In Light and Shadow is the fantasy play-by-post roleplaying game where you can play as an Angel of Light, an Angel of Darkness, or even as a human of Denobia living out your life in neither ignorance nor bliss though there are those who would like to think otherwise.

Blaeth The shadowy fortress of the Dark Angels. Tattered banners stained in shades of midnight blue and silver flap desperately atop narrow spires while ominous clouds roll and break upon the smooth walls. Within, sleek staircases spiral to impossible heights as heatless fires burn with blue flames within otherwise empty hearths. The stones are icy cold, the rooms are sparse, and the shadows dominate over all.
Fields of Midnight Foliage of dark purple and midnight blue ripple invitingly beneath a crackling sky as a chill wind swirls about, tearing and biting with all the ferocity of a wild animal.
Naieyre The palace of the Golden Lord Mikael. Delicate arches and elegantly placed walkways span across this sprawling expanse of light and warmth. Everything seems to shimmer with a golden glow, giving a heated cast to even the most insignificant of stones. Naieyre almost seems to pulse with a life all its own... and in a way, the palace is very much alive. It has been known to "grow" extra rooms and corridors to accommodate Mikael's forever growing family.
Fields of Dawn Golden light drips like honey onto the rolling waves of shimmering grass and flowers painted in shades of delicate pink and pale periwinkle that, defying all mortal laws of physics, periodically transform into butterflies and take flight.
Elevarn The capital city of Nynan, the cultural center for all of Denobia. The city itself is arrayed almost in the manner of a compass with all the buildings and structures built to face north towards the palace of the Queen and the Academy of Magick. Cobbled streets are kept in good repair and well-managed aqueducts manage to keep the city clean and fairly sanitary.
Marlilo A port city dead south of Elevarn and reachable by horseback within a few days. The smell of the sea is heavy on the air and the docks are always alive and busy with the hustle and bustle of sailors, merchants, and even pirates. Marlilo is as dangerous as it is peaceful and is most definitely not for the feint of heart.
Brysnel Located northeast of Elevarn, this farming community is the supplier of most of the kingdom's crops. Tightly knit, fairly small, but bustling in its own right, Brysnel is a place of no mysteries and even fewer secrets... usually.
Countryside From beaches to fields to mountains to forests, the countryside of Nynan is sprawling and beautiful indeed, filled with dangers and natural wonders alike.
Province of the Serpent The province closest to Nynan -- all that separates the two is the body of water "The Serpent's Channel" which is easily crossed by boat over the course of one day if the weather is fair. The Province of the Serpent is known for its hilly terrain and thick, ancient forests. The capital city is Dardin.
Province of the Fox The largest province of Mar, though most of its mass consists of either farmland or marsh. The capital city of Cylnel is known for being home to the underground Kingdom of the Thieves lead by their elusive Thief King.
Province of the Wolf The Province of the Wolf is both the farthest located from Nynan and the smallest of the Marian provinces, though it is without a doubt the most lush. Rumors tell of a wolf shrine located somewhere in the wilderness of the province that will grant special powers to any who find it. It has yet to be found. The capital city is Rayne.
