I don't know why, but in leaf green I cannot beat the elite 4! They're just so strong. Does anyone have advice on how to beat them? Besides leveling up your pokemon. tongue.gif

Hmm. I haven't beaten the Elite Four in FireRed and LeafGreen, but, I've beaten the Elite Four easily after my first battles with them in my other games. =O Maybe these will work.

KEEP A GOOD TEAM!!!
*coughs* Ahem! What I mean is that you should have different types of Pokemon. For example, if your team consists of all Grass Type Pokemon, you should change five of the Pokemon in your party to be different types. You can choose from a variety of types, but, mainly stick to the types that will help you defeat the Elite Four. As seen on Pokemon Dream...
"Pokemon League

You'll definitely want to heal your Pokemon once you get into the Pokemon League building. Go into the PC, and draw out any Pokemon you want to use during battle. Stock up on some essential items, such as Full Restore and Revive. After that, save the game in case you lose, and talk to the official standing by the entrance. Go inside, and get ready to battle the Elite Four!

The first member of the Elite Four is Lorelei. She uses Ice and Water Pokemon. Her Pokemon are listed below:

lv. 52 Dewgong
lv. 51 Cloyster
lv. 52 Slowbro
lv. 54 Jynx
lv. 54 Lapras

The second member of the Elite Four is Bruno. He uses Fighting and Rock Pokemon. His Pokemon are listed below:

lv. 51 Onix
lv. 53 Hitmonchan
lv. 53 Hitmonlee
lv. 54 Onix
lv. 56 Machamp

The third member of the Elite Four is Agatha. She uses Ghost and Poison Pokemon. Her Pokemon are listed below:

lv. 54 Gengar
lv. 54 Golbat
lv. 53 Haunter
lv. 56 Arbok
lv. 58 Gengar

The fourth member of the Elite Four is Lance, also known as the Dragon Champion. He uses Dragon Pokemon. His Pokemon are listed below:

lv. 56 Gyarados
lv. 54 Dragonair
lv. 54 Dragonair
lv. 58 Aerodactyl
lv. 60 Dragonite

After battling the Elite Four, you might think it's over. But it's not over the yet; it's time to face the real champion: Gary!

Gary's the champion. He has a full team of strong Pokemon. Defeating him requires a lot more strategy than the Elite Four. Below are his Pokemon.

lv. 61 Pidgeot
lv. 59 Alakazam
lv. 61 Rhydon
If you chose Bulbasaur, then he has a lv. 61 Exeggutor, lv. 63 Gyarados, and a lv. 65 Charizard.
If you chose Charmander, then he has a lv. 63 Exeggutor, lv. 61 Arcanine, and a lv. 65 Blastoise.
If you chose Squirtle, then he has a lv. 63 Arcanine, lv. 61 Gyarados, and a lv. 65 Venusaur.
"
Good luck on beating the Elite Four! rb_special02.gif Remember, risk a chance, when you fail, try, try again! =3

RAISE YOUR POKEMON WELL!!!
It's suggested that your Pokemon get a real head start so that they can beat up the Pokemon foes easily without even being a Pokemon Type that is the weakness of the foe! But, if you'd just like to use your wits instead of power, try to get your Pokemon's level at least to sixty-five. You'll get a good head start by a few levels.
But, if you'd like to REALLY get pumpin', then, you're welcome to get up to seventy or eighty! But, it's really suggested that you lower it down to sixty-five if you would like to try out your techniques. But if you would like to be on the safe side, try a higher level for your Pokemon. Or try your own techniques! As long as you're successful and happy with your technique, it works for you. And nothing else matters.

STOCK UP ON ITEMS!!!
If you're the kind of person who can't stand dying Pokemon or such, or, you're the kind of person that fails at first and doesn't stock up on Potions, stock up NOW!! Who knows when you'll need these Potions? Perhaps, it's the last battle and the last move, but, you only have one Pokemon left and it has one HP and the foe's really powerful! Now would be a good time for Potions. Buy some Full Restores and Elixirs and such. If you don't need them in the Elite Four battle, use them for other battles.

BE PREPARED!!
Prepare your Pokemon before you set out on the Elite Four battle. There is no turning back! Restore your Pokemon to full health, give them the moves you want them to learn, put your party in good shape, organize your items and give items to your Pokemon, train a bit more, stock up and such, and when you're done, save before you go into the Elite Four rooms and head into the rooms!!

Good luck! =3
Hope these help. At least a teeny bit. rb_special01.gif

I've already beaten the Elite 4 rb_happy.gif

My team consisted of pokemon over 50,since the Elite 4's Pokemon are higher than 50.I tried to keep a team of different types of attacks, such as electric, fire, psychic, flying, and fighting.Ice would've been a good thing to use, since Lance's Pokemon are vulnerable to ice.Switching Pokemon once in a while is a good thing, too. Also attacks that can heal a pokemon, such as Recover or Wish.I also held about 20 to 30 Revives and Full Restore, just in case.

Here was the team and their movesets that I used for the Elite 4:

Zapdos Lv67:
Fly
Thunder
Charge
Drill Peck

Raichu lv63:
Thundershock
Shock Wave
Brick Break
Strength

Jirachi Lv67;
Psychic
Doom Desire
Wish
Hidden Power

Mewtwo Lv79:
Counter
Recover
Safeguard
Psychic

Jolteon Lv69:
Return
Hyper Beam
Secret Power
Thunder

Flareon Lv59:
Bite
Flame Thrower
Secret Power
Fire Blast

If you've already beaten the Elite 4 by this time, then forget this xD

And in case you're wondering how I got jirachi, let's just say I was lucky that I traded my Lv100 Kyogre with my friend, thought Jirachi was at Lv37 at that time >>
And I got Jolteon,Flareon, and Vaporeon (Vaporeon is in the Poke' Center) by getting an Eevee, evolving it,trading it to my Sapphire, then starting all over on Leaf Green to get the rest ^^ Took a while, though.

Well, I still haven't beaten the Elite 4. *sigh* Here's my team, I'm thinking the reason I can't beat the Elite 4 is because the levels aren't high enough. Their moves aren't too great either.

Charizard Lv51
Flamethrower
Wing Attack
Fly
Metal Claw

Dugtrio Lv45
Cut
Magnitude
Dig
Slash

Starmie Lv52
Surf
Confuse Ray
Psychic
Ice Beam

Butterfree Lv49
Psybeam
Poisonpowder
Silver Wind
Flash

Raichu Lv58
Shock Wave
Thunderbolt
Agility
Thunder Wave

Primeape Lv35
Strength
Cross Chop
Low Kick
Karate Chop

I think your pokemon are pretty good, Tzenda.
Maybe level up your Premeape, more, though?

Yeah, your team's good! ^__^
Personally, you might want to train your Dugtrio a bit more, too, because, once, when I was fighting a Dugtrio (I forgot what game it was. x_x Doh!), when it used a certain move (It might be Magnitude. That halfway killed one of my Pokemon. XD) -- Well, you read the parentheses. I'm not going to repeat myself. XDDD
Yah. Maybe, the Primeape could... level up some more? (Not trying to insult anybody or trying to steal Shadow_May's suggestions, okay? Just agreeing. I think. Whatever!!)
Just saying, again... =P

Written by me below... Above is from Pokemon Dream...

"When fighting Lorelei, when fighting Jynx or Dewgong or any Ice Typed Pokemon, you should gather up your Charizard and attack with Flamethrower. When there is a powerful attack that comes from the Ice Pokemon that you already know of, steer clear of it by using Fly and inflicting damage. Once you've got the Ice Pokemon down, the Water Pokemon are up next. It is suggested that you level up your Butterfree to at least Level Fifty-Four to get even with the Water Types. If you brought along a Grass Type, you're in luck, too. You can either inflict damage slowly by casting Poisonpowder on one of the Pokemon or use Flash to lower the Pokemon's attacking accuracy so that you have a chance not to be blown away by water. Constantly use Psybeam and stock up in lots of Potions if you're weakened by attacks. You can switch Pokemon to Starmie, if possible, and use a Confuse Ray if you want to snag some extra time. Then, inflict some damage by a powerful Ice Beam. If that doesn't work, use Psychic, then Surf. That should do the trick for Lorelei. If THAT doesn't work, gather up your Raichu, your strongest Pokemon, and attack full blast with bunches of HP on your side!"

Some tips... @_@ But I'm very stupid. That tactic might not work. I'm not good with matchups and I don't know what could happen in between attacks.
