come on get higher loosen my lipsfaith and desire in the swing of your hips
It had been a relatively normal day for Vic. She took David to kindergarden and spent the hours while he was there running after her other two little ones. Oliver was at work, as per usual and before she knew it the time had rolled around for her to start thinking about dinner. She set Victor and Abigail down for their naps, hoping Abi would actually sleep this time around so she could think about dinner. David was still at daycare - Ol was supposed to be picking him up on the way home from work which was to be in the next half hour. Vic grabbed one of the recipe books sitting on the kitchen counter and slumped down on the couch ready to flip through and find something to cook for dinner without having to go out for groceries.

Page after page, recipe after recipe, nothing was really jumping out at her. With kids as young as hers, it was difficult to try new things. In the end, Vic just closed the recipe book she so wished would magically prepare the meals for her and just decided on lasagne. It was simple, the kids and Ol loved it and she could mash it up for Abi. With a sigh, she pulled herself up off the couch and was bustling about the kitchen trying to find the white sauce when she heard Abi start crying. Right on schedule. Vic figured she would give her a few minutes to let it out before checking on her, so she continued her search for the white sauce.

Gathering her ingredients on the bench, a look at the clock on the wall told her that Ol and David were due back from kindy. The baby's cries digging deep into her ears, Vic made her way to the nursery to tend to her youngest, unable to suppress the tinge of worry that always went through her when Oliver wasn't back on the dot of time.

Give my life for you
By now you'd know that I'd come for you
No one but you, yes I'd come for you
But only if you told me to
And I'd fight for you
Oliver’s job used to be working nights with the bar but since he promoted one of the employees up to manager, he was able to get dinnertime with his wife and family. He loved his family; he will do anything for them. He literally had to leave the old life of crime behind for his kids. He was finishing up some scheduling for the bar, when he realized he had to be leaving to pick up David. Closing his laptop and throwing it all in the bag that he brought today, he told everyone that he will email the schedule tonight for it to be printed out and on that note he was out of there.

Driving in the truck, Oliver couldn’t help but notice how the clock seemed to be running faster than normal. Was he getting old, he thought or was he just too busy to realize the time? Probably the later, he thought as he parked the truck at the day care and took a deep breath. He smelled like beer not good when you are picking up your kid. He took off his shirt and changed it into a tee shirt and then sprayed a little of his cologne on himself to mask the beer smell. Earlier in the day, one of the draft pipes broke and the beer got everywhere luckily though it could be fixed before opening for the night.

Once he thought he smelled normal, he walked into the place where so many of the kids were busy running around and yelling being kids. He walked up to the teacher or the person in charged and told her that he was here for David. She asked him to follow him to the back where David was in a change of clothes as there was an accident earlier in the day where some kid sprayed him with a juice box thing. He sighed as he looked down at the boy. Oliver picked up his son and brushed his hair off to the side. He told the lady thank you and that he would have the clothes dropped off tomorrow. David wrapped an arm around his dad’s neck and laid his head down. Well, Oliver thought, your mom will be glad to see you tired.

In the truck, Oliver looked at himself and saw he had a change of clothes and his son had a change of clothes… he thought like father like son. David was out in the truck completely passed out. Oliver saw this a good time to stop buy and pick up some dessert and flowers for his lovely wife Vic. He never really appreciated her that much and he wanted to change that. So he was planning on doing that. Something a coworker said earlier today on how men didn’t care much about their women… He wanted to make sure that Vic knew he appreciated and loved her so. He picked up her favorite flowers and her favorite dessert and a bottle of wine for her.

Getting back in the truck quickly, he saw David still asleep and then the clock glared at him. He was going to be on the shit list when he got home hopefully these would change her mind. He thought as he drove home. David started to wake up some, as they got closer to their home. Oliver had bought the house about two years ago as a way to show his commitment to Vic. Parking the truck; Oliver grabbed everything and picked up David who fought him to put him on the ground. Oliver sighed and let the boy down who ran straight to the door and ran into the house. David was calling out for his mom.

Oliver shook his head as he grabbed the wine, flowers, and dessert. He walked away from the truck after locking it up and then walked into the house expecting Vic to blow up on him for one being late and for two not keeping David quiet as Abi was probably sleeping… Key word was not anymore.

"Shhh...it's alright, baby. Shh now..." Vic bounced Abi gently as she soothed the child's woes, holding her little head into her collarbone. "What's the matter, huh?" Her diaper probably needed changing. A quick sniff in that general direction told Vic she was right on the nose. She carried the infant over to the changing table and began to clean Abi up. From all the crying in her ear Vic hadn't heard the truck roll up so her first indication that her eldest and her husband were home safe was David running through the house shouting for her. Vic couldn't help a smile spread across her face as she turned her head to see her son appear in the doorway, a wide grin on his face. He ran up and hugged her legs and Vic laughed. "Hey, Kiddo! What'd you do today? I wanna hear all about it."

Vic finished up with Abi as she listened to David's hurried and excited recap of the days events. The first thing he always did when he got home for kindy was run and tell the nearest parent what had happened. Today it was Vic. Vic could see Abi nodding off again now, whether it was the sound of her brother's voice or just that she was comfortable again was hard to determine. Vic welcomed the silence either way. She gently placed Abi back in the crib, put her finger to her lips with a wink at David and scooted him out of the nursery, all the while still recapping his daily events, just at a whisper.

David grabbed her hand and guided her to the kitchen while he continued his news segment. There was Oliver. Vic smiled a little, and concentrated more on listening and being part of David's verbal diary. Nodding and making comments in all the right places, David finally finished and announced that he was going to go play outside. Vic watched him run out the door and waited a few moments before turning to greet her husband. "Hey. Busy day?"

Give my life for you
By now you'd know that I'd come for you
No one but you, yes I'd come for you
But only if you told me to
And I'd fight for you
Oliver entered the warm and loving house and he can hear David’s little feet running to his mom. He loved what Vic had done to the house. The feeling of love seemed to be embraced throughout the house as one would walk through it and he knew that it was because of her. He sighed as he walked to the kitchen and knew that he needed to start loving her more and showing how much he appreciated her more. He walked to the kitchen sink and began to wash his hands from the pollen from the flowers. He then grabbed a vase and filled it with water. Grabbing the flowers, he cut the stems and put them in the vase for his wife.

Wow, sometimes that still got to him hearing him say wife was something big. He honestly never pictured himself as getting married. If you had asked him when he was 17 where he would end up this would not be where he thought life would be like. Oliver never got a diploma from high school, instead he has a GED. He was in the life of crime and he was already part of the motorcycle club but not completely patched in so he didn’t have any ink about the club or a cut from the club. When he was 17 he figured he would be either in jail right now or he would be doing some sort of illegal activity. 17-year-old Oliver had no idea he would become a business owner and settle down.

Hearing the footsteps of David and Vic, brought Oliver back to the present where he set the bottle of wine in the fridge. He knew how much she loved her wine so he wanted to make sure she had more wine tonight. Oliver smiled some as he watched his Vic and David chatter and talk about their day. He chuckled as he watched him take off out the door.

“Oh I see how it is! No love for the dad!” He said with a smile and a shake of his head as he watched David run outside. Oliver grabbed the door and made sure it was shut so it didn’t blow open from the wind. He turned and reached over to his beautiful hot amazing wife and kissed her on the lips with his hands on her hips after she spoke to him.

“A little busy… Training an employee to be a manager so I can have more nights alone with you…” He said in a low whisper as he kissed the side of her neck bringing her closer in an embrace. He missed her a lot lately. He was not sure why but for some reason he did. He was thinking that it was going to be time to plan a vacation for just the two of them soon. Maybe Rae could watch the kids, he didn’t know at the time.

“How was your day?” He said with a smile as he let go of the embrace and brushed some hair out of her face so he can see her eyes again.

Vic felt that familiar tinge that fluttered in her chest every time Oliver touched her and found herself welcoming it when she was expecting herself to reject it. He kissed her softly on the lips and Vic returned just as soft, unable to stop the small smile shaping her lips. As he moved down to her neck, his breath warm as he spoke about his day, Vic let out an involuntary sigh as she thought about pushing him away. She didn't know why she did that sometimes. Well actually she did, but she wasn't about to admit to herself why. She had buried the reason deep down inside her, hopefully never to be brought to the surface again. She didn't have to stop it in the end; he gently released her and brushed her hair away from her face.

Vic walked away from him then, over to the kitchen bench to start preparing dinner again. She had almost forgotten the mass of ingredients waiting to be prepped. She spotted the flowers in the vase and paused. Where did they come from? Was it Oliver? She looked from the flowers back at her husband for a moment, and then continued on to what she was doing. "It was alright. Victor and Abi were the normal amount of a handful. Didn't really have much time to myself today. It's a wine night, for sure..." She said the last part more to herself than to Oliver, but she knew he had heard her anyway. She somehow felt she was being ungrateful with that comment, so she quickly redeemed herself. "Well, there is no wine left at the moment so I guess I'll just have to make the most of it with the kids."she said with a smile. She didn't even know how genuine it was.

Vic lingered as she locked eyes with Oliver for a moment, just a moment, before commencing on vegetable chopping. The moment she looked away she had forgotten what thoughts were running through her head in that moment.

Give my life for you

He was a little shocked that she didn’t push him away this time. Maybe she was finally starting to get over their separation and is ready to be them again or so he thought. His hazel eyes were watching her as she moved. It seemed like something was bothering her or maybe something was not right. He looked down at his hands that were open and empty.

A smile formed on his face as he saw her go back and forth between the food and the flowers. He had bought them hoping to make her happy and smile. But his smile slowly dissolved as his eyes watched more carefully. Everything in this moment was going not the way he had planned. He thought he could make her day with the flowers and then see that smile he missed so much reappear on her face like it used to when he bought her flowers in the past.

The words that she was saying seemed to not make it to his ears at all. He was just caught up in the moment of hoping that they were actually all right. Every night he tells himself in his head that everything will be back to normal that it will change back. But so far it seemed more like they were just playing house then actually fixing anything.

“I bought a bot-…” He said as he watched her and then decided it wasn’t even worth saying anything. Now he was getting a little upset. Was his wife turning into an alcoholic? He thought as he shook his head and opened the fridge door up. He grabbed the bottle. Yeah so much for this 50 dollar present, he thought as he walked over to her. He set the bottle down on the counter and took one more look at her before he walked toward the back door.

Normally he didn’t get this emotional but the simple fact that he really tried to do good by her and he went out of his way to the store to get the flowers and the wine and the dessert… Yet, he felt like this wasn’t enough… This house, her cushioned life of no worries. He shook his head as it began to quickly fill with thoughts that seemed to make him angrier.

He turned and looked at her one more time debating on whether or not he wanted to say something. To tell her that if she wasn’t happy to say something. He didn’t know what he could do to make her happy. With his hand on the door, he looked down at the ring that was on his hand. Did this mean anything? His eye shot back at her as he took a deep breath.

“I bought the flowers for you to make you smile… I bought the wine to make you relax and I bought you dessert to give you a sweet thing… I gave you every-“ He stopped as he shook his head. His eyes drifted out the window to his oldest boy that is outside playing on the swing set that he built with his brother.

The knife in Vic's hand steadily and precisely chopped under her control. Chop. Chop. Chop. She could feel Oliver's looks. They burned into her like an iron poker. It was all she could do to avoid meeting his gaze. She didn't look at the flowers. They were her favorite, and he knew that. Vic wanted to be happy, to smell them and smile and kiss Oliver and hold him. Oh, she wanted to, but she couldn't bring herself to. But if this was going to work, despite everything that has happened since their separation, she had to make an effort. God knew she was trying, maybe not hard enough. She heard Ol begin to say something and stop, causing her to pause her food preparation. She stared at the half cut up onion on the board in front of her and waited. She only resumed her work when he moved.

Next thing she knew, with a loud thunk appeared a bottle of wine. Very expensive wine. Her favorite wine. Oliver's presence was strong and Vic wanted to match it but felt only like cowering in it. She looked up then, the process of making dinner lost to her. The look on his face made her lower her gaze again, this time back to the flowers and the bottle of wine. She watched him walk away, toward the back door. He turned to her then, a look of deep hurt, anger and maybe a bit of hopelessness in his eyes and she held his gaze. She knew why he bought her all these things, but to have him say it, to express himself like this, Vic couldn't take it any longer. He didn't deserve this. He was trying. It was Vic who needed to try harder. Try harder or leave. Leaving wasn't an option, at least as far as the kids were concerned. She never wanted them to grow up in a broken home, and that was a big part of the reason why they decided to get back together, but what had Vic done since then to try and make things better?

Vic released the knife and placed in on the chopping board, wiped her hands on a tea towel and slowly walked over to where he stood at the back door, watching David play outside. She stood by him, looking at him initially before looking out at David herself. The sight of him reminded her why this was hard for her. But unless she wanted to hurt everyone she loved, she would have to learn to forget what she knows about David and what happened during that time her and Oliver were separated. Because if she couldn't forget, then everyone would find out eventually. She had to convince herself that he was Oliver's if this was ever going to work. She had to. "I know you are trying. I can see how hard you are trying. I'm the one who is being unfair to you and I need to make more of an effort, like you did today." She turned to face him. "Thank you for the flowers and the wine. They are absolutely beautiful and they do make me want to smile." Vic stepped toward him and slipped her arms around his waist, resting her head on his chest in a close embrace. "I'm sorry I've been so unfair to you."

“Then why don’t you smile?” He asked as his arms slowly wrapped around her. He kissed the top of her head. Anyone from Oliver’s past would tell you that he was never this loving and caring and cuddling. The young Oliver was very distance with trust issues and didn’t show any emotions but now here he was the complete opposite because of how much love his wife gave him. But as of lately it felt like that love was gone or locked away. He was not sure what had happened but ever since the separation his wife was not really here. This Vic was not the one that he was used to or even really knew.

Did something happen during that time away? Was there something that happened that took her innocent loving fun away? He was not sure but he wondered maybe she fell out of love with him when he left her to be a better man for her. He left her after getting shot. He left the motorcycle gang before being an actual member and then went to Santa Cruz to try to piece himself together for her. Something he has never done. He did rehab and AA meetings. He even went to therapy. But here he was years later and they were not happy. He was trying his ass off and for what to have her basically tell him to go away because this wasn’t enough. The house wasn’t enough or she didn’t get enough. Something wasn’t enough and he knew it but he didn’t know how to address it. Maybe it was the simple fact that they were drunk and got married in Vegas. Maybe they should start over and live in different places and do it all over again. Date again and get remarried again?

“Do you want us to work out? I want you to be happy so what can we do to make you happy?” He asked her, as he looked help onto her a little longer. The thing that really made him curious was it seemed like once they got together all her ambition and dreams and everything went away. It was almost like he had killed her but how could that have happened. He wanted to do whatever it took to make this family right. He wanted to do whatever possible to hold it together. At least that is what he thought. Maybe he should just go away for the weekend and let her think about what she really wanted because something had to change. Maybe they should go to therapy… no, therapy would not work, Oliver thought for a moment.

It would make sense for him to go away for the weekend since he has to get ready for the big St Patty’s day events that were coming up. He had landed a contract with the city to be one of the beer suppliers for the music festival. SO he might as well get everything ready for that. He needed to go and grab the new shirts and aprons he made up for this holiday. St Patrick’s day for bars and beer business was huge for his business. He needed to train the staff how to work the event and then he needed to make sure his staff knew how to handle the actual bar during the night too. He needed to hire extra security to do checks on ids. Maybe he should just leave for the weekend or until St Patrick’s Day to help get everything prepped and ready to go. Honestly he shouldn’t have even came home tonight, he should have stayed to help out and work on everything.

Vic was about to stubbornly protest and insist that she did smile, all the time, ask the kids, but she knew what he meant – she didn’t smile at him nearly as much as she smiled at the kids anymore. She wants to, all the time. Vic wants everything to be just as it was before the separation, only without the reasons why they got separated in the first place. If they hadn’t separated, maybe certain things in that time wouldn’t have happened. Vic knew hindsight was a glorious thing, but it only tortured her to think what could have been or how things could have been different, whether she would have gone through with it or not, but when it all comes down to it, she feels like it would have happened, regardless of their situation. It’s an unfortunate thing to admit, but she did feel like that. It doesn’t excuse what happened, nor does it condone it. It just makes it so.

Vic let Ol wrap his arms around her and embrace her. She closed her eyes and breathed in the familiar scent of his aftershave mixing with the work smells of alcohol and bar food. They stood like that for a while and it was nice. Next thing Vic knows Oliver is asking what he can do to make her happy, because apparently if this was going to work, she had to be happy. Vic hated that he felt like the only way this was going to happen was if he worked his arse off just to make her somewhat happy. She pulled away and looked up at him. ”If we are going to try and make this work, it needs to be two ways. We need to make each other happy. It won’t work if it’s any other way because you will end up resenting me. So, if we are gonna try this, and I do want to try this, then we both need to work to make one another happy, okay?” She thought for a moment, letting out a sigh before saying, ”I know I seem unhappy, but I’m really not that unhappy. We have three beautiful children, we have been back together for a while now and though we still have some things to work out, well, all I can say to that is who doesn’t? This is what marriage is. Communicating, compromising. “

Vic could see something calculating inside Oliver’s head and pulled away a little. ”What are you thinking? Do you get what I’m saying about all this?”

“Communicating!” he thought as he looked at her. This was complete utter bullshit, he thought as he tried to collect his thoughts. He took a few steps away and shook his head. He had been communicating. He does nothing but communicate and try with her. This is the time that Vic needed to realize that she needed to pick it up with the making things better. How long can this last? He thought to himself. He ran a hand through his hair as he looked out the window. Do not explode here… Do not explode right now… He thought to himself as he took a deep breath.

When she spoke again though, his head snapped back over to her and he shook his head as he looked at her. He could not believe this. His hand clenched together and made a fist as he walked away from the back door and then to the doorframe. This was not happening. What she is saying could not be happening. In Oliver’s mind, she was still blaming this all on her. He could not believe that she was blaming this on him. All the crap he was doing for her and this was what she thought?

“Communicating.. You want communication more? I call you all the time. I talk to you all the time… Do you not realize that it is you that is checking out on me? When I am standing here I do not feel welcomed Vic.” He said as he turned and looked over at her. His eyes kept darting from her eyes to her hands. This was not the time for it. He bites down on his bottom lip as he shook his head at her. Why was he even here? What was the point in all of this?

“Do you want me here… Do you want me to sleep in the guest room? Do you want me to get a small apartment?” He asked her as he walked back closer to her. “Tell me what you want me to do. Because every time I am here… I bring you gifts home and you don’t see that I am trying… I am happy I have been happy… Do you want me to leave would that make you happy?” His voice was starting to slowly get louder the more he thought about all of this. The more his mind seemed to race and think that he was over reacting. He knew that he wasn’t. How could he be over reacting when every single time he goes out of his way to make her smile just smile, she doesn’t even acknowledge his effort. No matter, what he felt like he was being compared to someone.

All this time with asking his waitresses what girls their age wanted… All that time researching and snooping around trying to figure her out and all this was for what. For his wife to say oh thanks but this isn’t enough. I need more of this and that, according to her. He did not get it. He did know though that his anger was building and building rapidly fast the longer he was in this kitchen in this house with her.

Oliver exclaimed and Vic recoiled. What she had said hadn't meant to upset him so. Vic's face contort against his sudden rage. She watched his face and his body language carefully. It was clear he was extremely upset and was trying hard not to let it all go and lash out, but Vic couldn't understand why to the full extent. When she had brought up communication and compromise, she had meant that it was time for her to start communicating and compromising for once, instead of him all the time, but obviously he thought it was a stab at him again and she didn't know what to do or say.

Vic let him go on. The guilt was building more now. Everything he said she knew already in herself. And she had tried to calm him, to tell him that she knew how he felt and that she knew what she was doing wrong and how she was going to fix it, but he had misunderstood. Now what? To make matters worse, he started demanding to know whether she even wanted him here, in their house, with their kids. Vic was hurt and taken aback. She tried not to show it too much but there was only so much she could conceal. He came closer and Vic went with her gut, hoping to just calm him and get him to actually listen to her. She couldn't handle another outburst like that.

"Ol... I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. That is not how I feel at all! I don't want you to leave! I want you here, with me, with the kids. Here..." She carefully brought her hand up to caress his cheek gently, staring into his eyes, pleading for understanding. "I didn't mean to say you weren't communicating. I meant to say that I haven't been communicating enough. It's just like you say. You work so hard for this family and come home with gifts and love for me and I haven't made my appreciation of those things very clear at all. And I am so sorry." She paused, still searching his eyes for some kind of recognition of calm, of understanding. Too afraid to wait any longer for it, she leaned in, wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his chest.

She didn't want him to leave. Ever. She loved him. Despite what they had both done in the past, particularly Vic, she had always loved him and still does. Vic could survive without him for a time she supposed but she certainly didn't want to do that ever again. Last time was a mistake. Having a break was a mistake. Last time they should have sat down and talked about it and tried to figure it out. They should never have separated in the first place. Vic wasn't about to let it happen again so easily. She would fight.

Give my life for you
By now you'd know that I'd come for you
No one but you, yes I'd come for you
But only if you told me to
And I'd fight for you
He took a deep breath as he saw her deflate and look very hurt. Now he knew that he had gone too far. Maybe he had over reacted. He had been so stressed with the bar and making sure they are doing well. The bar wasn’t doing all that good. Since the economy was done so was his business. Then with St. Patrick’s Day he was hoping it would help turn things around.

Her hand on his cheek made him close his eyes for a moment and then look her straight in the eye. Things had to change. They couldn’t keep being this way. This marriage wouldn’t last if they kept going doing this same path. His mind began to relax and unwind. It was as if her hand was able to take his nerves that were scrunched up like a dried washcloth and straighten it out so it was smooth and straight again.

Oliver forced a small smile on his face when she said that she appreciated all the things that he has done for her. He just wanted her to be happy that is all he ever wanted for her. But maybe he couldn’t fix that for her. Maybe he wasn’t able to make all her problems go away. Maybe he was only supposed to be here to help her support her not go around fixing her with glue and hope the mold stays like a porcelain doll.

“I am sorry for the outburst.” He said softly as his arms wrapped around her tiny frame. He loved this small blonde so much he wasn’t too sure what he would do without her. He needed her just like he needed his kids. He loved everything about his life. He changed his life for them. He changed this life for them to be happy. In short, Oliver was afraid that if he didn’t hold on to it then it would all go away but at the same time now he was starting to think he was holding onto it too much.

“How about in June for our anniversary, we leave the kids at Rae’s and we go to the coast. We can rent a cabin for a week or weekend and just spend time with one another.” He said as spoke softly into her blonde hair. One of his hands moved slowly down her back. Leaning back some, so he can look at her face to see her. One of his hands that were a tad rough reached up and brushed some of her hair out of the sweet angelic face that she had. That hand grazed across her cheek to her chin to raise it up some. His thoughts just went away and nothing else seemed to really matter but them right now.

The green blue eyes that he had bounced at her eyes watching her carefully hoping that she would be thrilled about the idea that he had just mentioned. Hopefully the time together would help them rekindle their fire that they once had for each other. Help them reconnect where they couldn’t keep their hands off of each like in the past when they were so young.

Slowly, he leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips. He didn’t want to be demanding but he wanted to see how she felt and let her guide this kiss.

come on get higher loosen my lipsfaith and desire in the swing of your hips
The recognition was there in his eyes and he slowly began to let the anger flow out of him so by the time she had her arms around him she could still feel his muscles loosening up. She sighed into his chest when he, too, wrapped his arms around her in response. He had accepted her, heard her. He had listened. Vic and Ol stood there for a few moments, just with each other, Vic's eyes closed as she listened to his heart rate return to something normal. He brought his hand under her chin and forced her head up to look at him again. She smiled, happy to see him.

June was a while away yet, seeing at it was only March, but it was their anniversary and when better to get away just the two of them? She just worried it was too long a wait. She wanted to be alone with him now. Sooner rather than later, though it shouldn't really matter. They were married and technically they had the rest of their lives. "I think that sounds like a fantastic idea. I would love to." She didn't want to think about the technicalities of what this would actually entail. She would have to speak to Rae and organise everything. She wanted to enjoy the thought before it became another job on the list.

Oliver went in for a gentle kiss, and Vic responded. Moments passed as their lips interlocked, finding each other and moving as one, gently and sensually. It was Vic who pulled away, a small bashful smile on her face. "I should get back to make dinner. The kids will come back and demand to know where their food is" She chuckled, still smiling up at him. "Not to mention, I'm sure you are hungrier than you like to admit."

“What….” He said with a smile as he leaned in and kissed her on the cheek and then moved closer to her ear. Maybe he was hungry but that wasn’t what was on his mind right now. It for sure what was not on his mind right now? Right now all he wanted was to spend some time with his lovely wife whom he never really gets to see. His nose brushed against her ear as he kissed her slowly closer to her ear.

“You act like you know me or something.” He chuckled to her softly as he wrapped his arms around her waist and brought her even closer. He was going to nibble her on the neck until they heard a distant cry from the other end of the house. Oliver stayed still frozen in fear and dread of that little tiny infant cry. He loved his baby but at the same time all he wanted was to relax and spend some time with his wife.

A deep breath filled his body as he closed his eyes and pushed Vic away. He shook his head and then sighed as he looked over at Vic. He noticed that the boys were still outside playing and dinner wasn’t done yet. He was not completely sure what he could do but he figured that the baby needed to be taking care of and she needed to finish dinner. He took a few steps away from her and the door as he looked at her. His beautiful wife so amazing and beautiful and broken but his.

“I will go and take care of Abigail…. I guess you can finish dinner or we can order pizza for the night…” He said as he glanced over at her and then around the kitchen. The boys were outside yelling and screaming as they were running around the house. Maybe he should have been more careful before he had another kid. But then again he loved his little baby girl.

“I better go before she gets louder.” He said with a smile as he began to walk around her. He leaned over and kissed her on the top of the head.

“I love you.” He said softly as he started to walk back towards the nursery where his little princess was screaming. He just wished that maybe they were going to find a way to make this work the two of them and their issues.
