Recently Joined - What I Think Of Pet Lovers

I have recently joined Pet Lovers and I think it is a very interesting forum. It seems to have very friendly members (always one of the main must-haves on a forum!), good topics and helpful information, and a wonderful skin colour - plus great avatars! Well done for creating such a lovely forum and I look forward to dropping in to say "Happy Birthday" on 26th June - amazing to think that Pet Lovers has only been going for one year; it seems like more!

I do have one complaint and that is that the web address for Pet Lovers is very long and confusing - http://z13invisionfree.com/petloversforum. What a name! I would be very grateful if it could be changed sometime to a more sensible name like most forums are, for example www.petlovers.co.uk, www.petlovers.com or www.petlovers.org, even http://petlovers.co.uk would be better than the current mammoth address. Hope you agree and I look forward to some feedback on this.

Its great to hear that you've been enjoying the forum!

i absolutely agree! the URL for this forum is very long and annoying to remember. I know that this, in the past, has caused problems for things that the staff of PLF have wanted to do in the past.

the reason that it is the way that it is, though, is because invisionfree (the name in the URL) has been able to give us the space to create the forum for free. so, they like to have their name in our URL.

If we wanted to become petlovers.com(or something similar), it would mean that we'd have to pay some money. I'm not sure how it all works, but I'm pretty sure that it would quickly become expensive. and it won't really be worth it at the moment when there only seems to be 3 members!!! the other issue is that any of domain names with petlovers or petloversfourm may have already been taken.

I hope this answers your question. Riebie may want to check to make sure that everything i've said is correct, but i'm pretty sure its right.
