she got jumper cable lips, she got sunset on her breath i inhaled just a little bit, now i got no fear of death
It was 11:00pm precisely, and Edmund Travers was wondering if Leda Lisle was the sort of person to show up late. She had one minute left to show up on schedule, and he had absolutely no idea what to expect—he hardly knew the woman at all. Edmund, for one, was not the sort of person to show up late; he could hardly even remember the last time he’d been tardy for something, but he was pretty sure it hadn’t been since his years at Hogwarts, and had probably been due to someone else’s inadequacies, not his own. Either way, he had not made the same mistake since, and timeliness had become one of the few (alright, perhaps more than few) things that Edmund was on the side of obsessive about. He was usually ten to fifteen minutes earlier than he needed to be for any given occasion, and that included even the most casual of meetings between friends. He was not sure what it was about being late that irked him so, but without knowing why, he simply refused to allow it of himself.
Thus, Edmund had shown up at the Dragon’s Breath at a quarter to eleven, and had taken an outside seat despite the late hour and the chill in the air. He was dressed in mostly grey, as per usual, and was carefully and meticulously rolling himself a cigarette on top of the rickety little table at which he sat. He wet the tip of his finger with his tongue and sealed the paper carefully, and proceeded to tuck the thin, perfect cigarette between his lips. It glowed orange quite suddenly (Edmund was quite proficient when it came to wandless magic, at least for easier and more inconsequential spells like producing a small flame), and he inhaled slowly, enjoying the gentle crackle that sounded with burning paper. He lowered his hand, the cigarette resting steadily between his pointer and index finger, and his blue eyes drifted lazily over the dark, empty street. It was 11:01.
Although Edmund was a bit hard on himself when it came to timeliness (and many other things, come to think of it), he did not put nearly the same amount of pressure on others. Even if he expected it of them, he never would have said it aloud, but on this matter Edmund honestly didn’t care one way or another—whether Leda showed up now or ten minutes from now would little affect the circumstances of the night. What those circumstances were he had yet to find out, for though he’d met Leda and seen her around several times in the last few months, he had never formally spoken with her. That was part of the reason he’d asked her to meet him here in the first place—he liked to know his allies, and to know if they were worth being allies at all—and alongside that reason… well, Leda was sexy as hell. Even three hours late in Gryffindor robes, Edmund would still find her sexy as hell, and that was saying something.
Edmund leaned back in his seat a little bit, and dragged idly from the tip of his cigarette.
11:02. She would not be one of those people until 11:05, but even if she was… he’d still want to fuck her.

♥ like diamondsI want to see you smile, Like diamonds in the dust. The amazing sound of killing hordes, The day the banks collapse on us. Cease this endless chattering Like everything is fine. When sorry is not good enough, Sit in the back while no one drives. So glad you’re mine.Meeting with Edmund tonight did not really make sense to Leda. He said that he had no interest in interrogating her in the same way his sister Moira had, but Leda couldn't help but think this seemed like a convenient lie, a way of tricking her to meet with him. It wasn't that he'd particularly minded the stern talk that Moira had sat down to have with her only a week prior to this. In fact, she understood quite well why such precautions had to be taken, and she respected both Moira and Edmund for respecting the Dark Lord's wishes. Nonetheless, it was all very tiring, and although she'd tolerated this type of interrogation from Moira, had found it slightly humorous even, she didn't know if she'd have the same sort of patience for it again, especially coming from Edmund who'd she'd barely spoken to before. Of course, they'd seen each other at meetings and had always offered each other a cordial hello, but outside of that, she knew very little of Moira's brother, and she wasn't sure she was very interested in finding out more. However, he had been quite persistent, and Leda had no desire to upset anyone within this particular group. She was aware that she was still the new person here, the one no one knew or trusted, and until that feeling waned, she would have to be at their bidding. She also knew those feelings may never wane, and if that would be the case, she would deal with that as well. She was strong and she could handle all of the questions and the distrusting glares. She just wasn't sure if she was in the mood to deal with another one-on-one encounter with them just now.Because she was hesitant to meet up with Edmund in the first place, Leda took her time leaving to meet him at the bar that already had become familiar to her. Before leaving to meet with Edmund, Leda changed her clothes several times, less because she cared what she wore to meet with him and more because she was enjoying trying on clothes and possibly wasting his time while he waited for her. If she took long enough, he might leave or he might decide to cut their meeting short. finally, about ten minutes past when she was expected at dragon's breath, leda decided on an outfit that was more casual than the usual things she wore to Death Eater gatherings, which was not at all by mistake. Leda usually thought a lot about the kind of clothing she wore, and it usually reflected the kind of mood she was in. In this case, she felt as if she couldn't be bothered, and she was tired. Work, as always, had been less than satisfactory, and she felt overqualified for the job that she was doing. All of these things compounded meant she cared very little about the evening ahead of her, and if it were up to her, she might rather be sleeping. The clothing she wore reflected that.It was a good fifteen minutes after their chosen meeting time when Leda finally apparated in fron of the pub and walked inside. It wasn't too crowded tonight, and Leda was quickly able to spot Edmund sitting at a table in the corner, lazily smoking a cigarette. She sauntered over to him slowly, smiling calmly as if she had no idea how late she was, even though she'd planned the whole thing. Without being offered a seat, Leda sat across from him, leaned back against the back of the chair, and crossed her legs. "I hope you have another one of those for me," she said softly, indicating the cigarette in his hands. She enjoyed having a cigarette in situations like this, mostly because it gave her something to do with her hands outside of holding a drink. She didn't know Edmund, and because of this, she didn't want to trust him, to lower her guard. This meant pacing herself when it came to drinks. She knew he probably thought he'd be able to pry answers out of her if he bought her a few drinks, but she felt she had done enough for him by actually showing up. From here on out, this evening she refused to play by anyone's rules but her own.THIS TEMPLATE WAS MADE BY MAIZIE MOO AT ATF. PLEASE DO NOT STEAL.

she got jumper cable lips, she got sunset on her breath i inhaled just a little bit, now i got no fear of death
Because he had been watching the place quite like a hawk examining its prey, Edmund spotted the blonde witch the very moment she walked through the door. He may have been seated in the darkest corner of the Dragon’s Breath, but the crowd tonight was thin, and it did not take Leda many moments to notice Edmund where he sat, brooding, by one of the fog sheeted windows towards the back of the bar. He sat quite still, his gaze trained on her as she approached, admiring the graceful way with which she put one long, pretty leg in front of the other. The corner of his lips formed into the tiniest hint of a smile. She was fifteen minutes late, but Edmund could tell by the lazy lope of her walk and her dark, casual attire that Leda had been in little to no hurry to meet him here, and the possibility that her tardiness was intentional made her even more attractive in Edmund’s eyes. For Edmund, the concept of lateness was redefined when intentions were involved, and so Leda Lisle was not one of those people after all; she was another brand of person all together. In his mind, he silently slipped her from one list of names and onto another, his carefully constructed categories remaining relatively undisturbed.
Leda’s first request was met with a wordless obedience. Cigarette still dangling from his lips, Edmund reached a hand into his pocket, pulling out the small packet of papers and soft pouch of tobacco. He set himself to the task, smoothing out one of the thin papers on the surface of the table and spreading the tobacco across it in a line, his fingers nimble in their movements as he gathered the corners, rolling, tucking, pinching, and finally sealing with the tip of his tongue. He held the thing out to her, and as she accepted it he glanced at the tip, to which it responded with the soft orange glow of ignition. It was only after Leda had received her cigarette and placed it between her pretty pink lips that he allowed himself to take a pull from his own. He removed it from his mouth, and shot a soft, careful stream of smoke sideways from his lips, then let his hand fall gently to rest upon the table once more.
“Good evening, Miss Lisle,” he addressed her finally. A smirk crossed his lips, and he flicked his cigarette gently, the bit of grey ash on its end disappearing into the air as though it had never existed in the first place. “For a moment there, I thought I’d be buying a drink for that spider on the ceiling, but here we are.” Granted, he was a man of few words, but he was aware that he had extended this invitation and was therefore accountable for, at the very least, the inception of their conversation. She was suspicious of him, and it was his job to make her comfortable. He lifted his gaze momentarily and glanced at the barmaid, quirking his eyebrow to draw her attention, and once certain that she would be with them shortly he looked back to Leda. “I appreciate your joining me here. What can I get you to drink?””
