Ok...so I wanted to make cool signatures and icons and stuff, but I didn't know what program to use.
Here's what I USUALLY use---Paint on Windows XP LunaPic (That's what I usually use) PicNik (if it decides to work on my computer) So what do you guys use? I don't want to spend money though :eeps: so if you could, tell me if you know of a free, good editing program. I'm off to see if PicNik will work today. |

GIMP is a good open source editor.
I personally really like GIMPshop, which better resembles Adobe Photoshop. GIMPshop |

GIMP is the bomb. I actually have Photoshop (corporate license) but prefer GIMP anyway.

Gimp is good stuff, and it's free so that's a plus. I still prefer Photoshop, but paying that much for it is a bit ridiculous.
For videos and the like, I use Camtasia Studio. It's a lot like Windows Movie Maker, but you can do things like PiP, record the screen and a bunch of other stuff. |

I have GIMP on my laptop. Awesome chizz. I prefer Photoshop, though, since I've used it for almost a year now.
Mine's an Adobe Photoshop CS4. I just got it a few days ago. The one I used for my siggies (and the one I'm using now) was Adobe Photoshop 7.0. For videos, I use Sony Vegas Pro 9.0. But then, I've never posted any videos yet. This post has been edited by EnergizerBunnieBoo on Apr 17 2010, 09:39 AM |

Another alternative for those you who don't want to/can't install desktop image editors on your computers: Thumba.
Thumba runs entirely in your browser and there is no need to register or anything like that. You will, however, need Microsoft's Silverlight plugin to use it; if you don't have it installed, you'll be prompted to install it when you visit the site. |

Ruthanne.
I had one of those, too! It's really easy to use. Awesome stuff. :) GAH. I need to download episodes. I can almost hear my Sony Vegas crying, "Jazz! PLEASE USE ME! D':" or something. |

I'm so jealous~. Where did you get Vegas? I'm using Photoshop CS4 for avatar and colouring manga. And for videos, I use Pinnacle Studio 12. |
