[Emily Overturf]

Emily stared out across the grounds. Thunderclouds were rolling in. Finally. It had been so dry lately. Emily glanced around the grounds for a second and then hoisted herself up onto the roof. The actual roof, no roof over her head cause she was on it. She smiled slightly as it started to sprinkle as the clouds rolled over her head. It was sunset and still it was almost pitch black outside. These clouds were dark and heavy and ready to fall. Then quite suddenly it downpoured. She had been smart to stick her feet under two of the shingles so she wouldn't slide off but still. The suddenness of the rain startled her. The thunder yelled like it was mad at the world. The lightning cracked as though it was trying to get rid of every living thing. Emily loved it! She sat there absolutely drenched but happy as ever. She could stay up here until the storm passed if she wanted too.

YAY! It was raining!!

But what to do now? Ian exited the forest and looked around silently. He could always go back inside and spend the rest of his evening in front of a warm fire...or he could just stay out here. I wonder if I'll get a cold... He thought as he wandered about the grounds.

Ian looked around and saw this girl...sitting on a roof. He rubbed his eyes to make sure he was seeing things correctly and what do you know? He was. Ian went up to the girl on the roof...only he wasn't up there with her. He was terribly afraid of heights..

"What are you doing up there?" Ian asked, a bit curious. Normally he would have just passed on by..but it wasn't everyday you saw someone chilling out on a roof...in the middle of a thunderstorm.

Emily glanced down at him silently without a word. She had a, dead look in her eyes. She was completely drenched though. "I'm sitting.."She said looking back over the grounds. She looked up at the sky silently and watched a flash of lightning fly at the ground but not hit, and disspear in an instant. She looked back down at him.

"Yea...but why on the roof?"

Ian looked around as it started to get a bit colder outside. He wrapped his cloak around him even tighter, but it was just a basically worthless attempt to keep himself warm. The cloak's fabric was much to thin to be able to allow him to keep even the slightest bit of warmth....sad huh?

"I can see everything from up here."She said. She glanced down at him and saw he was cold. She didn't even have her cloak on. In fact she hadn't brought it with her. Her hair hung limply as a harsh wind started to blow. She didn't even move though.

"That's nice I guess" Ian mumbled quietly. He stared around, wondering if he should just go inside and save himself from a cold, or just stay there talking to her. It WAS cold out there and the wind wasn't necessarily making anything easier for him. "So......" He mumbled.

Emily just barely flashed her eyes in his direction. "Have you ever wondered what they do?"She asked glancing down at him. "The Death Eaters I mean..sometimes I want to join...just for a moment..that Katie girl has all the luck."

[Ian Reed]

Ian thought for a moment, then said "Sometimes I wonder what they do...but not too often. I haven't really been interested in the Dark Arts. . .Even though my parents were quite fond of it. " He finally said. He might have been overly mean and arrogant sometimes, but that didn't mean he would want to become a DE...

"What Katie girl?" He asked after a second of silence

"The one who Celia loves."She muttered. "Her little aid."She growled out. "I bet she knows all what they are doing..and no matter how hard I try I can't get in."She growled out as she looked down at him. Her eyes flashed slightly as she looked down at him. "Who are you again?"

"Katie..hum..where have I heard that name before?" Ian asked himself, but then jsut shrugged it off a couple of seconds later.

"Oh..right...'M Ian.." He said quietly, looking back up at her again.

Emily stared at him. "You should go inside, before you get a cold."She said simply and turned back to staring over the water. "i'm talking about Katie Vonders..I think you two hang out at one point."She muttered glancing at him.

[Ian Reed]

"Nah, I'm fine.." After he thought about it having a cold meant he didn't have to go to any classes for a while. And he very much hated going to class. The classes he had were all so boring and uneventful.

....

Oi! THAT Katie? "Yea, I think I know her...that one girl...'bout ye high.." He wasn't making fun of her height or anything but he stuck out his hand and lowered it a bit to represent Katie's height. "Yup..I think I know her" He repeated.

Emily nodded silently. "You know what..I don't think she knows what Celia does.."She said looking down at him. She suddenly slid down and landed right in front of him. "Actually...Celia hasn't told her.."Emily said looking excited. "yes!"She almost jumped in the air but held herself back. She looked around. "yeah...Yeah."She said nodding.

[Ian Reed]

"Huh...what?" Ian looked at her with a confused mixed with curious expression. "Who is Celia..?" He asked quietly, watching her. "Sorry if I'm asking too many questions..." He apologized quickly.

Emily turned to look at him. "You need to get inside, you'll catch your death out here."She said putting on the kindest grin she could muster. But it was lost behind the fact that her eyes didn't sparkle. Not like they used to. She looked at him smiling softly. "Come on, lets go inside, I'll take you down to the kitchens and get us some hot cocoa."

Ian nodded slightly. He suddenly just didn't feel like arguing with anyone anymore. "I suppose it is getting a bit too cold out here.." He agreed, muttering it. He hated it when he had to agree with people, but sometimes it was for his own good. So then, he found himself back in the castle again, and was thankful he had went in.

Emily smiled as she put her arm around him carefully. They were both soaked but Emily didn't care at all. In fact, she was estactic. She lead him down to the kitchen to get hot cocoa.

[Talen Cole]

Talen was walking around the school with his head down, like he owned the place. The rain was pouring down harder than ever now and the wind was picking up a bit. The rain gave Talen ideas. mOst of which included mud, broomsticks, and lots of people. Talen smiled to himself as his hair fell into his eyes. He flipped it back behind him and saw someone in front of him. No...two someones. A boy, about 12-ish and a girl, roughly his age. She was kinda pretty. They where both soaked to the bone.

"Hey," Talen started, keeping his eye mostly on the girl, "Had fun playing in the rain?" He waved his wand and muttered a spell under his breath. The girl and her friend where dry seconds later.


((ugh... i hope that last part isn't like godmoding or anything...sorry if it is.))
