The Kayaking 1 STAR is a 2 day course. From 10am to 5pm.

The course cost about $80 for non-members and $45 for members.

The membership fee for 1 year is $20, so in my opinion, I think its a worthwile investment if you want to do kayaking. Because after the course, you can go back to rent their kayaks and the cost for ALL their equipment per DAY is $8.

After your 1 STAR course, you can kayak within the SSC boundary.

If you like to be challenged, then go for 2 STAR, after which you can kayak into the open sea, and cross over to Pulau Ubin for lunch, or kayak to Punggol's Coney Island, or even kayak to Changi beach, for a meal at changi village.

The PA SSC caters to both groups and individual, although individual will have to join another group. Rarely do they have enough members of public or individuals to form one group.
