He has scored. He has scored 3 goals this season. He is a great signing. So don't judge.
Fran is a good kid. I should know.

definitly Nice to hear he has settled in england, and is enjoying his football. Jopefully he will make a break through into the first in the next couple of seasons, by all accounts he is good enough.

| QUOTE | Spanish midfielder Fran Merida is hoping his performances at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup will impress Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger enough to give him some first team experience in the Premier Leauge.
The 19-year-old has helped Spain's under-20 side to the top of Group B thanks to three goals in three games.
"I am focused on the World Cup and when I come back and I will give my best to show him [Wenger] what I can do, and to show him I can help the team. Of course, playing well for the national team helps" Merida told Associated Press.
Merida is hoping to follow in the footsteps of other great left-footed players Lionel Messi and Michael Owen who both impressed in the youth tournament in their primitive years.
"I always want to improve, to get better, to get my place in the Arsenal side," Merida said.
"Obviously playing with top, top players is nice, and Cesc [Fabregas] is one of them. I would love to make the first eleven at Arsenal, and that Cesc is there as well."
Merida has made one appearance for Arsenal in the Premier League this season after coming off the bench in Arsenal's second match of the season against Portsmouth - and has been largely consigned to playing in the League Cup with Arsenal's other fruiting stars.

Everytime I see him play, he's pretty average...I don't think he'll make it at Arsenal or any other decent british club
next please

Been with us for a long time now and not even close to making our bench.
Think we'll sell him soon. We've got loads of players like him but better.

There are players, that he's competing with, that are younger and better than him.
Along with Vela, this guy won't hang about for much longer. Don't think he's got much of a chance of getting into the team.

I don't think Wenger will let Vela go, he has too much potential.
As said, there are younger players who are better than Merida so I can see him leaving soon.

Who's younger and better than Merida?
Ramsey, I can think of (he is younger, yeah?) but no one else.
Don't say Wilshere, 'cause he's one of the attacking three, while Merida's one of the midfield three.
