Quick Start Characters, or Locked Characters, are characters who have not filled out any application to play. These characters are optionally available to anyone, so that you can both get a handle on your character and on the game.
Quick Start is a way to quickly start playing while you are going through the application process.
STEP ONE. Basic Reading Materials
1) Review the Board Policies.
2) Brief yourself on
the theme.STEP TWO. Pick a Character Idea
Your character will most likely be some sort of inmate, so you will need an age (under 18), a gender, a name, and a crime.

Register with your character's name in this format: Firstname Lastname (eg. John Doe).
STEP FOUR. Roleplay
As an unapproved character, you may roleplay in one of two forums:
Committing a Crime: You may start roleplay somewhere in the wizarding world, right before a Hitwizard or Auror comes to arrest you or chase you down or whatever needs to be done. A member of the Story Council will come to roleplay with you.
Arriving to the Facility: You will arrive to the facility by Portkey accompanied by a Marshal, where you will be taken to the Warden's Office. There is a
SPEECH you should view pertaining to your arrival, if you would like an example, although it is written from the Warden's point of view. The Warden will come to roleplay with you.
You do not need to roleplay these two stages out. If you choose, you may include them in your character's history and simply wait for approval (in which case, skip to the
Unlocking Your Character thread).
STEP FIVE. Unlock
At the time that you choose, you may unlock your character by following the instructions in the next thread.
