Autumn has arrived with a vengeance and brought with it a blaze of tawny colours and a sudden drop in temperature. Typical days are often marred by regular bouts of horizontal rain. Catch a fine day, though and prepare for a glorious array of golden sunshine and rich autumnal hues of orange, yellow and red. Clear nights will leave their mark by way of thick, morning frosts that chill both breath and bone.
