I don't know about you all, but I personally like the comic medium better than the cartoon one, when it comes to my weird Japanese entertainment art. rainthumbsup.gif So, what manga are people currently reading? There's so many to collect nowadays~

I'm currently collecting:

Saiyuki Reload
Dragon Knights
Vampire Game
DNAngel
Tactics
Matantei Loki Ragnarok (The Mythical Detective Loki: Ragnarok)
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle
Ragnarok (both Korean & Japanese, which is English Titled "Sword of the Dark Ones")
And various. 9_9; SO many of the series I love are over even in English now... caelcry.gif

I read manga, but I never buy it. In all honesty, I don't really buy anything that's not a necessity.
Anyway, I read whatever I can get from my friends (well . . . friend. And since she's moved away, I don't know when I'll be able to read more), which includes:

Negima
Hot Gimmick
Neon Genesis Evangelion (I'm eternally stuck at the same place in both the manga and the show. I'll never get to finish either, I reckon)
Legends From Darkwood
Sorcerers and Secretaries (which I read online, but may buy someday)
His and Her Circumstances (I just have to read the last one and I'll be done. This tends to happen a lot.)
Battle Royale (But I like the book a LOT LOT LOT better. Also am trying to see the movie, which is carried by ONE VIDEO STORE in my town, to which I do not have a membership)
Off*Beat

That's all I can think of, I too have some favorites that are already finished (Pita Ten and Azumanga Daioh).

Not reading that much manga... But oh bother am I waiting for the next volume of X to be released >_< WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING DRAWING TSUBASA INSTEAD OF X.
Also desperately awaiting the next Evangelion volume.
I stopped Angel Sanctuary halfway through... I tried DNAngel but I just liked the anime better :/
And I picked up the HunterxHunter manga where the series stopped.
But I'm really more of an anime person than a manga person...

Death Note :3 it's super fun to read (L is is just so awsome biggrin.gif) I only have volume 2 though. I'm hoping on getting 1 and 3 next time I get some money...

I've read parts of the Berserk manga, but only seen a few things past where the anime ends (I dont think I could stomach too much of it... from what my brother tells me about it...O.o)

..I've also read a fair bit of Naruto... but I got kinda bored of it eventually >.<

I WANT to be reading DN angel, mainly because I saw the anime, fell in love with it (And Hiwatari, who I now just cant stop drawing...O.o) and decided I needed the manga too >.< but collecting that as WELL as Death Note while I'm going into what promises to be the toughest school years of my life is going to be tricky... Though I'm sure I'll manage it somehow...

...I'm going to be all silly and fangirly and go rewatch it now V.v;;

Yes manga is superior to anime.

Currently in the process of reading...
Initial D
Gravitation
AirGear
Hellsing
One Piece
Yakitate!! Japan
Shaman King
Fire Candy
Dogs - Bullets and Carnage
Berserk
Beck
Change Guy
Shamo
Dead End
Blade of the immortal
Evangelion
Freesia
DNAngel

It's a relatively long list now that I look at it, but I remember I've been even hungrier in the past.
Also some of these are somewhat suspended at the moment, as no one has translated any new chapters, but when something comes out I'm on it.

Holy crud! Blade of the Immortal! How could I forget that one? Although I don't buy it, it's a really freakishly good comic/manga! Although in the first few books, the were experimented with rearranging the pages so it could be left to right and failed to keep his scarred eye on one side.

I'm reading Tank Girl. Although that's not exactly manga, it still kicks my ass in an exciting variety of ways. Seriously good comic, right there.

Also I'm rereading .hack//Legend of the Twilight. I hadn't realized how low-quality it is. Man, if horrible artists like /that/ get published, why doesn't Nate? Or me, for that matter.

Hewlett for the big big ****ing win!

I'm trying to find out where I hid my old Dragonball comics, the cool ones when Goku was still a kid and Akira Toriama still was in charge, I remember they rocked really hard.

Also there's that new thing from Moebius (Alien storyboard artist, he also wrote the serie "L'Incal" with Jodorowsky, he also worked with Luc Besson on The Fifth Element) which is a very french sci-fi thing but that he sent to a Japanese manga corp and that was made into a manga. It's called "Icare" and while the deformed eyes still bug me it's got gratuitious lesbian sex in the first few pages!

No, really, I trust Moebius for making it amazing.

Omg, I love The Fifth Element *and* I love gratuitious lesbian sex! Obviously I need to read this.

Also, for actual thread contribution, it's all about Rose of Versailles right now...An old one to be sure, but still enjoyable. The scanlated version I've got was done by a french-history-phile so it's doubly entertaining.
I suppose I just can't get enough crossdressing and cat fights in my life right now (a lie!)...

Hmmm...

Actually I'm done reading with any manga I have in the house so I guess I'll just put down the last ones.

My favourite right now is Nausicaa of the Valley of Winds.
I love Hayao Miyazaki. Yeah, I guess some'd find the style of Nausicaa outdated and'd prefer more japanesey style.

However it has such a rich world and so much detail in the drawings...and he really has his heart in it.

The only downside is that almost all volumes of the german edition are sold out. I guess I'd have to order from england or something (I'm austrian, english is not my mother language)

Then I've also been reading .hack//Legend of Twilight
It's just so frickin cute... Mireiyu rocks.

I'm also still collecting "Bastard!!".
Filled to the rim with heavy metal references and the main character is a 400 year old black mage with long white hair called "Dark Schneider".
Awesome.

I just read Queen Bee by Chynna Clugston Major (who does Blue Monday and Scooter Girl among other things).

It made me roll my eyes a couple of times, but it TOTALLY appealed to the fourteen-year-old girl in me.
