Hello and welcome to the Kikouken/CCA messageboard. I'm Gilgamesh, administrator and de facto leader of this crew. Before you begin to post, there are a few things you should know about.

First off, this is a moderated board. Everything does not go, and if you act like a nitwit, we will do something about it. Count on it.

Second, we try to keep this board work safe. What that means is, that if you were to read this board at work or school, there shouldn't be anything on here that could get anyone in trouble. If you're posting a link to something that could be questionable, warn everyone first.

The rules in this community really aren't very complicated. It really just boils down to one golden rule: don't be a dick. Have fun but be respectful of others.

When these rules are broken, the offender will be dealt with by an administraor (usually me) on a case-by-case basis. The general standard I hold for banning someone is when they've proven to me that they are beyond redeption and cannot possibly contribute anything to the board but contempt.

In order of their severity, they are:

Things that won't get you in trouble, but you really shouldn't do. (You're clueless.)
Excessive Otakuisms.
Excessive 1337 2p34k.
Excessive fanboyism (i.e. "Character X is the greatest ever, yay!").
Bringing up dead threads.
Posting links to nifty things that only five people on the entire net haven't seen already.

Things that can get you into trouble. (You're an idiot.)
Not following netiquette.
Off topic posts (they'll get moved).
Excessive profanity.
Sexually explicit language.
Not giving warning on potentially objectionable links.
Not giving spoiler warnings (see details below).
Starting pointless flame/debate threads (Which character is "cooler?").
Posting media files (you can link to them, but don't incorporate them into your posts).
Racial/Ethnic slurs.
Pointless flaming.
Demonstrating an inability to use a search engine.
Posting large images outside the image forms (both file size and pixel size, use common sense).
Asking for warez, hentai, etc...

Things that'll really get you in trouble. (You're a jackass.)
Repeating any of the above after being warned.
Posting potentially objectionable images.
Not giving warning on really objectionable links.
Excessive racial/ethnic slurs.
Really sexually explicit language.
Posting explicit fanfiction.

Things that'll get you banned outright. (You're slime.)
Repeating any of the above after being warned.
Trolling for flames (i.e. 'You all suck' posts and the like).
Spamming.
Flooding.
Excessively lame trolling.
Posting 'trap' links (i.e. goatse.cx, popuphell.com, etc.)
Posting really objectionable/explicit images.
Invasions.
Attempting to start a cross-board flame war.
Hacking.
Sabotage.

About warning-free spoilers - It largely depends on the format. If it's a movie or a video game, people tend to observe an unofficial two-year statute of limitations. In terms of TV shows, depending on the availability of reruns or DVD rentals, one year. In terms of anime or books, it's simple: No warning-free spoilers, period. A lot of people, myself included, don't always read new books or watch new anime when they're brand new. Hell, I still haven't finished watching Neon Genesis Evangelion yet. So just don't do it.

These rules are not etched in stone and there will be no legal battles over the definitions of what certain words mean. We have final say on what goes and what doesn't. And if you don't like it, you can quite frankly go find another messageboard.
