Leyuri Steamwerks
Perhaps one of the strangest sights to behold in Freeport is Alphonse Leyuri's workshop, Leyuri Steamwerks. Placed just off the High Road that runs north through Ashvale, the path to this squat, wooden structure is dotted with numerous signs warning visitors of the potential danger that lies ahead. Coal-black smoke pumps out of the chimney, turning the mist around the workshop into a greyish haze. Every now and then, as a visitor approaches the front step, an ear-splitting explosion rings out from within, blowing out all the windows in a shower of glittering glass. The sound of progress.
