love.

I was just saying how I wanted some more female Renards. I should just say more often! Peter is going to make all sorts of French jokes now. Just you wait. He also has deemed her Queen Mary of Scotland! He claims he wants to be Bothwell but I told him that wouldn't end well. He won't listen. Enough about that! I love the history with her mother. I'm eager to see how it'll play out in the future especially since the school is under attack and people got hurt. Would she miss her mama or continue to believe she doesn't exist?
