It's the year 1977, and naturally things in the wizarding world will never be passed off as normal. There's a dark force on the rise, and the ministry is fighting hard to cover it up, while the Order of the Phoenix brings together some of the most talented witches and wizards to counteract all of his mysterious evil biddings. Tom Riddle is Lord Voldemort, and he's got his loyal subjects known as Death Eaters following closely in line, feeding on his every word, hanging on his every breath, always awaiting their next command. The students of Hogwarts know little of these evil schemes, and continue trying to cope with the every day life that comes alongside being a teenager. Yet, when Voldemort tampers with families and begins gathering pure-blooded followers within the walls of Hogwarts, things have the potential to get a bit... foggy? It's true: Tom Riddle has discovered a new spell that is slightly more dangerous than just your average memory charm. Sure, it isn't ideal to lose a memory here or there, but this discovery aims to rob people of every memory they've ever had. Bit by bit, their memories are gradually leaving their minds, and eventually, one has to wonder... will these witches and wizards even known their own names? Will they know how to walk or talk? Can it really get that bad? Is this spell really that powerful? It will take time, but ultimately it is all too possible. Unless, of course, someone can find a counter-curse to this mind numbing abomination known as... oblivescence !
