"Wha--What have they done?"

The engineer collapsed onto the floor, shocked by the sight before him. A large monitor was flashing red as a warning went off.

Warning! Main Teleporter Malfunction! Warning! Secondary Teleporter Offline! Warning! Malicious Coding Interfering with Repair!

Beside the mainframe, a middle aged man had taken his life by means of a gunshot to the head. The brain matter was splattered across the wall, and his corpse was face first on the floor. The employees darted in panic trying to solve the dangerous dilemma they never faced before. They tried their best to contain the energy that formed the wormholes, but it was quickly leading them no where.

"Please! Sir! Help us! Only you could stop this!!" One of his underlings pleaded with him.

The engineer stood there blankly. He was no longer responding to anyone. His only thought was the outcome that was arriving any minute now.

"They....they did this...." He stammered before finally fainting because of the pressure.

Two Weeks Later

Another news broadcast was already under way. For the last two weeks, everyone on Hidan knew true fear. Many watched random pedestrians, loved ones, pets, and, in rare cases, entire buildings were taken by the occurring wormholes and into the seemingly abyss, never to be seen again.

The broadcast continued, “Thank you Laura. Once again, we could like to repeat that the threat of the wormholes has finally begun to die down thanks to the Department of Spatial Control. They have done their best to contain the situation in many of the larger, populated cities, and are continuing their efforts to reach the smaller towns. Apparently, there was a temporary relief should such a thing occur and I’m glad that there was…..

A sudden wave of static blocked skipped what was left before returning to normal.

“On a related note, there have been eye-witnessed accounts of strange people and anthos coming out from the other end of the worm holes. Scientists believe that the wormholes are sending those sucking to another world, and vice-versa. A suitable budget is currently in the works to begin a exploratory trip through to see if the others are indeed dangerous. In the mean time, utilize extreme caution if you happen to see one.”

The Outskirts of the city of Perston

A flash of light streaked across the field, away from the eyes of people as three people had engaged in a long overdue bout. At first, it seemed like the two teamed together had the advantage, but their divided attention got the best of them. Jack and Serenity fought with the same present issues buried in the back of their minds as their opponent, Frost’s other half, Nightshade, took full advantage of the situation.

“What’s wrong Frost? You don’t have your head in the game!!” He chuckled as he continued his barrage of sword swings.

Frost was indeed distracted as he looked at the large bubble dome covering the city a few miles away. They were in the now forbidden lands, lost by the protection the domes gave. He eyes Serenity, who likewise knew what they had gotten themselves into.

“It’s just like you to pull a stunt--”

The two dove off and broke away from each other as a random wormhole tore through and continued on it path before disappearing a few yards from where it started. Nightshade laughed at their narrow escape. He didn’t care about the possibilities, just his task at hand, to take out his other half. He rushed at them once more, but this time Frost met him head on. The clash of their swords broke the silence for miles. The dead wasteland didn’t give away their location unfortunately, as Serenity broke away and prepared herself. As they continued, her Jinsei staff began to glow and take on a different shape as it stretched outward, forming a quarterstaff. After a awkward moment of adjusting herself, she charged to help her friend.

“You’re growing weak be hesitating all the time Frost.” Nightshade boasted as his Demon Vengeance crashed down upon Frost’s Crystalli Blade.

Frost shifted his weight back and fired an ice surge to put some distance between the two. Nightshade was ready once again, but didn’t see Serenity behind him as she swung with all her might, driving her quarterstaff across his back. Frost took the initiative and ran forward, ready to strike, but Nightshade dug his sword into the ground, regaining his balance and blocking another one of Frost’s blows.

He looked into Frost’s eyes, “You’ve raised another annoyance. Just like these Entities to be such a bother.”

He took a deep breath and exhaled a dark purple cloud into the face of Frost before driving only the tip of his sword into his stomach. Frost flinched in pain as he tried to gasp for air and make out the situation through his blurred vision. Serenity saw the trouble he was in and blindly charged into Nightshade’s trap. He kicked Frost aside and grasped Serenity’s throat. She tired to attack, but her inexperience with her new weapon couldn’t form a decent blow.

“Frost!!” Nightshade yelled, “It’s time you feel what I’ve been feeling for the past three years!!”

Frost struggled to his feet as he stared back at him. He gave him a wicked smirk before another rift opened up behind him. Frost watched as Nightshade, along with Serenity, were swallowed up by the rift before closing once more just a few yards in front of him. Frost couldn’t shake off Nightshade’s smile….the evil smile that he knew too well. He needed to find him, and her, before it’s too late.

Alright, opening post done. Two worlds, unknown to the other's presence, will now meet under bloody terms. You start off in either planet, under either one's rule. I guess normal NMB rules apply. I'm not going to put any other restrictions unless truly needed. Otherwise, post away.

"Hello, are you sleeping?" Someone shook Mannis' shoulder, trying to awaken him. He opened his eyes and blinked several times; the person who had disturbed him was a young mobianoid squirrel.
"Not anymore," he replied drowsily.
"Why were you asleep in the middle of the woods?" the young girl asked him.
Mannis stood up, towering over her. "I'm looking for something, are there any special artifacts where your from?"
"Well..." she rolled her eyes, trying to think, "There is a shrine," she paused, "are you an arcypolologist?"
She obviouly meant arcyologist." Yes, can you show me to this shrine?"

"They say this shrine has been around for centuries." It ceratinly looked old, but it was still in good repair. Mannis took out the crystal globe from his pocket. It expanded in his hand, and the arrow pointed toward the shrine. Then the arrow started to glow.
"Bingo," Mannis grinned briefly, but then the arrow jerked upward. He heard a scream behind him, turned to see that the girl had begun to run away. Finaly looking upward, he saw a black hole in the sky. Leaves and pine needles began to fly toward the worm-hole, so Mannis ran inside the shrine, which was then ripped from the ground and sucked into the worm-hole.

There was no siren. There was no sounds of an engine roaring above her. Everything was as silence as it could be. The only other thing that seemed to show signs of life were the small chirps of small birds huddled closely together.

You need to wake up.....

The voice was warped and hard to understand.

R..ru...RUN!!"

Serenity woke to find herself in the middle of a large forest. The same chirping was louder now, as if more had gather to examine the new comer.

"Where--"

She reverted back to the fight. Nightshade had her by the throat before they were swallowed whole by the rifts outside of the designated zone. She looked at her surrounding. This was where items, animals, building, and people were sent to after being engulfed. The lush, green brush seemed to stretch on for miles, mixing everything together into a large green mess. She didn't know where she was, nor where to go.

"Wait!!?"

She searched around frantically before coming to another realization. Her Jisei Staff was missing. She tighted up, trying to calm herself. Without her staff, it made it impossible to defend herself, and she became her own threat. Since her magic was always transferred into her staff, there was no surplus that could back fire, but now since she was without it, it would start to build up, and before she knew it, it would fire out in one large burst. She remembered the last time that happened. It was when she first started training under Frost and the others. One day, before she was given the Jinsei staff, a, once normal training session turned sour quick when her sense of fear triggered a large misfire of light energy, striking everyone with it's full force.

"I mustn't loose control over my emotion. Just try to keep calm...." She continued to tell herself.

"Well, well, well. It looks like I wont need to search any further...."

That voice made Serenity's heart sunk. She slowly turned around to find an exhausted Nightshade in her midst.

"To think that we'd be ten miles apart, but that's alright now..." he closed in.

Serenity was now driven my mere impulse as she ran in the opposite direction, which excited Nightshade. For him, the chase was always the best part.

Through the endless green forest she ran. Not knowing where she would end up was the least of her worries with Nightshade on her tail.

"Chaos Pulse!!"

A large spherical burst of negative energy slammed into a few trees nearby as she changed course slightly, trying to keep as many trees between her and Nightshade.

"What's wrong Serenity. Is your fighting spirit gone with the loss of my other half" He boasted as he fired a wave of negative energy at a nearby tree.

He knew what he was trying to do. A series of waves to push her fear out into the open. It was only then that her distructive power was at it's peak. He charged his sword once more, this time, he was going something not lethal. He picked his spot, her left leg, as he close the gap sightly, and fired once more. He watched as the wave made its way toward her. His eyes widened with every paiing second that brought it closer to her. Then, a loud bang broke the silence, as a pulse of green energy intercepted his attack and canceled it out. Nightshade looked up at the higher ground to find eight of the world's indigenous people looked back at him and Serenity.

She looked back to find that someone had helped her. Nightshade was furious by their meddling.

"You have NO BUSINESS IN THIS MATTER!" He roared as he fired another Chaos Pulse.

Each member broke away from one another and quickly surrounded him. Nightshade , although surprised at first, was now intrigued by the new arrivals.

"Well then, let's just see how formidable you bunch are...." she smirked as he held his Demon Vengeance upright.

NOTE: Although it says Chaos, it doesn't have anything to do with Chaos energy.

Important lessons for today, Mannis thought as he flopped onto the beach, one, wild worm-holes are very unpleaseant, two, feeling hurts. Umm... he looked up at a young fox who was holding his crystal compass and staring at him. Three, make sure all personal items are on your person before entry. The fox turned and started to run.
He jumped up and gave chase, "We hope you enjoyed your flight!" Surprisingly, the young Mobianoid was quite swift, making him run around in circles. Finaly, the fox ran into a fortified encampment of sorts. As he aproached the fort, the ground in front of him exploded.
"Come no closer, human, or next time I won't miss," the speaker was a large bear with some sort of shoulder-mounted gun, still smoking from the first shot. "Good, now, why were you chasing the young one? after children now, eh?"
"I have no idea what your talking about!" he shouted,
The bear lowered his gun, "Well, you aren't dressed like one of our enemies, and you'd be an awfly small enemy scout." He looked at him cautiously, "even if I let you in, tradition states you have to win a contest."
"What kind of contest?"

"You understand your mission correct"

"Yes of course...learn who has caused the machine to be destroyed"

"And your Other mission"

"I did not forget, ill do it once we catch the perpetrator"

"Good"

---------

Giga was standing on top of the highest building in Perston, watching the chaos and the turmoil in the city, his eyes unfasingly saw countless buildings being sucked into the rampant wormholes all over the city. Giga then turned to see a Badger anthro sitting on the ground scared.

"w...where am i?" The badger said looking at Giga. Giga, not even blinking took out one of his snyper pistols and aimed it at the badger's head. The badger began to scramble away,

"NOO wait mister please dont hurt me! i...i didnt mean anything i got sent to this place by this str...."

*BANG*

a spatter of blood hit Giga's Cape, he sighed angrily, cleaning off his gun then setting it back in the holster. he then took a bit of the now Dead Badger's Coat and wiped the blood off his cape. he then stepped toward the edge of the building, but before he could move on, he looked up and saw a worm hole open over it.

"Awww F-"

And he was sent in.

"Sumo?!" Mannis stared at the extremely large combat ring.
"No, not exactly," Erus the Kodiak began, "It's a physical strength and skill trial. If you beat me, or survive long enough, we'll accept you, and you can claim your possesion."
Mannis stepped into the ring, "So..." he was about to ask who his opponent was, but Erus answered him by stepping into the ring. "Oh boy," he mumbled. Erus was a little taller than him, but was still way out of his weight class. Fortunately, the ring was about fifty feet in diameter.
Erus began explaining the rules, "Firstly, if you go outside the ring, you aren't immediately disqualified. Secondly, no purpousful strikes at vitals, and lastly, respect your opponent. Ready?" Mannis squatted and nodded, "Begin!"
Mannis rushed in with a straight punch, but Erus pushed it aside, and followed with a sumo slap, bowling him over. He quickly stood back up, and 'Danced' toward Erus, swinging his leg in a round-house kick toward Erus' torso. Erus grabbed his leg, and spun him around. Mannis caught himself, and kicked Erus with his other leg. Erus stumled back slightly, and so Mannis rushed in with a straight punch. He waited until Erus caught his breath, and when he did, he smiled.
"You have proven yourself honorable, and so, are accepted into our village."
Mannis was puzzled, "But I thought I had to beat you."
"Not really, the test was whether or not you had a sence of honor, unlike the humans of Hidan. Come into my house, I'm sure we can teach each other."

"So, you came here through one of the black rifts," Erus reflected, "These unnatual anomolies have been sucking people into them, and dispencing strangers who claim to come from another world. The fox-child and his mother are one of these." Erus motioned to someone, and shortly afterward, there was the young fox and his "mother" a Lioness.
The child came forward and offered the orb, "Here, It came out of one of the portals, shortly before you did,"
"Thank you," Mannis took the Crystal compass back, and the arrow materialized inside the crystal.
This definately caught everyone's attention.

Giga was not having the best day anymore...

First off, he got a bogus mission, then he had his home sucked into one of those wormholes....then his girlfriend....now hes stuck in a foreign world, he feels like someone dropped a pile of bricks on his head, and he has this incessent feeling his snyper pistols are not on his person at the moment. He finally opened his eyes and then saw a pair of Hedgehog kids playing with the guns, although they seemed smart enough not to actually pull the trigger.

"Remember they are our enemies, eliminate them all on sight"

Those words haunted Giga's mind, he wasent a natural born killer, especially when it came to the innocent. Not to mension if the job didnt pay as well as it did, he wouldnt even have a problem with the furries in the first place. Then he began to think a little more.

"Now wait just a second....if my house and my girlfriend are over here...and I am over here..... then Hiden's government cant hurt me right now...well in theory they cant.... F*** this bullS*** mission, im going to catch that moron that sabotaged the machine, WITHOUT killing ANYONE...then im gonna find my girl and chill peacefully on this planet...whatever it is..." Giga thought in his mind, smiling to himself.

"Hey mister! Can we have these?" One of the hedgehog kids asked him laughing.

"Sure hold on" Giga walked over, removed the bullets from them, then handed them back to them.

"Thanks!" They both said then proceeded to run back toward a village, laughing and cheering at their newfound "Toys".

"hmm...i guess ill try their" Giga said, walking down the path toward the village. Giga breathed in deep, the air hasnt been this fresh ever, he was beginning to like this world....until he saw the village itself.

"Holy Goddess..... its...primitave" He said, eyeing the simple homes and the dirt roads, The technology seemed horribly primitave to him, considering hes always been around huge sky scrapers and great amounts of macheniry. This was going to take some getting use to.... Giga shook his head then walked into the village, their seemed to be a lot of kids out playing, and they paid no mind to him...

"odd...where is all the adults...." Giga thought, then the sound of a number of rifles was heard in front of him. He looked in front of him to see about 15 Adult furries of different species pointing their guns at him. Giga held his hands up, trying not to cause them to shoot.

"You best turn around, Otherlander, before we decide to off you right now" A Older hedgehog said, glaring at him angrily.

"OOF! Ow, jeez, do you have to be so rough, mom?"

Wedge sat on the ground and rubbed his shoulder where his mother had just struck him, dead-center on his brachial plexus. Vanessa looked down at him and shook her head, her long, flowing sky-blue hair tied back in a ponytail that swished back and forth.

"It's that foot of yours. Your stance still needs work, it leaves you open on the left side."

She held out a hand to help him up, and he stood, brushing himself off.

"I'll show you one last time, okay?"

Adjusting her feet and hands into a flawless Kazeken stance, Venessa leaned back and placed most of her weight on the left leg, as she, unlike Wedge, was left-handed. With a graceful, fluid motion, she demonstrated a flawless execution of Reppuujuugo, striking the air in front of her fifteen times before Wedge could even blink.

In frustration, Wedge walked over to the nearest tree and began repeatedly hitting his head on the trunk, chanting, "Why can't I get this!?"

"Wedge, hitting your head off a tree is not going to help. You just need to practice. Come on over here and--"

She never got a chance to finish, as in the sky above them, a rift opened up, and began drawing in everything in the surrounding area that wasn't rooted to the ground, including Wedge.

"Woah! What's happening!?" he shouted as he floated up toward the swirling rift, trying to grab hold of something to stop himself.

"Hang on!" Vanessa shouted, dashing over to the tree and running straight up the side in a flash, hanging onto the crest of the tree as she reached out for Wedge's hand. "Here! Grab this!" she said as she pulled out the Katana no Kazeken, holding the handle out to him to extend her reach.

His hand just barely grabbed hold of the hilt, and he stopped in midair, hanging on for dear life. With a metallic *chink!*, the sword's guard ring slipped free, and slowly the blade began sliding out of the sheath, allowing Wedge to keep floating upward into the rift.

"Wedge!" Vanessa cried as he was sucked into the swirling vortex, sword and all, closing the moment he disappeared.

The battle begun as both sides were skilled in combat and in magic, but they were more diverse. The citizens had both long range and close rage weaponry, and possessed different forms of anima magic, but it didn't bother Nightshade. He swung his sword offensively and brought it close to him when someone shot from their rifle of crossbow.

"Oh, your disappointing me..." Nightshade whined before getting caught by some vines.

He looked over to find one at a distance chanting something in their native language. Nightshade was about to attack, but he felt a stream of fire from behind him. They were bombarding him with magic. Nightshade did his best to block whatever magic found his way toward him, but a lot was little avail. He felt a surge of electricity course through his body, brining him down to his knees.

One of them took a few steps forward, "Leave this land outsiders, and take everyone with you."

Nightshade saw the archer and rifleman posed to fire, and at every side, everyone else armed with different weaponry. He couldn't help, but laugh at the situation he was in.

"I guess I have no choice...."

He took a step and a half back the way he came, but was still caught by one of the vines. His kept his face hidden from view at all times as he was tugging his foot free. Serenity never took his eyes off Nightshade, who seemed to be chuckling on the inside. She squinted her eyes to get a better look at his face. He turned toward Serenity's for a moment, and there it was, a small tear of blood flowing down his face. His psychotic expression changed back into a series one as he turned back.

"Hell's Reality!" she gasped, "Get out of here now!!"

They looked at her as a mild annoyance. They didn't care about the pleas of a young woman, especially an outsider.

She had to think fast. Nightshade's energy was quickly building, and she didn't want those who tried to help her. Even if it didn't seem like it, but what could see do? She was without her primary weapon. She scanned everyone, looking for a spare, when she noticed one bearing a sword. She needed to act quick, so she ran with all her might. Nightshade was buying his time through as his Demon Vengeance began to leak the energy it was being given. As it fell, it burned the ground before disappearing.

They were quickly growing impatient, "What's taking you so long?"

Nightshade had to think about it, "I don't know how to leave. "

"That's none of our concern." they quickly replied back.

He saw the sword flash for a moment. It's complete....

He raised his sword, "well then, I'll make it yourss!! Hell's Reality!!"

Serenity took their shock to her advantage as she grasped the unsuspecting citizen's sword and charge straight t Nightshade.

I hope this works....

She felt her light energy being transferred into the sword, but it began to burn her hands. She held in her pain as she continued forward. Nightshade, who was already at hid swing, noticed Serenity running with sword at hand.

"Is that....no!"

Serenity watched as the sword couldn't hold the energy it was being given as it crack in various places. She was worried of the outcome, but it had to have been better that what could have happened it she didn't intervene. The archers saw both and fired, while the rifleman followed. Their swords clashed at the center, as the energy poured out like a fire, covering the two of them.

"Please leave" she pleaded once again, but they watched them in astonishment.

At that moment, the sword shattered.

No....

The light energy flowed out at one moment, completely consuming both Nightshade and herself in the white energy....

"What is this?" Erus peered at the floating arrow.
"It's umm..." He Mannis wasn't sure how to explain it without revealing his objective. Fortunately, he didn't have to; the arrow spun around and up, and a scream eminated from outside. Mannis and Erus dashed outside and look up, spotting another portal. A stream of particles ran like oil into the ground, which moved out of the way to make room for the arrival. As the traveler materialized, It was apparant that he was buried up to his neck. Erus shouted for help, and several villagers began to gather shovels and pickaxes.
"Wait," Mannis called out, "Stop, I'll do it!"
"How?" Erus asked, "You can't dig him out yourself."
"I don't have to," Mannis glared at the spot where the hedge-hog was trapped, and small water spheres gathered around that spot and turned the ground into runny mud. Two of the villagers rushed to pull him out, and then carried the half conscious hedge-hog to their infirmary.
Erus turned and faced him, "you did that?" His expression changed and he laughed heartily. "You can trust me, and don't worry about that boy, Gorbis will take good care of him." He led Mannis back into his house.

Wedge blinked, holding his head in pain where he had landed, a bruise forming.

“Oh, man, what happened?”

He looked around the unfamiliar surroundings, trying to make sense of it all. He was laying in bed in some sort of infirmary. Suddenly, Wedge realized that he was no longer holding the Katana no Kazeken.

“Oh crap! Mom and dad’s sword!” he shouted, frantically searching for the blade.

After a few minutes of fruitless searching, Wedge slumped to the floor, falling to his knees.

“Man, this day just keeps getting worse! Where am I anyway?”

An idea suddenly occurred to him, and he reached into his pocket, pulling out his cellular phone, emblazoned with a small rocket-shaped logo. He flipped it open and navigated the menu until he reached the built-in GPS screen. Surely that would give him a clue where he was.

Wedge’s smile dropped flat when he saw what displayed on the screen in bold red letters: “GPS signal lost; unable to determine location.”

“Great, just peachy…”

He suddenly heard footsteps, and a furry dressed in hospital wear came in, carrying a clipboard.

“Oh, you’re up! You’re pretty lucky, you know. If it hadn’t been for that stranger, you’d likely still be buried neck-deep in the ground.”

“Excuse me, but where am I?”

“Ah, that’s right, you’re from that other world. Perhaps you should go to Erus, he’ll explain everything better than I could.”

Wedge nodded and stood up, then walked to the door. Just as he was about to leave, he spun on his heel and said, “Uh… wait, where’s this Erus guy live, anyway?”

-----

“Excuse me? Anyone home?”

Wedge leaned in the door to Erus’s house, knocking lightly to announce his presence.

“Ah, it’s you! I was just about to question Gorbis about your condition. But it would seem you’re alright, I suppose. Please, come in, I’m sure you have a lot of questions.”

Wedge looked around as he sat down in the chair that Erus had gotten for him. It was far removed from anything he’d seen back home, that was for certain. Across from him at the table was a human, the first he’d seen since coming to this strange new place.

“So what’s your name?” he asked.

“Wedge. Wedge Skyrocket.”

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." Serenity kept apologizing as she helped the rifleman and archer carry the others that were caught in the blast.

Although she caught most of the blast, she had built more of an immunity since she had been caught in so many more misfires before. She looked at her clothing, everything was slightly singed and smoked slightly. The archer and rifleman were the only ones untouched by it's fairly large blast radius.

They were amazed by what they just seen, "How....did you used such divine magic?"

Serenity didn't quite understand, "You mean that back there. For as long as I can remember I could. Why?"

They looked at each other before speaking, "Only great or wise people could use divine magic...you must be a great or wise person to use it at that extent."

She was shocked, "Me? Great? Wise? I'm not...really, I'm not. I'm just a normal girl trying to get a grip of her gifts."

She smiled half-heartedly as they arrived at a somewhat worn fort. From what she could see, there life ran normally. Several of his comrades raced out to help, wondering what had happened.

"What happened?" asked one of the gate watchers.

"When we were coming back, we found an outsider, and was assisted by this young woman."

They were skeptical by her appearance as someone who could help.

The archer scolded him, "This young woman has a great power inside her. Move aside, we have to tend to the injured."

They let the three pass through and pointed out the infirmary. From the corner of Serenity's eye, she spotted something familiar. On the back of a shady looking character, stood her Jinsei Staff, while he proudly held a sword in his hand, examining its quality.

"That's....hey you!! That's mine!!" she yelled.

He looked back to find an angry Serenity, and took off.

"We'll deal with him later, we need to tend to them first." replied the archer.

Serenity let out a small whine and continued down their path.

Inside, they arrived in time, but it was nothing fatal. They had light burns, but were in good condition.

The archer was relieved to hear that, and turned to Serenity, I'm Hidalgo, and now, let's turn to the dealer who has your staff."

Serenity was excited and ran out in glee, hoping to finally reunite with her cherished weapon.

"Look...i dont mean any harm...."

A bullet whizzed past Giga's head.

"We've seen your type around here, get out otherlander, or this next one will hit" The hedgehog said, cocking the gun for another shot.

"Grampa, grampa dont hurt this man, he gave us these neat toys, he didnt hurt us at all, he isnt like that other guy wearing the cape" One of the boys from before said, tugging on his shirt. The hedgehog looked down at his grandson, and looked back up at the man, who still had his hands up. The grandfather then lowered his gun, sighing.

"Shayne's right everyone...if he was like the other... he would have used his magic to make a blade come from his hands..." The hedgehog said, they all lowered their guns slowly

"Wait...magic what do you mean?" Giga asked quickly, lowering his hands.

"Come to my house, ill explain more inside" The hedgehog said, walking toward the closest house, Giga followed in, wanting some answers.

----------

"We know that many of our villagers have been disappearing as of late, and also strange buildings are appearing all over this world according to the travelers who pass through our village..." The hedgehog began pushing a glass of tea toward Giga. Giga took it and sipped on it, not wanting to be impolite.

"We didnt think too much of it, because nothing too horrible had happened yet, until the otherlander came into the village." The Hedgehog continued. "He looked a lot like yourself, except for his face was covered under a hood and he didnt give anyone a chance to talk to him.....thirty of the villagers were killed...all the ones who stood in his way"

"Stryker....that son of a...." Giga's eyes widened as he said this, the hedgehog then raised a eyebrow.

"You know of him?" The hedgehog asked skeptically, reaching once more for his gun.

"Daniel Stryker, he WAS in my unit, but he was discharged because he killed everything that got near him, including the Hostages we were trying to save...he and i have nothing in common except for the suits we wear are similar...mine being a little less advanced..." Giga explained, trying not to break the cup "if i see him i will bring him to justice, i swear this"

"....good....say i never catched your name Otherlander" The hedgehog asked, not reaching for the gun anymore, seeing that Giga had a noble heart.

"Just call me Giga" Giga said, not wanting to give out too much information yet.

"Well Giga, my name is Drake, and I am the mayor of this village" Drake said holding his hand out to Giga, Giga took his hand and shook it. "You are welcome here as long as you help defend it, i have seen the things that the suit can do...if you are half as good as this "Stryker" was with it, our village will be safe from anything else"

"I guess...tell me have you seen any other Otherlanders" Giga asked, hoping to find a lead on the whereabouts of the sabatour who started this mess.

"No...only the "Stryker" fellow came to Alden.....thats the name of the village" Drake explained and Giga nodded. "You can stay here for now, the guest room is the second to the right upstairs.

------------

<Later that night>

Giga layed down onto the King sized bed, just thinking.

"If Stryker is here then i definately have to be on guard.... i just wish i could find a lead on who caused this mess...it seems like he frigging disappeared into the wind when the insident happened.....well theirs no sense in trying to head out prematurely, i might as well stay in Alden and ask any travelers who might know something...."

Giga then blowed out the lamp and slowly closed his eyes, trying to sleep.

"Are you certain we should be going this way?"
Mannis looked over his shoulder, "Yes, Wedge, unless you want to swim into a water purification plant."
Wedge looked at him quizzically, "but that compass of yours pointed the other way,"
"The crystal compass points toward the artifact your looking for, It doesn't recommend the best route. We're lucky that it can be reprogrammed to find your sword,"
"How do you know that there's a purification plant?"
"I'm a water elemental, remember?" He aswered as they continued through the forest, "I can tell where water is, and a good thing to,"

Mannis watched as the crystal compass began to glow, this time, a bright yellow. "Looks like were close!" As they came out of the brush, they spotted a human with a close-cut, military sytle hair cut, a large rifle in one hand, and a curved sword in the other.
The crystal compass was pointed strait at the sword in the rough human's hand. "Hey, that's mine!" Wedge shouted once he saw the sword.
The man spun around, "Yours? I don't believe you!" He scoffed, "How would a furry possibly get their hands on a sword like this?"
Mannis put the compass away, "The sword is his. He came through a portal,"
The man's eyes widened, "Well then, as a (ex)military officer, It's my duty to kill you!"

“Kill me? Whoa, hold on, I don’t want any trouble,” Wedge said, holding his hands up as the man took aim at him.

“Too bad. You found it.”

*BANG*

The shot whizzed past Wedge’s head as he took a step to the side, barely dodging the bullet. At once, he slumped forward in exhaustion. Even such a small movement, when done at such a high speed, took large amounts of chakra; his chakra control wasn’t as advanced as it could be, either, which didn’t help matters.

“Okay… ha… that’s not funny… ha…” he said, breathing hard.

“You dodged a bullet,” Mannis said flatly, in disbelief. “You’re either very lucky, or much faster than you look.”

Wedge smiled and said, “A little of both, I think…” Recovering his breath, he looked back up as the man loaded another shot into the rifle’s chamber, his finger on the trigger. “Alright, if that’s how you want to play, fine by me!”

“This one won’t miss!” he said, squeezing the trigger just as Wedge rushed forward to confront him. And he was partially right—the bullet did hit him, just not where he was aiming. Wedge stumbled forward and rolled to the ground as a dark red trickle of blood began to seep from the bullet hole in his left shoulder.

“Ah, jeez! All over my shirt, too! Blood doesn’t come out of white, you know!” Wedge shouted, standing up and grimacing in pain. Shaking it off, at least for the time being, Wedge ran forward again, diving into a ball and rolling around behind the man. With a spin, he popped up into the air and kicked the man in the back of the head, knocking him out. Wedge quickly retrieved his sword, and for good measure, took the rifle away from the man as well.

“Well that settles that,” he said, walking over to Mannis, pressing a palm into his wound to staunch the flow. “But what do we do about him?”

“More importantly, we need to get that wound dressed before it gets infected. And that was perhaps one of the most reckless things I’ve ever had the displeasure of watching someone do.”

Wedge smiled and shrugged, then recoiled as a spike of pain ran through his shoulder.

“Oops?”
