The Rules of Sam & Freddie, the Bickering Sidekicks Forum
(Changes in red) ~KEEP IT CLASSY~ {1} Keep crude language to a minimum, and try to spell things at least mostly correct. I'm not a huge stickler about cursing, but if you don't take a minute to spellcheck I'm less likely to read your words. It's all about RESPECT. Take a minute and think about what you're posting. Is it polite? Is it respectful? Is it readable? Then post it. {2} No discrimination, bashing, cruelty of any sort, or close-mindedness allowed. If you have a genuine problem with another member, and you've already tried to resolve it between yourselves and it hasn't worked, then contact ycc1988. {3} No rank racing! Era said it best so I'm just going to quote it: Which means, Do not spam. I know you guys love the ranks, but posting for the sake of posting and redundant answers like True, I agree, Ok, Lol will just get you in my black book of annoying. If you spam you will be warned, but you will find that the administrators have a very short tolerance level for spammers. If you find a topic is getting too far off track then take it elsewhere. Oh, and one more thing: The edit button is your friend, use it. Double posts are not permitted, unless there's something wrong with the edit button. (I will allow some leniency if you have something very special to add, e.g. air dates, or if the thread has been dead for a long time. If it has been around 12 hours and nobody has made a post after one of yours, then you may make another post on that thread to share more. Always ok: If you need to share more than 20 images or if you made more fanwork to share.) However, no thread-bumping for the sake of bumping.) ~KEEP IT PRETTY~ {1} No nudity, racist jokes, bad language, body parts that are inappropriate in any part of your siggy or avatar. We'll remove them without warning if we see it. As for things that straddle the line, like a curse word with one letter blurred out, or a tawdry joke, we'll judge it on a case by case basis. {2} DO NOT EMBED VIDEOS IN YOUR SIGNATURE. I allow the use of html in your siggy for the flexibility of posting images, but when you embed codes of videos, every single siggy on this board will contain a video, and do you know how much space that will take? Not to mention slowing the entire board down. Also, when quoting, take the time to remove any images or embedded videos from your quote. {3} ALL signatures must be smaller than 600x300px (widthxheight) (previously 500 pixels before a layout change). This includes all images and text as a whole. Anything bigger, and we will change it without warning. If you need help resizing your siggies, you may send a PM to ycc1988. He's at the ready to assist you. Do not post multiple images that add up to more than 600x300px, either. Try to keep your signatures from being distracting or seizure-inducing. (Posted Image) Because some people just can't seem to wrap their heads around the numbers, I've made this handy-dandy visual aide. {4} Do not post images that are wider than 600px, as it will break the forum and make it all quite unreadable. If you don't want to or can't resize your image, simply provide a link to it in your post. ~KEEP IT KIND~ {1} If you see someone in violation of any of the forum rules, or about to cross a line, the first thing to do is PM them about it. Do not make a post in the topic detailing their mistake or calling them out on something personal. It is best to simply contact them directly to suggest that their image is too large or their words were inappropriate. {2} Be helpful! If you have an idea for a contest or a challenge, put it out there! If you have Seddie news or information, share it! Try to contribute content to all the discussions you're involved with, and don't be afraid to post new topics. {3} ENJOY YOURSELF! Along the sidebar, you will find the list of all the mods. By clicking their names, you get their profile, which will show you many ways to contact them. If you are unsure who you should contact for a complaint or suggestion, try ycc1988. Not having read the rules is no excuse for not following them. They are completely reasonable and any warning that a mod may give you is up to their discretion. |

If you're here, that means you must be a fan of Seddie, or at least curious about what the heck "Seddie" means. So, if you fall into either category, WELCOME!
