I'm just not seeing any signs of this "boyfriend" for Carly we're supposed to get, and if he appears in the future episodes, it's going to really be rushed.

I agree if the 'boyfriend' Carly is supposed to get appears in any of the future episodes, it's going to be very rushed.

^Unless the boyfriend is...Gibby. Heaven forbid.

Not that I don't like the Gibster, but I certainly don't like the "pair the spares" trope. It's silly.

Ratings are in from TVByTheNumbers.com and here they are.

QUOTE

iCarly (Nickelodeon)
-8 PM: 2.362 million viewers, 0.44 A18-49

Victorious (Nickelodeon)
-8:30 PM: 2.603 million viewers, 0.48 A18-49

Bucket & Skinner (Nickelodeon)
-9 PM: 1.536 million viewers, 0.25 A18-49

It still doesn't look good at all for iCarly since Victorious beat it in both A18-49 and in viewers.

Same. I'm not a fan of the whole "pair up" the leftovers thing. That said, I really think if Carly ends up with anyone at this point it's going to be Gibby, Freddie (pardon me while I vomit everywhere...and pardon my petulance in doing so) or she'll end up alone. I don't think there is any "outsider"...not this late in the game.

As for ratings, I'm not surprised. I expected Victorious to do better. I'm not even a fan really of Victorious but that episode was better than the iCarly episode. Ratings are whatever a this point. The show is over.

True, but in the past Nick has kept episodes of other shows unaired and let them sit in the vault collecting dust for all eternity or just burn them off in a early morning time slot.

True, but this is iCarly. Dan's longest running show and the networks main live action staple...well it was anyways, not so much anymore. My point is, I don't see that happening here.

I can honestly say I'd rather see Creddie happen (it won't :D) than end with Cibby. If Seddie and Creddie weren't mutually exclusive, I wouldn't object to Creddie since it's so innocuous that it's hard to get worked up over one way or another. Cibby is just plain wrong. The same goes for Sibby. Gibby's just too out there to be taken even remotely seriously as a love interest for Carly or Sam.

I'm not surprised by the low ratings, as well as "Victorious" beating it. Not because of quality (the show is really subpar for me), but because of exposure and promotion. Jennette's "Ponnie" episode has been known about for quite some time, and I think it got an individual promo. "iCarly" only had a partial promo as part of "Just Jennette" night, and all that was advertised was Spencer's plot.

Also, I'm pretty sure the casual fan thinks "iCarly" ended a while back. Any time I turn on Nick now, it's either "Spongebob" or "Victorious." I never see "iCarly" on anymore. Would it kill Nick to actually make some hoopla over this being the 100th episode? I don't think Dan's other shows - current and future - are going to hit that milestone again.

The cast is also practically nonexistent in the press except for the random Tiger Beat or BOP (and Nathan seems to get the most press of the three in those!)

But hey, "iCarly" is only 300,000 under "Victorious" and yet 3 years older. That's a testament to the show's popularity. :)

Exactly! Victorious will have to be very lucky to get to were iCarly has been. Having 12 million people tune in for an episode...that will probably never happen again.

Agreed, having 12 million people tune in for a episode will probably never happen again at all for the network with the ratings downside it has been going through since September.

I've always been meh on Cibby but after the armpit thing and the Cibby stuff in this episode, I can see the possibility of it happening. Maybe Dan won't go the 'pair the spares' route but it's more realistic for me to read now in fanfiction. In a weird way, Carly and Gibby's personalities are starting to complement each other somewhat. What other girl would nonchalantly pick a deodorant smell after a guy smothers her face in his armpits? lol

But Carly's shallowness in her taste in guys is still a real roadblock for this pairing and I don't think it can be resolved in the few episodes they have left unless they really commit to the pairing. At this point I think Carly will end the series single and she'll have pretty much the same dating life as her brother for quite awhile yet.

And about the ratings, Victorious would hit the jackpot if it even hits iOMG's 8mil viewers and I don't see that happening anytime soon. Did Tori Goes Platinum even hit 4mil?

I'm hoping the series finale will bring in huge ratings but that entirely depends on how Nick promotes it.

Did Nick completely change their promo team since 2009/2010? Because I remember promos back then used to be MUCH better. iTTK promos capitalized on being the iKiss sequel and had the Creddie moment of Freddie pinning Carly to the ground as well as the obvious Seddie follow-up to their first kiss. There was something that appealed to both ships. Promos for iSYL was the same in that it included a part of Seddie's hallway talk as well as the Creddie kiss. They knew how to appeal to the fandom in those days, it seems. Something they lost entirely by the time the Seddie arc came around and it's just been downhill ever since.

I dunno if this has been said already, but I feel like this episode had two b-plots and no main plot. I mean, Spencer is fighting a little kid and Gibby has a weapon. Not really bug stuff happening here.

But still a better episode than iDo.

Huh. That's a good point.

Noah touching Miranda's face was kind of hilarious to me because he was touching it but not trying to touch it at the same time. I mean normally if you touch someone's face, you put your whole hand on their cheeks but he just had his finger tips on her face, it looked awkward to me. I mean I guess he might have been worried about the makeup but it just looked really weird.

I really hope Carly and Gibby don't get together. I just can't see them together....at all.

Welcome!

If you're here, that means you must be a fan of Seddie, or at least curious about what the heck "Seddie" means. So, if you fall into either category, WELCOME!

Come in and talk about anything and everything Seddie, AKA Samantha "Sam" Puckett and Fredward "Freddie" Benson. The largest and most organized Seddie forum on the dotcom. Not dotnet. Dotnet is for losers. Join the rest of the Seddie fans and talk about anything and everything there is to Sam and Freddie.

About this site

Once upon a time...there was a lady named Era. She was a major sidekick shipper, and especially shipped Sam/Freddie, aka Seddie.

In early December 2008, TigerBeat Magazine printed spoilers for the episode "iKiss," inducing mayhem within the iCarly shipping community. Many non-iCarly forums had their "Other Ships" section overrun with rapid Seddie conversations.

In light of this, on December 13th, 2008, Bickering Sidekicks was born in order to give the squeeing a proper outlet. In one month, the board grew to over 400 members. It now has over 2000 members. Maybe you should join in?
