FULL HISTORY ? Alethia was born in New York to her loving parents, Benjamin and Lucy Caldwell a year after they adopted her older sister, Ellyn, and lived the normal, happy life of a nine-year-old; until she had a horrible nightmare in which both her parents are killed. A year later they actually were. After the death of her parents both girls were sent to live with the only other realatives they knew: their Grandparents. Alethia realises she has an ability when another one of her strange dreams ends up on the news and knows it can’t just be a coincidence.

Alethia had just come home from school and was sitting on her bed, staring out her window. Her two dogs were running around in the backyard kicking up grass and dirt as they went. Alethia reached under her pillow and pulled out a beaten up book. Letters from newspaper clippings, magazines and scrapbooking sets spell out the words “Future Dream Diary” on the cover. She opened the diary to the most recent page, reached for the pack of pencil crayons on the nightstand, started humming the tune to “While my guitar gently weeps”—one of her favourite songs-- and coloured in the unfinished drawing.

“There.” She said once it was finished. “Much better.”

Alethia stared at the book. She always tried to figure out what she was seeing, or what she would be seeing as she had found out, so she can decide whether or not she would have to help.

She couldn’t save her parents and because of that she feels obligated to save others, she wasn’t sure what her parents would’ve thought about it but they probably would have agreed.

It was obvious what the drawing was of despite the cartoon-style and over exaggerated colours. There were several people doing various, interesting magic tricks. Nothing serious. After a minute of thought she wrote the word “Circus?” at the bottom of the page but crossed it out, it didn’t feel right. Somthing important was missing, something that made these people special, and she just didn’t know what.
