*NOTE* These mainly have been taken from the old boards. The new ones have even more options. While it seems daunting, it's actually even easier. Just ask me any questions if these basic instructions don't help.
Changing your user information
You can change your name, password, and basically everything else, in your profile. Just click on the "My Controls" text at the top right.
----------
Custom Avatars
To get your own avatar, do the following:
1. Make one, grab it off the web, etc.
2. make sure that no bigger than 200x200 px big. You can tweak that a little bit, and you can tell the web to resize it to that- but if you don't actually resize it FIRST, before uploading, it tends to distort badly. Use any image editing software to do this, or just send it to me and i can do it for you.
3. Upload it from your machine
OR
3. Upload it to the web. These boards don't let you upload it for your machine. It HAS to be on the web somewhere again. So load it to your personal page, and get the exact URL of that image once uploaded. If you again, need me to, I can do this. If you give me the image I can stick it on my own site. I have plenty of space for that.

Custom Sig with an image
To get your own signature with an image, it's actually extremely similar to how you make a custom avatar, except for a few changes. The numbers relate to above steps for the custom avatar.
1. Same, make it!
2. Size doesn't really matter for a sig, but you don't want to go too crazy. Try to make sure it's something that doesn't take forever to load.
3. Upload it, just the the avatar.
4. This is where things change. On the sig box it gives you, it's just blank. But it says: Signatures are displayed at the bottom of each post or instant message. UBBC code may be used in your signature. This means that all the buttons at the top of your post, for bolding, italics, and etc, work there. That ALSO means that you can put an image in, you just have to use the image tag. So be sure to copy and paste that tag, which you can find by clicking the pictureframe icon: [ img ] URL [ / img ] Remove the spaces when you use it, I just did that so it would allow me to show the full tag, without trying to actually USE it as a tag. Anyway, pretty easy here. use the tag, put the image URL in the middle, and done! Test it out, make sure it works, and there you have it.

Any other questions? Post them here and ask me. If I don't know, i'll do what I can to find out. And will be posting other useful information on this thread as time goes on. Happy posting, people.
