I bought both of them for my PS3...I couldn't resist the temptation...
I finished the COD 3 in just two nights(slow? ). Frankly speaking it doesn't give me any impression at all. It just an average game. The close fight thing in it is not that good, seems to me I am fighting a sand bag with a gun. If one thing is good in this game is, it applies a lot actions to the motion sensor. The remote controller 's motion sensor is cool, very sensitive piece of device. On the other hand, Rainbow Six Las Vegas is very very cool...I recommend it for FPS fans. The graphics is good (of course, it is PS3) and the motion of these special forces team members can only be described by the "sexy". The weapons looks and sounds very very authentic and the AI for the game is great! I especially enjoyed the team play. I am leading a team of 3 and the options for team play is awesome! Overall, I give COD3 5 points out of 10 and 9 points for Rainbow Six Las Vegas. |

To add to this and to go slightly off topic here......................
I am for the first time since my sega genesis, considering buying a console. My computer can no longer play the newest titles, and it needs more than just a video card upgrade, I would need a whole new unit. I also recently purchased a sexy 40" Samsung LCD with HD and all the works. I think getting a PS3 or XBox 360 is in order so... What do you guys prefer? Whats the best buy? I mainly play FPS games and I would love to play them online still with the console. Any info is appreciated as I am clueless in the console biz |

you can build a complete rocket box for a grand. it will run and play stuff better and for far longer then any console. between the two, if you mus get a console, get the 360. its microsoft, so its going to be easy to hack. this allows you to add a hard drive and then copy your game to it. and this thread is being moved... |

I used to play PC games, until I bought PS3. PS3 is expensive but definitely worth the price tag. It comes with a blu-ray player(a blu-ray player itself is much more expensive than 600 dollars, and of course, it plays DVD too ), and the game arsenal for PS3 is growing fast. For FPS fans, there are a couple of hot topics are available now or more will come soon. I also think FPS is best played by a controller, than a keyboard. Furthermore, with PS3+HDTV combination, I feel very comfortable with the quality of the graphics. Sony puts every available new technology into the PS3 box, and they tried REALLY hard to make PS3 a some kind of network media center. The user friendly controls and universal networking capability of the machine, makes it so easy to control and play. At last, the graphics is incomparable with Xbox 360. Just my two cents. |

Didn't i just hear something about the 360 having a host of troubles? One in three is returned for repair?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/newsid_6...700/6277716.stm The EU council adressed microsoft to deal with this. Apearently microsoft swaps the box when you return it, they got repaired ones on stock and swap them round straight away, then send yours for repair etc. This doesn't go down well in these parts, we kindoff not want anyone elses machine, god knows where it has been. |
