it is december. the aftermath of the bomb (or exploding man, depending how 'in the know' you are) has started to dawn on the citizens of new york, and clean-up work has just begun.

very cold. in most places, the temperature is below zero degrees. snow lies everywhere, and gets thicker and thicker with every day, and harsh winds make the winter even colder.

a memorial service is being held in three weeks to remember all of the unfortunate heroes that lost their lives to the bomb blast killing over half the population of new york. will any heroes or villains make an appearance?

hayley williams sat one the bright orange edge of the kirby plaza statue with her acoustic guitar next to her side. she was minding her own business and eating shirbert icecream in a medium-sized waffle cone, her favorite kind. ofcourse, it was cold and there was snow on the ground so no one else but her was eating icecream, which lead at least some attention to the multi-colored hair girl. people starred and people laughed, they wondered why she was eating icecream in late winter. january, to be exact. yet she just continued to eat her icecream. she then finished it shortly after and glanced at her tan guitar. hayley picked up her guitar and positioned herself, crossing her legs and layed her guitar on them. she tuned her guitar as quietly as she could. she thought of what song to play for the crowd. then it came to her mind. she was going to play and sing her very own song, conspiracy. a song she wrote when she was about sixteen. it's one of the only songs about her ability and it's been in her heart eversince she wrote it down on a piece of notebook paper.

she didn't really want attention, but she was bored. people were already beginning to walk up to her. she smiled and said hi to the ones who said hi to her. "okay..." she whispered to herself. she looked down at her guitar and began to softly play the beginning. she then flowed into the first course and began to sing, "please speak softly for they will hear us, and they'll find out why we don't trust them....", in the best singing voice she could. her voice was soft and to her surprise, her voice didn't crack and she didn't mess up as she played the guitar. multitasking wasn't such a well-known task for hayley. more and more people from the large crowd grouped around her and the tall statue, just to hear her music. the crowd stared at her and she was too afraid to know if they liked her or didn't. she closed her eyes and continued to sing and play guitar. the whispers made hayley wonder if they actually liked her. she hasn't performed in a crowd that big for about three years. the experience slipped away faster than it came.

the song began to come to an end and hayley finally opened her eyes as she made the big finish. "and tell me how...i've lost my power oh!......i've lost my power." she finished the final fret and smiled to the crowd. "thank you." she said as she watched them clap. she heard some people in the crowd yell for more. "okay...i have one more for you." she smiled as they wanted more and thought of the last song she'd play for them. it was pressure. a song she made when she was eighteen. it was one of her favorites to preform. "this song is called pressure." she began to play and this time, she didn't have to close her eyes. it seemed the crowd was paying more attention than they did before. "tell me where our time went, and if it was time well spent, just don't let me fall asleep...feeling empty again.." she sang as she continued onto the chorus. she chuckled when someone yelled out to her, saying they loved her voice. but she continued to sing and play strongly. the song ended and hayley smiled at the crowd as they clapped for her. she stood up and said, "thank you." about more than five times. she put away her guitar in the case and began to walk from the statue, but she wanted to wait for a little.

Kady walked slowly down the rocky sidewalk, running a hand through her short hair. Little sleep had blessed her with a short temper and beautiful dark circles under her eyes. She had been unsuccessful in her last attempt to obtain a new power, and the fight had taken a lot out of her. She abhorred losing, especially in a fight. She ALWAYS won. Well, she always had before this. But one little scrap had left her in shambles. She didn't know why, perhaps the she was used to the adrenaline and the thrill of winning. Now, she was simply without that, and it felt empty.

Vocal and guitar notes traveled to Kady's ears. The voice was female, and she turned to look around her. She was standing in a plaza, with a strange fountain in the middle. A girl around her age with flaming red hair was singing. Her voice was good, but Kady knew that she was better. The song that the girl was singing was one that Kady had never heard, and she had to admit, it wasn't terrible, but it was nothing special either. The girls' guitar skills were alright as well.

A crowd was starting to gather around the girl, and Kady rolled her eyes. She joined the crowd, just to here if the girl had anything special. From a closer distance, she was better, but still, Kady was much more talented. The girl ended her song, and bowed before butting her guitar away. Kady clapped lazily, and stayed as the crowd dissipated. Wanting to show the girl how she was better, Kady opened her mouth and began to sing.

"Homecoming, I'm coming, my sweet mistake," Kady's voice was higher, but it sounded weaker unaccompanied. But with accompaniment, she knew she'd be better. "Summer's over, hope it's not too late," She smirked, as she continued to sing. By the time she had finished, the crowd had surrounded them once again, and she heard their applause. It seemed to be louder than the girls, but that was simply Kady's imagination. A smile crept over her face, buit the smile wasn't an innocent one. It was a munipulative one, and she turned to the girl.

"You're good. Maybe you'll be like me some day." She smirked once again, and sat down beside the girl. "So," she said, "What's your story?"

Sorry this is short, and I don't have my template!

sorry....mines shorter. ive been feeling sick lately and it takes away my muse. i still roleplay though tongue.gif

hayley had put down her guitar and locked it in the case and looked up when she began to hear a much higher voice than hers. the crowd, was gone but they quickly came back and maybe even gained more people. hayley stood up and joined the crowd. she smirked at the girl. she was good, no doubt about it. hayley nodded a bit at the girl. she was awsome! when she was done everyone clapped and hayley joined. nice. she said to herself, quietly. she smiled.

when the crowd was leaving hayley sat back down on the orange circle around the fountain. she was getting ready to leave, making sure she had everything she had before when she came here. she noticed her icecream had fallen down. she threw away the icecream scraps. she'd just buy some more, like always. it wasnt a big deal. then, she saw the singing girl come to her and she smiled. "You're good. Maybe you'll be like me some day." she heard the girl say. "thank you, but you pretty much do it so much better." she giggled. she pushed her guitar farther to the side, out of her way. the girl sat down next to her. hayley smiled at her. "So," the girl began. "What's your story?" hayley rose her eyebrows. "my story?" she asked. "what do you mean about my story?" she added.

what kind of story? was the more exact question. like, what did this person want to know about hayley? the girls question was unclear, but hayley would be kind and answer it under more understanding.

Kady let out a frustrated sigh when the girl's eyebrows peaked. "My story?" she asked innocently, "What do you mean my story?" Kady couldn't believe the girl's stupidity. People like her were the reason society was failing. People like Kady, on the other hand, she thought, were the ones who should be alive, ruling the world. Survival of the fittest, she thought. It was only the truth, and Kady knew it. She also knew she had to act on it. Be the first to step forwards, and claim what was rightfully hers. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but it was doable.

"It's simple really," Sarcasm dripped off of Kady's every word, running off her tongue like an all-too-sweet honey. "Who are you. What do you do. Do you do anything . . . special?" Kady didn't know how to spell it out any clearer than that. If the girl didn't understand that, Kady didn't know what she would be able to understand.

Kady inspected her nails as she waited for the girl to reply. The were chipped, and some blood was trapped in them. Kady knew she should do something about them, but she couldn't be bothered. She barely had time to fix her hair and makeup, let alone her nails. But she knew she had to at least scrub them harder, blood wasn't a good thing to have on your body.

Especially if it wasn't your own.

(its okay. same thing happens to me all the time)

hayley began to think to herself. just the way the girl was looking at her, she must of thought she was was stupid, or something. hayley looked down, ashamed. she wanted to find a way to tell the girl that shes been paranoid and suspicious lately. the memorial of the exploding man, people may call it, has been getting to her lately. people must be asking questions. how one man can blow up the inner city of new york and leave so much damage. she laughed at herself when the girl explained everything to her. hayley could sense the scarcasm. she didnt blame her though. she looked up at the girl.

"well...this will be long story short. very short." hayley explained. "my name is hayley, hayley williams. i want to be a singer, if anything in my life. i live here, new york. and i eat ice cream when its freazing cold outside like today." a giggle bounced off hayleys lips. "i do love ice cream." she commented. she looked back at the girl. "so...how about you? like, i see that you like to sing. you obviously have a great voice." hayley hoped that the girl wouldnt notice that hayley never answered her last question. 'something special... hayley thought. 'well, if being able to see the future, and almost ghosts, well then yes. i can do something special.'

hayley noticed the girl looking down at her nails. hayley looked down aswell and there was blood. dry blood. 'eww...' it didnt bother hayley as much though. everyone gets their fingers dirty, right? hayley wouldnt care much about it. anything could of happened. hell, that could even be punch...but it sure didnt look like punch.
