Welcome to Genesis 2.0, the new and improved roleplay site based on the fab show Heroes. We are an AU-post-season-one roleplay, with original characters only, which gives us the chance to be much more creative with our writing.

it is december. the aftermath of the bomb (or exploding man, depending how 'in the know' you are) has started to dawn on the citizens of new york, and clean-up work has just begun.
very cold. in most places, the temperature is below zero degrees. snow lies everywhere, and gets thicker and thicker with every day, and harsh winds make the winter even colder.
a memorial service is being held in three weeks to remember all of the unfortunate heroes that lost their lives to the bomb blast killing over half the population of new york. will any heroes or villains make an appearance?

this is a roleplaying site so please register with a characters name.
please make your username your character's first, middle, and last
in ALL LOWER CASE letters, with a SPACE and then an EXCLAMATION
MARK [!]. yes of course, it is fixable by the admins,
but why make them change it if you can get it right in the first place.
if you do want to change it just pm an admin and they will do it for you.
this site does have an application! this is not meant to terrorize our
members, but to inspire. so yes, it is a pain, but once you're done
you know your character better than you know yourself. please
do not roleplay until you have completely filled it out. also remember
to post in the face claim. it's pretty simple and keeps the forum
nice and clean. sounds easy enough.
writing

this is a literate site, meaning a few paragraphs is the bare minimum here.
when it comes to what a reply looks like we follow one rule. it's the rule
of RECIPROCATION! meaning, if someone spends two hours writing a
1700 word response, don't reply with one paragraph with no dialogue.
now this does pose a problem with open threads. the simple answer?
make it medium length. for an open post do something along the lines of
400-600 words. not too long, not to short. then if you want to lengthen it
or shorten it you have a nice starter. problem solved!
characters
------------------------
we don't have a limit on how many characters you have, but we'd
rather you have 1 or 2 great ones, as opposed to 5 or 6 barely active
and under developed ones. get the picture? only take what you can
handle. also, if you do have multiple characters, please make some
of them boys. yes, we all know how fun it is roleplaying as girls, but
we do have guys in this world! be reasonable. if you have 5 characters
and only make one of them a guy? yeah that's not reasonable. however,
2 or 3 out of 5 is reasonable.
no one is perfect, and neither are your characters. they can't all be
the popular, partying, guy getting girl. everyone has faults, and let
those show! also it's really frustrating when people won't stretch beyond
their playby's boundaries. yes, i know there are tons of cute pictures
of kristen stewart and robert pattinson together which makes graphics
ever so easy, but come on! that gets so old! who says kstew can't go
out with chase crawford eh? maybe robert really has a thing for selena
gomez? mix it up! don't let show/movie/networks separate the roleplaying
gold you may have there! nobody likes anything predictable!
so what happens if, let's say, you really want to be leighton meester
but oh noes! she's taken. what do you do? well A) you can pm the person
with your desired play by and ask if you can be twins. if they say not
then pick someone else! just because you can't be leighton doesn't mean
it's the end of the world. maybe sophia bush is calling your name but
you can't hear it. you never know until you try. you could even find a
new favorite playby. now how sweet would that be?
activity
----------------
please stay active! i know we all have lives so we don't expect you to come
on every single day, but please try to be on and roleplaying! if you are going
to be gone for for longer than 3-4 days, please post in the going away
section. that way you don't just go MIA on us here. if you do need to leave
the admins can then put your play by/character up for grabs for someone who
will use it. also, if you have 5 characters, but you only roleplay with 2 of them
we will delete unused characters. it's not fair for you to hog characters
other people can use. so please, please, PLEASE stay active

this site is rated M, because in life you never know what's gonna happen.
this does NOT mean excessive violence, swearing or sex. swearing is allowed
but don't make it a second language. since rosetta stone doesn't offer it, i
don't consider it a language, kay? if there's gonna be sex, mark the thread
with a [M] or [mature] just so those reading responses are expecting. if you
want to fade to black, sure do that. it's not mandatory, but don't make it so
graphic that this becomes a porn site.

and as long as you follow these rules, i see no reason why you won't
have fun! enjoy! in the 'read the rules' section of the application,
please put 'you deserve to be alive' to prove you've read the rules.
