Getting Started

Welcome to Seiseux! Here’s where you can find out what exactly you need to know as you join.

The first step is to read all the basic information:
- RULES
- PLOT
- FAQ
These should help to answer most of your questions regarding the site. If you have any further questions, we have a questions, comments, and concerns forum located with our FAQ.

Next is our Seiseux Resource section. Both Ryker and I know that it is extensive, that is why we want it clear that you do not have to read every section prior to joining. We suggest that you focus on the information that involves your character. What do we mean by that?

Well if you are joining at Student or a Staff member at Seiseux, we strongly encourage you to read the Seiseux Resources so you can get a better understanding of the school. If joining a student, you want to focus on the sorting, houses, history, uniforms in matter of that importance. If joining an adult, reading the classes list, resident hall directors, history and uniforms. If you’re joining an adult not related to the school then we suggest you focus on the American Culture Resources. Social Status and Blood is a good required read for all adults. What to read next depends on what type of adult you wish to join. Those interested in the press should read about the press, those in senate - the government threads, and those who wish to own a shop - magical New Orleans. As for the rest of the information, it is there for you to read at your leisure later.

Now it is time for you to register! Remember to register with your character’s first and last name with proper capitalization. Afterwards, take a look at our Application section. There you will find a small guide on what is needed for each section. Unsure of what or who to join? Check out our guest plotting.

Once you’ve completed your application and you’ve been accepted, it’s time to head over to the following sections:
- Introductions
- Face Claims
- Plottage
- Character Libraries

Remember, we are here to help! If you have any questions don’t be afraid to contact Sugar or Ryker. I promise we’re both nice! Last but not least, have fun!

Optional Links for character development:
- What Tree Did You Fall From? – Were you ever curious about what your character’s wand is made out of? Here’s one way you can see what kind of wand would be used.
- Harry Potter Astrology – Here is another site that is just fun to look at when creating your characters.
- What is Your Spirit Animal? – A fun little quiz that can be helpful in determining what animal your character’s patronous is.
- The Sorcerer’s Companion Arithmancy Calculator – A fun site that uses your character’s name to determine their General, Inner, and Outer personalities. Sometimes it may be exactly like your character, and other times it may not be what you had in mind.
