When viewing a PDF in Adobe Acrobat, customize your top toolbar by right-clicking on the toolbar & add buttons. Add in the 'Snapshot Tool' (icon=a camera).
After clicking on the Snapshot tool, a crosshair cursor appears which when left-clicked & dragged will select an area (i.e. an image). When the left-click is released, the area selected will now be in your clipboard for pasting into an image programme to save as a jpg.
