    1. be friendly and polite. this is a given, and i'm sure nobody even had to say it.

    2. when registering, please register with the first and last name, in all lowercase. ex: "arthur weasley". if you make a mistake, pm an admin or drop a message in the cbox -- we're happy to help!

    3. if you're not going to be around for a while, don't be shy. please let us know in the absence forum. we don't want anyone to lose an account in an activity check.

    4. there is no word count on magic works. as long as quality is maintained, we don't see why quantity should be an issue. that said, there is also no character limit here either.

    5. please pay close mind to the time period. it's not set as far in the past as many roleplay sites, but it's definitely not 2011. we're not asking you to be an expert at all, just conscious of the setting.

    6. mature content is allowed on magic works, as everyone here is (or should be!) sixteen years or older. if you're not comfortable with something -- sex, drugs, violence -- then please let us know. if there's going to be something graphic in a thread, please mark it as such.
