Should There Be One United God?

[Major Grudge]

I ask because each religion has it's own. Or do they just have a different view on a single diety?

Some will say the Jewish God, later Christian, is the only God. Others will argue that Allah is the one true God?

Why haven't we in our so called civilised aged united to just one God? Wouldn't it prevent wars if all the Religious leaders said "Hold Up, all these Gods are causing too many conflicts" ?

I believe that the Gods you've just described, are infact the same God, just different ideals of worship.

I have talked to many people of different religions, and the majority of people I spoke to believe just that.
I'm not a religious person myself so I dont have a huge amount of knowledge on it myself.

However if you look at christians, muslims and jews, the one MAIN area of their diffrences is Gods messanger.
Christains believe Jesus was the son of God
Muslims focus their worsip of the prophet Mohammed
Jews believe the saviour is yet to come.

When you looks at other religions like Buddism, then its a whole different can of worms.

I dont think you can blame conflict on the religions, its the extremests who take their beliefs and use them as an excuse for violence.
If everyone had to conform to one religion, people would rightly protest to this, relgion is one of our freedoms, and freedom never comes without a price
