Welcome to Affections and Affectations ...and to Lindeboshire! The time is the last quarter of the 19th century, and the place is a fairly large English city by the name of Lindebo. The people here, like in most cities, come in all shapes and variations. A&A is a historical play-by-post roleplaying game for advanced to intermediate writers. If the Victorian era interests you, or if you enjoy writing realistic fiction, developing interesting characters and exploring people's differences, pretences and relations, you've come to the right place. Feb 2011 - Ok, time to admit it; we are pretty dead. Some of us will still be posting occasionally and I am checking the site. I am still hoping some of you might pop on again sometime, but for those of you who won't: We had a good run! <3 ~Etcetera Dec 2010 - Don't think we're dead. We're not; we're just sleepy. Have you been away for ages and feel too guilty to post? Read the latest Announcement. May 2010 - Some cool new storylines are popping up! I like it! You guys are creating some entertaining reads. Keep up the good work! March 2010 -We are making an attempt to get back in buisness! Welcome! Pop by and say hi why don'tcha? January 2010 -This board has been inactive for over a year. We are planning to reactivate. Will be sending out a mass e-mail to all members when the time comes. 2 April 08 - Hehe, okay, April Fools over and done with. Everything’s back to normal. Carry on as you were, chaps and chapesses. 1 April 08 - Board Event started. The Great Lindebo Fire is now burning down the city. See this thread for more information. 11 Jan. 08 - Yeah, seems we're back on track after Christmas hibernation. Yay, and Happy New Year to all. ~Etcetera 13 Sept. 07 - Despite living far apart, the entire staff has caught an ear infection! Sorry about any inconveniences this may be causing! We'll be up and at it in no time, I'm sure. 17 July 07 - There has been another murder in the city! So I have sent out a mass email inviting everyone back. The mail was sent to all approved RPG Character accounts, so some of you will have received several - sorry about that.
This thread is to say WELCOME BACK to whoever shows up (which I hope that someone will, or I will feel like I'm throwing a party where no one will come and this thread will look very stupid).   I have missed our members, the interesting characters, our fun little stories. I missed reading your posts and talking to you and playing parlour games with you. Yay! It's great to know you are still alive and kicking! Good to "see" you again! I hope you decide/get time to join in on some of the gaming again. If not, then at least hang around to talk sometimes!

The "murderer dude" has promised to come back, yes (although we do not know that it's a dude, do we?
)I am hoping to see Beta back in the game (you played mostly with her, right?). She has been popping by here from time to time while we were inactive. Maybe she got tired of waiting. Hello, don't know if you remember me or not. I was on here for....let's see about three months and managed a total of one thread with this character. That's a sad accomplishment! Anyway, I've been missing him, he's been missing this place, and I hope that my tentative young author will have some adventures that shake him to his prudish core!

Oh, Beta is definitely back!
Last time Madeline was actively here, she and Mikhail had gotten into a huge argument over her saying 'Mrs. Sweeney'  Anastazia and Mads were getting her a job at Mads' sister. Evan was being blackmailed by his past-specifically, the part in which he had accidentally murdered a guy. Olivia had been slapped by Katharine.  I missed this place, too! As well as all of you! And our charries! And all my favorite smilies!   I really, really, really, really, multiplied by a myriad of reallys hope to see this place come back to life. Let's re-animate Lindebo. P.S. Though I still have not forigven you the murder of Ferdinand Mallister. --------------------  |

Well...wow! It's awesome to see you guys again! Ethan, it might have been just one thread, but it was a FANTASTIC thread...Welcome back Cecilia, Beta, Ethan, and Greg! (I'm Jess just so's y'all know, in case you don't recognize this account.) I'm really, really happy to see you guys!!
I've been here all along, so I can't say I'm back along with the rest of you, but I'll be here too! I will be a little slow in postage though, I should admit, and...when this fall comes, I will be even slower. I'll do my best, but I'm starting veterinary school, (UC DAVIS FTW!!!!) and I won't have a lot of time. |

My life has changed drastically since I was last here. I got married, I had a baby (he's 14-months-old now) and I just got a new job today! WOOT! So things are busy, but it's good to have some place to just relax and do something fun and talk to some fun people
