rules and regulations

the rules and regulations of all that could have been are simple really.  they are guidelines mostly, that will keep things running smoothly. 

we do not bother with in character rules, that is because i don't feel they need to be spelled out for you, i like to think that you are smart enough to know what the unwritten laws of horses are and are able to live by them.

so, without further ado. 

*marking posts:  use the subtitle section of a post to mark who is allowed to post in this thread.  we understand that sometimes we want some one on one time.  so if that is the case, write the name of the characters permitted to post there.  if you want to let anyone in, put in `open to all` or something of that like.

*character names: all user names  must be the name of your character, and each character must have their own user name activated.

*character profiles: each character must have a profile set up in the profile section. This profile should be linked into your signature, if you need help doing this, please contact us.

*tables: tables are welcomed but not needed. some people are just html illiterate, there is a section however that will be for people to ask for icons, signature images, and tables graphics, as well as html help.  as a side note, tables and signature images should not be larger then 500px wide, and icons can not be larger then 200 x 250.

*post lengths: there is no limit on post size. but we do conceder ourselves to be advanced and literate, so, try your best to give us good detailed posts! we know that everyone has a bad day, or a bad posting day, so don't worry about it.

*respect: respect is a key element in . and it is mostly respect for the muns that we are talking about here. we all have people we don't like, we all also have characters that we don't like, this does not mean that we get to treat the mun of a character that we don't like poorly. if there is a problem between muns do not communicate out of character. everyone can not always be friends with everyone else. it is that simple

*no god moding, no power playing: i know that there has been some wondering as to the difference between god moding and power playing. god moding is the assumption of what someone will do. for example: rogue assumes that one of toni's characters will agree to something without asking her ic or ooc. power playing is to take over someone's character or to make any sort of direct hit or kill one them. For example: rach says that moony's character steps aside. it seems harmless, but it is annoying... because moony might not want her character to step aside. or if rogue were to say his character killed rach's character... this would also be power playing, now we know the difference and regardless to that information, neither is(password:charon) allowed. godmoding on the board also means ignoring other players who may have something to do with a situation going on and going on a posting spree without giving time for others to post.

*don't mix ic and ooc: no out of character problems should show up in character on the boards, ever! This means no posting of out of character notes on in character boards. O n l y the administrators can post out of character notes on the in character boards, any out of character issues should be taken up, out of character on the ooc board or in an e-mail.

*plots are moldable: go with the flow. even if it seems odd, there is a reason... go with it... let us go with it... trust the administrators we have a higher plan.

*work with new players: we all know how hard it is to get involved in new situation. work with them, help them out and don't give them a hard time. get them involved in play. harassment of new players will not be tolerated.

*number of characters: a player may have up to 6 characters and no more then that. this is to keep characters from going inactive. sometimes you will see the admins posting character situations, these are just npc characters and do not count as part of the six and will likely be posted on an administrators sn. You can not tie characters together in order to metagame (knowing information IC that your character should not know.) remember that.

*to play is to consent: this is within reason. for the sake of plot we will not just kill off your character for no good reason, we will ask before anything major happens... but know if you enter your character into a fight with a pack of wolves, that your horse might well end up dead.

*adult content: this is an adult role play, buy the time you have reached this point you know this... you have seen it, at least three times... and as such... all adult content posts should be marked somewhere in the post title that it is adult content with an (AC) before or after the title.
