Before the start of the season, i had him down as winning player of the year.

But, turns out he's a lazy bitch. Was he always a lazy bitch, or has he learnt it while at Arsenal?

I guess he looks a bit lazy unsure.gif

yeah, he's gone off the boil this season and while he had a few good games at the start he never looked the player he was for us last season.
He's working more in midfield, which is of course not a bad thing, but I would like him to have a free roll, so he can use his limited stamina on those explosives run.

I think the season in Russia lasts from March to November so maybe he carried some fatigue from last year's season, as he had a very short break in the winter.

He's due a rest anyway. He has looked fucked and mentally tired for quite some time. Why he gets 90 minutes again and again, I'm not sure.

his work rate is pretty poor to be honest. But he has thatn knack of producing something extraordinary every now and again in a matt le tissier stylee.

Seems his lungs are knackered from all that russian smog

Hard to say as I'd never heard of him.

He seems to be one of those players who doesn't seem to do much but then pops up with a brilliant goal like he did against Birmingham. Guess I can live with that.

Good player, but to me he's not on form at the moment. The other thing is sometimes he goes by himself too often when he should pass, having said all that he's always a goal threat even when not playing well.

I'm sure he'll be back in form sooner or later, as for his workrate it's not the best but it rarely is with the most creative players.

He hates training and looks out of breath in ten minutes. But players who look like they're struggling with fitness might not always do so. He's a fantastic player to have. But yeah, kinda lazy, though he's been improving his tracking back etc.

So there's an agreement that he's a bit lazy/maybe tired for other exertions.

Am i alone in thinking he could be the best player in the league if he wasnt a lazy bitch though?

I think he is lazy, but he also gets frustrated.

He thinks a bit quicker mentally than a lot of players in our side. A lot of what he does (including movement off the ball) is not spotted by some of our players.

Example: About 30 mins in to the derby, he pulled in from the wing, sat on Kings shoulder, and when we got the ball completely lost King. He was on for a ball down the middle, in absolute acres. Problem was, no-one spotted him, and he was hopping mad.

Links up well with Fabregas, not so much with RVP.

So overall, clever player, bit lazy, but also on a higher wavelength than most of our side.

Like Hleb used to in fact.

We play it short. A lot of the time he wants it long. His movement, when he can be arsed is terrific, but he's often ignored.

The telepathy isn't quite there with some of our players either. AA and RVP don't link up well.

He does look frustrated, maybe the 4-3-3 is not working for him, been a bit disapointing lately last few matches

No because Hleb just ran into blind alleys and didn't have a footballing brain.

Different class of player.

He is 1 step ahead of most players and sees things quick, but maybe sometimes he could just take that extra second or 2, on saturday when the ball came to him in the box, he had time to go forward a bit then shoot instead of hitting straight away, still a great player for us and so glad he plays for us.
